Really pretty. If you hang them, do they hold, or do they fall? I made some really cool gingerbread ones one year, but they gradually fell off the tree one by one over a few days because they were too heavy so they broke!

It depends, if it’s humid the cookies stay soft and then the string can break through the cookie. The icing should help to prevent it from breaking ☺️

I used to do that, but I’d put them in individual plastic bag (made for gift giving, not zip-lock). Tie tops with curling ribbon, and put hooks on that instead. That way, they not only stay fresh, they’re ready for gifting to unexpected guests, or for family members to grab before leaving from a family Christmas party!

Christmas balls origin are edible thin breads, the ones used at Holy Mass except they are not Consecrated. Later years, they evolved into circle cookies (just like yours) then changed into the christmas balls we see today.

Is your icing 20 sec icing. I've started timing mine when I make it and it is doing better. But I want to learn how to do the little bead and drag thing you do...mine look like a pointy blob because I can't figure out the texture.for the icing. Also how big is the hole you cut for your tips.

The bead and drag doesn’t have a count to it because it doesn’t smooth out on its own. It’s just soft peak☺️ I cut the hole as small as I can get it and still have icing come out
