Yes, but that thing Grazy said about the pressure on idols to be EXTRA polite to press hits too. BTS has gotten a lot of press & interesting comments on how polite they are, particularly to the press & media in S.K. I think the idea is that since press can kinda, write things from their perspective, if you flinch wrongly in front of them, it can be fuel for them to write badly about an idol. But the extra politeness might bias them to not write badly & not hound you for bad press. But of course, you can still do things outside of their field of vision, but that politeness may give you more room from the press. If any of that makes sense?

In my opinion. Despatch is not the problem as long as the new is not fake however fans should understand that those idols are humans and they won't date them( fans) AND they should be FREE TO DATE WHO THEY WANT PERIOD.

In Japan you can find porn almost everywhere - but there isn't that much prostitution in the country (there is but nowhere compared to other countries - such as the US, Thailand and such). Korea, on the other hand, pornography is still illegal (although you can find it on social media sites) - BUT prostitution is much more common - the dirty little secret that everyone knows about but no one talks about publically. (The reality of Seungri's Burning Sun scandal is it's much more common than most westerner realize - and you can bet that there are probably a lot more kpop idols who partake but just do a better job of keeping it quiet). Remember that in Korean culture, image is hugely important - which is why admitting to depression (and counseling) or mental health questions is a huge no-no.

I also read someone said it is because Dispatch gets exclusive interviews and photoshoots in exchange for not releasing secret idol information, in other words for example dispatch might tell Bighit " I know your idol from your agency is dating this person, we have pictures, I won't release this information to the public if you let me have the exclusive interview or photoshoot".
Dispatch wins views, money to their company by having exclusive content and like wise Idol company wins since no one will ever see those pictures or footage they might have of Idol A dating Idol B and not ruin their career and cause the company to lose money either due to jealous fans cancelling group. It's a win win.

Dispatch is literally in the same predicament as all these drama channels on TH-cam these days. Yes, they are all in here for the money, but we should never silence someone simply because they try to reveal a truth. I do understand that people get upset, but in case of Dispatch, idol fans should change their attitude. Seeing the reactions and calling it a SCANDAL that two idols are dating is just crazy to me. Now, I understand, I'm not Korean, I'm from a western country, but idols are still human, they don't belong to you, only because you like them. Its one free and liberal choice to either support an idol or not.
Also we tend to forget the good things these gossipy places do at times. If it wasn't for the constant reports (not only from Dispatch, but from literally everywhere), we wouldn't know certain things about a certain boy group/entertainment.
Edit: I'd like to add that the amount of power journalism possess in Korea needs to be controlled. In case of Ailee, she was receiving lots of negative press, because of the influence of other individuals - allegedly. Press should be as truthful as it could possibly be and contrary to what you mentioned, I believe that lots and lots of money is used to make or break one's career through bad press.

I believe that some Dispatch couples are mediaplay, publicity stunts however you want to call them, maybe not all of them but some definitely are. I wouldn't discard some being real but used for publicity and buzz though. There are rumors about Jenkai being mediaplay. Take this with a grain of salt but a big bang sansaeng spilled some teas about some scandals, one of them was that Jennie and Jennie never dated and all her teas about scandals and comebacks came true. Not only that but some exol sasaengs knew about the mediaplay I'm inclined to believe that this true because their dates never matched up and some things don't add up. If this happens in Hollywood why not in Kpop industry a good example is Camila and Shawn Mendes.

For some unexplained reason, I still think Taeyeon and Baek's relationship was fake. There was an ongoing issue that time and they probably just used these two to cover that first issue.

When I got into Kdrama then KPop in 2014 I was confused why dating some one was considered a scandal when it is only natural especially in ones 20s. until I listed to an NPR radio lab podcast called K-poparazzi among other things they talked about Dispatch ‘s history, you might find that interesting too and though it was done in 2016, some things they talk about still apply to Kpop today I think.

I think Dispatch is basically just Koreas TMZ. They really dont do much anything else than other new sources or whatever do. There are constantly relationsip rumours in western media as well but no one pays attention to those in the same way they do when Dispatch releases rumours

dispatch knows a lot more than they let on, but i heard that some companies pay them to stay quiet, or they let dispatch take planned photos of the artists so that dispatch get their money from that.
i do think that dispatch prob has some close ties with sasaengs, bc those fans know a LOT more than they share with the public. they prob know shit that could ruin the idols' careers, and i doubt dispatch would be stupid enough not to take advantage of that
also, when dispatch (i think) put out the rumour that they knew of a gay idol couple a couple of years ago, but wouldnt share it bc of the privacy of the couple, it made me realize that all those couples who get suddenly exposed mayyy just be dispatch and the companies striking a deal - or the company purposely going to dispatch to give them a "juicy rumour" that they pretend they dont want leaked, especially since a lot of the exposing dispatch does happens a few weeks or months before comebacks/other scheduled things that the company wants attention on. all pr is good pr, as they say

I heard a theory from my friend that companies pay dispatch to not leak the secrets that they gathered and if they fail to pay them, they would leak them. But i don't, it's just a theory from a friend ^^'

I don't trust dispatch. I don't care if they make a deal with an artist about no stalking or whatever. But overall, I do not trust it. With the way how they treat these artist, it just cost my trust for Dispatch. I do believe that Dispatch needs to chill with the stalking and such. And as for the media play, I honestly believe that some people will media played the couple news, and also make fake news. There is an American celebrity couple right now, where they are making it believable that it is a PR stunt, while at the same time, I can see how real this is. The whole noise thing, I understand where you coming form with that. The black mermaid was enough noise for it to gain attention, and to make people wanting to see the movie. The lion king movie, with an all black cast, won my money, and I am not all that with the remixes, and is just mainly there for the music. And the jokes and the pictures that made things looks wrong, I think that some people purposely take a photo that "looks wrong" just to ask someone if this looks wrong or not. Instead of sharing the entire video. The video of that Baskin Robbins commercial looks clean to me, and my first impression with the commercial was the photos. I think that some people may have mistaken to think that, while at the same time, some people are just thinking wrong. Like, we get it, you think it's sexual. Learn how to filter yourself, because with comments like that, ain't helping your character. And I'm not the type who is willing to call people a big accusation like a P*, without seeing through the obvious evidence with full confidence.

I know about this girl who liked a boy group member and she was staff at his agency. He started dating some actress and the girl got jealous and told dispatch lmao there are many reason why there are snitches out there. I don't think it will ever go away. There will always be a dispatch but when they stalk and take pictures of the celebrities without them knowing, they should get fined or arrested for stalking imo.
