I can now see my Samba Server in Windows 10. I have struggled with this for some 3 years and this is the first time I have been told about wsdd. I have been trying to solve the problem from the windows client side with absolutely no success. This is Brilliant! Thank you so much! Why is this such a closely guarded secret? all the other youtube videos don't mention it at all.

hii sir mera issue ye hai ki m abhi ubunutu 23.10 install kiya hu usme mera windows server access nhi kr pa rha hu aur jo old ubuntu h usme access hota hai
windows 10 pc are not visible in the ubuntu 20.04 pc on the same wifi network even when network sharing is enabled in all the devices........windows pc are visible to each other but not in ubuntu...............ubuntu pc is accessible to windows pc using the IP address executed in the run menu (win + R > //[IP address here]).......How to show windows 10 PCs in ubuntu on same wifi????
Sir ek help chahiye.....meri government school ki ict lab m n-computing hai....ubantu o.s hai.....ek desktop m icon and taskbar and menu bar kuch bhi show nhi ho rha h
pls check some points....... 1. Network Discovery should be turned on 2. Enable smbv1 protocol in windows 10 3. Check "File and Printer Sharing" should be allowed in windows firewall

Sir, windows shared network is not seen in Linux mint 20 using samba. How is it possible ? Please help
Linux mint is based on Ubuntu, you can use same method as described in this video

It work, but my linux box not show my windows box, any advice?
pls check some points.......
1. Network Discovery should be turned on

doesnot have a rele file error aa ke aage ka nahi ho raha. sudo apt update me error aa raha hai ye wala
