Just found your channel and Subscribed. Very nice work, nice lathe
Thank You and Thanks for watching and the sub
I'll do the same
Enjoyed the video! Often times I find people on TH-cam needing a lathe to repair/modify the used one they just bought. Take care and stay healthy my friend!
Thanks for watching
I'm sure you will be glad to have the lathe in your shop. I have found numerous uses for my little old lathe.
Hi i need help i need make thread 10 tpi but details of gear in machine is incorrect, you know make thread 10 tpi?
Sorry I haven't cut threads on my machine, I just use T&D if I need to make threads.
But maybe someone may read this and will be able to answer your question.
Thanks for Watching
These lathes are just fine if you take the time to mess with them enough to make them usable . I have the 7 x 12 , which is all i need for what I`m doing (making little pins etc) .
Like you I received the very same lathe but not what I ordered. And like you I did not like the company I ordered from. But all in all it's not a bad lathe and yes after a few simple mods ( and ordering a backup set of angular contact bearings for the inevitable failure of the standard ball bearings ) it is going to do what I want it to do. Please post any videos of your mods/improvements. Cheers 😁
Yes.. I also have angular contact bearings ready for when the cheap bearings give out.. or I get time set aside to change them. I did have an issue with the tailstock clamp.. the plate inside the bed was pretty poorly designed so I replaced it with 1/4" steel and added a guide piece of steel that attaches to the bottom of the tailstock and fits snug between the bed rails. Makes for a firmer feel... Less flopping around when moving the tailstock.
I don’t need a lathe. I don’t even know how to operate one other than what I’ve seen on you tube. But I sure want one. I’d probably start off only taking face cuts skimming off a couple thousands and trying to learn how to cut threads but what I do know is that if I did learn to do all that I’d probably become dissatisfied in short order. That’s where the problem comes in. Obviously I should buy a used larger heavier version but how can I even justify purchasing something that I can’t operate? Thank you for your presentation and I’ll mull this over for some time before I make a decision.I know I’m 3years late for the party but if you’re still around can you tell me two things you really don’t like about it after owning it for as long as you do. Thanks
thank you for your response . Did your lathe come with any accessories ? You are right that there are many lathes on ebay and amazon. I had
looked at micromark and little machine shop.
Yes it came with some cheap tooling, so I was able to use it right away
Talk about the lathe.... you lost me early on.
It would have been nice if you "DEMONSTRATED ANY" kind of turning this lathe would do. The ONLY thing I learned, because I'm thinking of purchasing that exact lathe, is that it DOES have a reversing lever for the gears and headstock.
and the man does love his Busch Light 😄
You also learned where his wife parks, how he places his old truck and many other unrelated crap. Not everybody is able to make a, straight on the topic, good video....
So, I found this same lathe and was wondering what kind of experience you had with its cutting depth per pass? I was quoted 12mm, which seems waaaaay over the top for this size of lathe.
And I was wondering, now that time has passed, if you had any issues with yours since you have started using it?
Your gonna only take a few thousand off per pass, these little lathes don't have the power to take off to much, plus you'll get a nicer finish.
I haven't had any issues with mine, but I don't use it daily.
Hope this helps you out and Thanks for Watching 👍
Where did you buy it, how much did you pay for it? I'm looking for a benchtop lathe to learn on before going out and seeing if I can find a larger older southbend or something.
I bought it off eBay, $530 but has metal gears and some cheap tooling.
Thanks for watching
@@barnyardgarage was it used? The models im seeing new are all 850'ish
No it was new, they were accepting offers, I low balled to get it started and that's where we ended up, I do know EVERYTHING has gone up in price, but most of the Chinese lathes are the same, so they try to be competitive I think, hell it probably all the same company LOL
I was really hoping for a review of the lathe, almost seven minutes in and.... not sure what the topic is?
Almost all the Chinese lathes are the same, this one happens to have metal gears, so it's up to you to decide if it's right for you
Thanks for watching
Music was way too distracting, felt like my kid was playing a gameboy game the entire time. Otherwise good video.
great spoof. How many times did you loop this thing?
Would be nice to know what lathe this was
WTF. If you don't know what you are going to say or what you paid for something don't comment on it. Your video didn't tell me anything about what you bought, which was I was interested in. You lost me at 4:58.
I wasn't giving an explanation about the lathe, it was about if it was worth the money,
Thanks for watching!!
When your playback speed is 2x and you still lost interest 🙄🙄🙄
Ik the feeling I watched your 2 vids well part of them, 😴😴😴😴😴🙄🙄 Thanks for watching
@@barnyardgarage lol I guess I could have been a little nicer with my comment. Trolls are a dime a dozen. I wasn't trying to be a dick. Maybe just a bit too salty with my critique. Hows the lathe been now that you've had it a while?
The lathe works good, for my needs anyway.
It's all good lol
We all know it's a boring video.
Planning on making one for all the Karen's (trolls) LOL
I thought I was going to die.....of either old age or starvation....
Awesome 👍 hope ur ok, thanks for watching!!
I am still on the fence which lathe to buy but this one offers a brushless motor, real tapered roller bearings and metal gears....Those three things push it way up the list for me compared to the others like the Harbor Freight lathe
Yep I say buy what you can afford because you're probably gonna do the upgrades anyway. 👍
Thanks for Watching
why impossible to find ppl using this on youtube? you only find people talking
What brand is your lathe and where did you purchase it from ? Thank you.
It's just a Chinese lathe from eBay, they are all pretty much the same, the reason I chose this one is because it came with metal gears.
Thanks for watching
how much? was?
I paid $530, but of course everything has gone up in price.
Thanks for watching
Give me the price of machine
I have the same lathe, do you know where to get parts for it?
Not sure what parts your looking for but
Littlemachineshop.com
Has about anything you would need.
Thanks for Watching
@@barnyardgarage Thanks, the only trouble I am having is figuring out what model I have. What model and manufacturer are you searching under on there website to find parts?
Thanks for the video! What did you end up paying for it? What was their asking price?
Asking was $675 paid $530 but it does have two sets of metal gears, so buy the time you buy a cheaper one and roughly $200 for metal gears if figure it to be a better deal.
Thanks for watching
From what I have been told you treat these machines as a basic building kit to use to make its own upgrades to actually make the machine a viable workhorse. Typical of everything from China from 3d printers, to laser, to mills, to lathes.... You said for a little bit more money you could have purchased a legit lathe then you did not elaborate on that. What is "legit"? How much is a little bit more?
Say Ah one more time. Lol
LOL 🤣🤣 IK IK
Sorry for that...
Thanks for Watching
Oh my God don't take offense to this. But you must be the 50th person I have watched about a mini lathe. All the videos start and end the same way. now I understand why I read the statistics that 3 out of 10 men watching this commit suicide
Not sure what ur looking for, if your looking for how to vids, then I would look for those kind of vids.
You'll have to put on ur big boy panties and figure out if it's right for you.
I suggest if you have room buy and older bigger lathe.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned there's gonna be a part 2 for all the trolls and Karens
Thanks again
Video about nothing... smh
Can you tell me were did you buy it?
I bought it from eBay, I don't have the link for it anymore
I’m a little curious how much you paid if you were thinking you could get a larger stand up used lathe for less than 1200 bucks or so. Just curious because I’m also looking for a smaller bench top lather and these ones I am seeing around eBay for around 695 which still isn’t too bad compared to some of the cheaper ones with plastic gears and no digital rom indicator.
I paid right at $700 delivered, I've seen other larger ones for $1000-1500 with a lot of tooling.
Even the cheap eBay lathes you will/can spend a bunch in tooling and upgrades, if I had the room I would have spent an extra $500 or so and bought a much better lathe.
Thanks for watching let me know what you end up getting
Is msin ko kha se khride
I want to buy one ...cant you send me the link?thanks
It will not let me copy the link,
If you look up
Y-wait69 on eBay, you'll see them there
Thanks for watching
looks around garage... bottles of soda take up more space than the lathe...
You might want to buy some nail cutters.
Thanks for Watching 👌
Tried to watch but the ‘background music’ was far too loud and overbearing.
Yeah it's not for everyone, I'll take a look at your vids for some ideas, Thanks 😊
@@barnyardgarage 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 ✊🏻🙂
Sorry but you haven't even unpacked and set it up properly yet,it's still on the shipping crate.
Hi Karen, fun fact for ya. It sat in the crate for over 2 yrs before I even got it out as far as I have. LOL 😂
Thanks for Watching
Your garage isnt very big...whaaaaat its huge. 🤣
LOL
Thanks for Watching
I,m from across the pond and everything is much smaller over here. How are you getting on with the lathe now Regards Stuart Bell UK.
Mini Lathe video.
Talk about car show.
Stop playing games.....$50/60 more. What was the price
Not sure what your asking/saying.
But I paid $530 over 3 yrs ago.
Thanks for Watching
Get something useful on those shelves or do away with them and get your 'real' lathe.
So, the bottom line after all that bloviating is that you do not know anything about the lathe. Were you just bored and wanting to ramble just to hear yourself talk?
You cought me, lol
Thanks for watching
@@barnyardgarage No, you caught all the rest of us and wasted our time. Maybe you should stick with slopping the hogs, huh?
Hey I need on a 6 inch diameter piece of wood lathed which is 2 feet long I'm willing to pay is there anybody that can help me
This lathe is for metal, I would try to reach out on a social media site for someone close to you
Thanks for watching
If you knew what I have tucked into my 193 square feet workshop (18 m2), you wouldn't complain about yours. Maybe it's small for USA standards, but ih has plenty of room.
Oh for sure, it's not about how much space, it's how you use it, but I moved from a 30x40 to a 20x24 lol
Thanks for watching
Hmmm
even x2 speed way too slow....
I know what ya mean, got about 4 sec, into ur last vid, ugh had to turn it off.. LOL 😂
Thanks for watching Karen!! Greatly appreciated.
Good god!!! Learn to complete a sentence in a timely manner! Plz don’t make anymore videos!
Hi Karen, probably should follow your own advice..

You don’t sound very clever or positive can’t get your words out huh
I didn't know I was trying to be clever.. I'll take notes from your vids.. but thanks for Watching
Like you have any room to comment, no video content on your channel
