Jeff I have just got a Maschine MK 3 and found your channel. I have to say the quality of your content is superb. Your video skills are obviously a cut above the rest and add to the clarity of the information your putting over. Thank you for your hard work, you are assisting to smooth out my learning curve.
Just got my mk3 in the mail. Can wait to plug the f-er in. Thanks so much for these tutorials. I know they are going to come in handy in flattening the learning curve. Keep up the great work.
Because of Jef I Started using Maschine to arrange my songs, It's not as flexible as my DAWs but I find it pretty straight forward with the way it was designed... Everything is right there so I spend less time searching sounds and more time playing, and the looping in ideas view is awesome! Thank you for great videos
I'm a guitarist/songwriter/bad keyboard player who bought Maschine Mk3 a couple of years ago to try and update/upgrade my songwriting and playing. It's been a big struggle for me to understand the technical side of digital/computer recording, I'm retired now so I blame my age! :) Your video lessons have been a godsend! Thank you so much for all your hard work, making the seemingly complex, simple, understandable and most enjoyable!
I've to to tell you...I've had a Maschine for a couple of years now and had gotten so frustrated with trying to figure it out that it just started collecting dust. It seemed like every video I watched just wanted to show of cool things it could do without explaining what was going on. They were just pushing buttons and turning knobs everywhere with no explanations. I even tried watching them in slow motion to try to figure out what the heck they were doing. I recently set my closet studio back up and decided to try it again. It was then that I discovered your tutorials and although I have only watched a few, they have made all of the difference to me. You explain everything very well and take the time to point out each control that you are using so I can easily follow your lead. I finally feel like this is something I can learn to use and love. Thank you!
Another Gem. I've spent the past week going over your videos, and they're going to be something I reference for a long time. Thank you for all your effort to the production community Jef! You are appreciated.
It's these clear tutorials on the basics that make learning Maschine bearable and even enjoyable. Thanks, Jeff! I appreciate these more than you'll ever know.
FINALLY! Someone actually showing how to load plugins, LOL! I have wanted to know this before i buy it, but everyone just talks about how you should load a plugin before they show any of the actual workflow... It has been annoying :P
Thank you, Jef. I'm really glad I waded through the manual before coming back to check out your series on Maschine. This effects tutorial and the following one about send effects have helped me enormously.
This (again) has been amazing. I'm absolutely hooked into your tutorials, so once again thank you very much. Would you consider doing a video on the Compressor, and also side chain compression in Maschine? Having come from Ableton I'm a little lost on how to do this with the MK3 hardware.
Jef, another great tutorial. As we discussed in the Maschine FB group. I’ve had Maschine for years and I still learn many new things every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks for another great video.
How to turn of effects/samples 5:27 you select the effects, sAMPLE or audio module in use with the 4d encoder, then push it inward as if you were going to upload a new effect then instead choose none and your sample/effect in use will disappear.
Not sure if my last post went through but I was asking how to live play the performance strip using the Maschine to a DAW. I finally figured it out. Create 1 Instrument track (stereo). In bus = none / output = bus 1-2. Add Maschine FX to Instrument 1 track created. Make sure it's the effects not the regular plugin. Not sure how it's labled in ableton as I use protools. Add audio track(s). For instance let's use two. Audio track one input = bus 1-2, default out. Audio track two = ext 2 input. I used 1 sound per group adding the performance fx plugin within the vst. NOTE: Make sure you route your Maschine channel outputs (from the group) to each EXT to each group. Basically in Protools, and most DAWs the instrument track BUSes the Midi to WAV and exports it to each individual track on the DAW when played. The highlighted group in Maschine will then allow you to use the performace FX to manipulate in realtime the group and will output on the DAW. Hope this helps anyone else. Been trying to do this for half a year. Hopefully you can release a tutorial with this info, as I have not seen anything that did just this.
I get this way of finding effects but how do you use the effects that you see in the effects tab and those effects within expansion? for example transistor punch has multi fx within and I have no idea how to use them
Do you tend to use the Maschine more or the s61(I guess) more? I want to get the Maschine or the s49 mk2. My understanding is that you can do the same on each piece of equipment?

Great video. You’re like the Bob Ross of Maschine. Request: create a video on Maschine automation.
Bob Ross... love it... request is noted! Thanks
Love the music clip you wrote here - creates a great atmosphere.

Hi Jef, Thank you all the wonderful Maschine tutorials. High quality content and enjoyable presentation. Tons of useful info.
Man thank you again. Learned the basics of sampling and had a hard time figuring out adding effects so this was crazy helpful 🙏

You are such an amazing teacher. Thanks for the lesson.
Man, that means a lot, thanks for posting!
Don’t think that High Hopes melody was overlooked. 😄. Nice video sir. I’ve considered the MK3 but have heard linear recording is not an option.

Is there an effect that can make a sound pan left and right without automation? If it is automation, what are you using to do that?
Do you tend to use the Maschine more or the s61(I guess) more? I want to get the Maschine or the s49 mk2. My understanding is that you can do the same on each piece of equipment?
If you’re not a piano player, you might like the maschine more!
Where do you get the nice wood stand?
That's from Art's Wood Designs, I'll leave a link in the description!
