This sounded like trying to pick a song in guitar hero 3😂
@That1Name alt why not guitar hero 3
I Actually coughed out loud
So true 😂😂
That1Name alt Cause that’s the best one
i would've finally found a good song and picked #46
i kinda wish that slowly with time more and more youtube musicians add themselves to this and we can get 100 riffs played by a band that never really met.
jonatan bukshester I want a bass cover to go along with it!
Cariad Wooster so tell to Davie504
omfg yessss
jonatan bukshester that would be cool
I thought the same
Guitarist - Plays Hot for a Teacher
Drummer - *Aight imma head out*
So true
just wanna say that I'm your 420th like
@@antonioguinoo Avgeek?
@@benstark2065 wouldn't say geek, more of an enthusiast
@@antonioguinoo Haha I'd like to think of myself like that as well
I think davie504 could play the bass line for this
th-cam.com/video/md_Rpulv6hk/w-d-xo.html
Bass and drums!
Yesss
That would make it dope af
now all we need are vocals
Now someone add a 100 bass riffs to this video
Yeah i felt like it was missing the bass throughout the entire video...
On it
+Sam Frank ur shit u have no subs
+Gaming 101 yeah but your gaming 101 channel is totally lit...
+Ian Maloney (it'sMAYHEM) it's just a name
The snare sounds soooo nice
thank you
he has a piece of paper over the snare just noticed
Yeah you can do amazing things with proper post processing. Or blending a sample.
Hey guys. I honestly got a good sound randomly. The paper was the list of songs from practicing that I had taped to my snare. After the list broke in the middle it sounded pretty sick with the leftover paper on there, so I left it.
Jonah Clarke v.
Is no one going to talk about how he did this in one take
That’s what I’m saying lmao dude is a beast
No
That's the point, the original video's challenge was that you played it all in one take
He didn't play hot for teacher drum he is a stupid idiot dumb brained bad drummer stupid bad (bad)
@@harrisongluvar haha. whatever
Smells like teen spirit is always amazing when the drums come on
Smells like teen spirit will always be amazing, period.
@@nugs5967 that's your opinion...
@@nugs5967 he didn't think the song sucked, he just hated to play it.
@@nugs5967 splish splash, your opinion is trash
I agree and I don’t even like Nirvana that much
The drumming is spectacular, but what impresses me more is how he is able to retune his guitar within a second or two in between songs.
lol yea I agree
True
Ian Favreau after doing some digging he has a floor pedal lol
Jordan Wilson you can see him turn the tuning key when he changes tuning.
I think he has recorded it before and filmed afterwards.
5:24 😂 I’m not gonna blame him, I’d break my legs.
Switching through the car radio be like
Your car must have some very good stations then.
Hahahaha rock n roll in 21st century radios, I don't think so
@@Pedro-ug2cn get your shitty 2007 Toyota Prius with it's shitty screen out if this conversation.
Alpfury can i have the raidio station names plz
Im just impressed how the drummer managed to change the Bpm on every song so well.
I died when you were like fuck that on hot for teacher lmfao!
lol
Same i laughed so hard
I cried 😢
+GeneralFitsuki no you didn't
+Gyan Yadava 10/10 you are have a great deduction skill
It's amazing how much character a proper drum adds to a guitar.
No its amazing to see how proper guitar adds to drums
@@funstuffwithtristan7602 sorry bro, but it is the other way around as Beren said. They both have huge importance though.
André Luiz Tameirão Castelo Branco de Almeida I think it’s all up to perspective and song. Sometimes it’s one way and sometimes the other
its when you really notice that bass is important
Especially with RHCP stuff.
Yep 100% I can say this as a drummer and guitarist
It’s adds to the sound a lot
@@gabeaddisonmusic why did you post 2 months after
@@whitenixtv6551 idk it gave me a notification or something I didn’t see anything so I just added another comment lol 😂
playing hysteria without the bass line should be illegal
Should be? I'm sure it just straight up *is*
It's a full sin to not play hysteria without a bass line
Ive seen the original video a million times. And I am going to see this one another million times. Someone needs to take this video now, and make a bass over all the riffs in one take.
YES
That what I was thinking this whole time that would be cool
Oh I'm so doing that, ace idea bro
Nice mustang pf picture. Im a car enthusiast. :)
PotatoeCookies I agree. matthew freeman Same here.
ACrispyHobo Thanks bro
Umar Yusuf I am myself as well. I have been ever since I was little. GTR R-35 picture is nice too bro!
I love how during hot for teacher you were just like NOPE
I’m like 14 and I can play that full but even then learning it was hard so,no disrespect at all. (Btw nice timing on them hard time signatures).
@Dont Judge Me. Same
I learned it by ear and it was quite easy
Noah Parkes it’s easy it just sound hard cuz it’s fast
Omg n00bs, I learned that whole song instantly at age 6 without even hearing it. I'm so good.
/s
So glad I accidentally opened this video.
Pretty impressive lol
R/oopsdidntmeanto
Glad valakes
Same
I like the part when he hit the drum.
My favorite part actually
Now all we need is someone to play bass over THIS and have somebody else sing, and we're all set!
most of these don't have lyrics until after the riff though.
Noah Baldwin And don't forget cowbell
Shane McCollum Eh, it could work. Helter Skelter and Layla definitely do, and I'm sure he others could work as well.
a channel called FrozenFrog apparently has a bass cover now.
It's by this 16yo guy named Nicolas Tutealca. All Frozen Frog did was throw them together. I plan on challenging myself to either put keys or vocals over it. I'd be more adept to work lyrics in even if they don't occur at those points, but I don't have any vocal equipment, so it'd probably be keys if I did anything.
#37 NEEDS MORE COWBELL!!!
Shawn Buchanan The disappointment when he used no cowbell in don't fear the reaper :
For cow bell #101 Mississippi Queen.
He should of done the stick thing above his head atleast
Shawn Buchanan
HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL!
YOU ALWAYS NEED MORE COWBELL
I realize I’m not breaking new ground by saying this or anything, but MAN do drums just breathe life into music. Those guitar riffs are so catchy and iconic on their own, but adding the drums elevated them tremendously.
8:55 how you beat your kid
That transition from sweet home Alabama to Walk This Way tho
Indeed
Number 37 needs more cowbell.
ha
I was just about to comment that lol
MORE COWBELL!
Ryan Thom same
John Guerrero I got a fever....And the only prescription is MORE COWBELL
The transition from smells like teen spirit to give it away was unreal
Jack Mackenzie two of the most 90’s songs ever so it made sense
Also...
1. Sweet Home Alabama to Walk This way
2. Evenflow to Outshined
3. Don't Fear The Reaper to Carry On, My Wayward Son
It's 99 Riffs on Drums. He skipped Hot For Teacher.
Nah. That's still playing. Half of being a good drummer is knowing when to shut up.
He cant
Christapher McDowell that goes for every instrument when there’s a rest
Joey Middleton he skipped the easy part, the “hard” intro is just overdubbed
It's a damn shame, too.
I think Don't Fear The Reaper needs more cowbell...
leave
Cheesy joke
100% correct
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 💀
hot for teacher😂
I don't blame you, it's ridiculously hard
ok now someone needs to do bass
+A Is For Animal Lol there's a video of a 6 year old drumming to it! Not that it's easy, and yes he's just a prodigy lol.. But none the less, bitta practice would get you there
+a is for animal what do you mean hot fo teacher is hard Evan a 6 year old can do it ( Avery molek if you know who he is).
+Trevor Martin if you break it down, it isn't very difficult. It's more about endurance rather than speed.
For the 10 seconds or less that the guitar riff was played, he should have been able to play it. The drum intro of Hot For Teacher is the cooler part of that song anyway.
THIS SOUNDS so much better with the drums
We need all the instruments to make a good song sound GREAT
Exactly, Ammara ! It was a treat to my ears. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The guitar player had the balls to play Smoke on the Water
Hot for teacher is nuts
Lacnevorp I can play it
ItZ FarGo nobody asked
I think he didn’t have double bass for it
I think Hot for Teacher was from Eruption...
@@biguglyskunk1248 Nah. After the first couple seconds of the drum solo it starts up. It's pretty sick too
It's funny, because I can almost never remember a drum pattern off the top of my head, but when I hear it and it's the right one it's like "yep, that's exactly it". Excellent job!
Blue Oyster Cult Don't Fear The Reaper. I gotta have more cowbell baby lol
I got a fevaaa
and the only prescription is more cowbell
Everyone just read those 3 comments in Christopher Walken's voice
Everyone is talking about the transition to smells like teen spirit but noone else is gonna comment on that sexy ass transition to funk 49
How about sweet home Alabama to walk this way
Just wanted to say that this video inspired me to go back into drumming. I played for roughly 4 years but stopped quite a while back.
thats awesome!
Aaron that’s great!! Glad your back into drummin
Why would you quit?
I don't know shit about drums but your drumset sounds great
thanks so much
Corey Myers agreed - although ive played drums for 6 years but I'm gonna give up soon, guitar is more my thing
Chris Andrade Ikr. all the drum parts are wrong
Lamborghini Diablo SV 5150 he was saying the kits sounds great. Not saying the playing sucked. XD
2:54 Top Gear Intro Song
Ville Juhlin on tonight’s program
ON TONIGHT’S PROGRAM
Yes it is, nobody seems to realise that the top gear intro was a real song before top gear
Yes. And wheeler dealers is next
Over the past 3 years or so I've come back and watched this video about 20 times. Excellent work, my friend. 👌👍🤙
Glad you enjoyed it!
sultans of swing to message in a bottle sounded fantastic
This video shows how much do the drums count in a rock song!
+Andrei Gabriel Not always. The drumming for "Satisfaction" and "Crossroads" were practically the same, and the drum intro for "Helter Skelter" was later copied by Dave Grohl for Nirvana's "Stay Away."
+Rawk4Life nah man, leave
+Rawk4Life What's your point?
+Rawk4Life the original beats for those two songs sound similar, I just played what was close to the originals on those. There is a link at the bottom of the description for the spotify playlist that the Chicago music exchange used. I'm almost sure some of the songs are covers.
Andrei Gabriel You're a goddamn idiot.
OMG the tempo adjustments you had to do AND executed perfectly sometimes in the same riff! Amazing dude! What an incredible work!
your timing is incredible and your drums sound awesome.
You are a credit to ALL drummers !
Top notch playing, a lovely sounding basic kit (all a drummer needs) and one hell of a photographic memory.
incredible !!
Now all we need is someone playing the triangle
Underrated
It needs more cowbell
Stevie T
Stevie T
Coby Sanderson the world renown triangle player of dragonforce
Very tight style of playing. What sold me was the snare tone. Well done.
That kit sounds amazing, men! Specially the 21" crash and the Snare... I love it! Keep Rocking and Long Life Rock&Roll
Where did you leave the COWBELL?? :p Great job otherwise.
Hahaha
+AustroProductions More cowbeeeeeeell
+Alec Rogerson hahaha same thoughts
HELLO?! WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!!
+AustroProductions BECAUSE THE ONLY THING WE NEED IS MOOOORE COOOOOWBEEEEELLLL
One of the best/cleanest guitarist I've ever seen. Amazing drums as well.
The turnarounds are sharp, the playing is tight...
Great video man!
How are you gonna disrespect “Don’t fear the reaper” like that. Makes me sick. And the only cure is MORE COWBELL
ive been looking for this comment for years
The video is all wrong. Not that you played badly, your playing was great!
But there was no cowbell for Don't Fear the Reaper.
+scubadog2000 that's played by the vocalist
Well, then have someone walk in from off-screen with a cowbell for one song!
Lol
Scubadog best possible response😂
So that's not ALL wrong
I like how when Hot For Teacher started, drummer was like, no.
THIS IS INCREDIBLE YOU ARE SO AMAZING!! I can't even imagine how much work must've gone into making this??
The transitions are amazing, well done guys, couldn't have been easy to do this video. 10/10
During the Thunderstruck bit. I subconsciously heard the (aahhahah) like in the song. Freaking crazy
Van Halen comes a long and you were like "nope not doing that one" haha
Nice drum sound and probably my favorite list I’ve seen so far
I had so much fun watching!! The transitions are fluid and neat!! You deserve more recognition. You're very talented
omg great i never thought that the drums change the song that much awesome work 👍💪
4:55 is what I came for :))))))
lollillybick same my guy! :)
I was more for Tom Sawyer but that’s a good one too...
I LOVE what you did with Cliffs Of Dover!!! Makes it so much better!!!!
Those drums sound amazing and so does the drumming. Good job!
You seem like the most awesome to play with, so versatile, smooth and tight. Great job.
+Teun Music Productions Well maybe we will play someday! You never know.
Would be awesome!
Too bad the original video didn't do another bar of I Can't Explain by The Who. It wasn't long enough for you to do a Keith Moon fill, and that's downright criminal.
Haha, I was thinking the same thing!
Yeah that was missed.
This video has been my favorite TH-cam video for the past 5 years
The drums rly change the whole original video and it’s amazing
Super fun one, Corey! Well played!
+Buck A thanks Buck!
hell yeah- and you did it really good!! Thank you for sharing!
Hey man, nice job! There's definitely some songs/sections in here that don't really have drum parts, but you filled them well. The ones that did have prominent drums though, you definitely nailed! Enjoyed listening.
Adding the drums and putting the guitar into context is the coolest thing
simple, effective, so damn musical! i love that video.
10:30 89. hysteria-muse (self note)
also 93
I love the sound of your kit man!
thank you!
It’s amazing how the drums can bring context to riffs. Before when I heard the original video I had mentally placed emphasis on different parts of the riffs than what was intended in the original song.
6:46 I think he loves this one x)
It’s a bitchin’ song, I don’t blame him.
I think too x)
2:34 sounded like a Stevie ray vaughn Song
good job well done. sunday bloody sunday a great riff of drums
this video about 4 years ago is what motivated me to get drums 0.0 amazing to see it come back up in my recommended
Yeah, I feel his pain on 52.
I once tried going that fast and my hands hurt
King Nick me too, but I tore my groin
Laughed so hard at hot for teacher
This is great man! Good job.
He had these things perfectly lined up. And they all sounded so great. I say good job. Great job.
Imagine if he didnt press record
It's just 12 min
*99 rock riffs
why?
+Ezza Bryce He skipped one :)
+SirLML85 i didn't notice, which one?
+SirLML85 nevermind i remembered
+Angel Castillo Alright
damn dude, did so well to take that on without any proper cues other than learning the original guitar video! props man.
thanks so much dude
Wow, I like how the drum overlay really brings life to the riffs!
Why am I here, i don't even play drums, I don't even have a drumkit.
Roser to contemplate real music
Dude, this guy tunes his guitar like a beast. How in the crap does he drop tune so fast and go right back to E... 20 years of guitar playing and I couldn't do that consistently even if I tried
I bet it was a lot of fun making this! Nice job!
well, i don’t fancy drum covers but this is so great! it helps to make the r’n’r vibe come over why better!
I didn’t know James Marriott could drum
Oh my god I didn't even realise
😂
Even flow to outshined to killing in the name flowed perfectly
Those cymbals sound amazing man. Very well played!!
This is amazing! Thank you for taking one of my favorite videos (100 guitar riffs) and making it better. My only critique: #37 needs more cowbell.
I would love to have a playlist with all this music, i guess im gonna have to do it by myself. alot of this stuff i heard on guitar hero 2, 3, rock Band, even guitar hero live and its very nostalgic. awesome setlist of songs you choose right there ;) this is definetely going to an pendrive. And awesome video pal peace
OK i saw the playlist, thx :D
PHiiLZ _ y did you reply to your self? Do you have DID?
0 explain to people Who saw my comment, its normal to do that u dumb
PHiiLZ _ Imma back out, cos that pic and that lingo makes me feel hella twitchy fam.
This one is good. Snare sounds superb. It'd be great to see a video with the greatest drumriffs (may I name it that way?) in r'nr history.
HAHAHAHA!... OK
+Santo Cristo Snare and toms do sound lovely
+Laurens D maybe add some backround guitar or something? But the drums lead, if u get what i mean
only good ones I can think of are toxicity and the beautiful people
The first 30 seconds and I was hooked! Great video!
What a beast! Respect man!👍
