Thank you for the insight into your way of zig fishing Tom. I have never give it a go before, however I’m starting on a new Syndicate in the new year with some good depths so will definitely be giving it a go 👍
agreed mate, size 4 to 6 with a curved long shank .. not thought about using surface line though . will give it a bash next time. never lost any on 12lb line but ive not caught anything over 27 on a zig . have maximum faith in them though !! nice one Tom and team
Thanks for the new insights Tom, i admit to being a dabbler and definitely need to commit on a session. On a 5 foot deep water would you consider a zig at 3 or 4 foot also? We cat surface on their due to bird's.
ohh and i alway use foam on the cast ! long anti tangle sleeve off the clip , you need to send that line forward before the lead hits the water so it dont tangle on the line back to the reel
Great video Tom. As I have not much experience in zig fishing I’d love to ask when to use adjustable zig and when to use fixed zig. Do anybody think it makes a difference? I kind of like the idea of adjustable zig because you can look for fish in different depths but as with everything it is a confidence thing and I’m not sure about zig at all. I’ll try it anyway, it’s just what you people think works better.
Nice video. Always remember if you start to foul hook fish do not use them. I do believe that carp sometimes hold up mid water to get away from angling pressure and from an ethical point of view we should leave them alone and fish traditional tactics.
Quality watch as always tom onto the next adventure tightlines look forward to the next video 👊 🎣 🍒
Excellent advice
All the best for 2025 Tom

Loved this Tom, I have no confidence in zigs but I’m going to give them another go after this video
