That snare solo puts even the fastest and fittest drummers to the the test and for some its damn near impossible so props to him

Yooo I like the sticking on this but I’m pretty sure roger Taylor originally did those 16ths on the hi-hat with just his right hand!

Even RT says he avoids playing this, because of that reason. It's HARD to keep 16th notes going at this tempo, when 99% of your other songs are played with 1/4 & 8th notes. The only other classic rock drummer that could still pull this off, is Alex Van Halen. His right hand (especially, on the ride bell), has been KILLER since the "Van Hagar" days.

I also drum this with only right hand on hihat. In fact I find that easier than a shuffle like this guy's doing. Everyone has his own style ;) Though I did not find that the hardest part of this drum pattern. It was the timing on the bassdrum that freaked me out when I first tried this one!

Are you fcken stupid, even Roger said it was very difficult to do 16ths with one hand and maintaining the tempo. Nowadays he uses two hands when live performing this song
