    Ma'am,is #screaming# gerund or participle?From the previous video of Imposters lecture,you told us to ask #What was/were?#to find out participle.But on this lecture you say it is gerund?May you please explain to me?there can't be auxiliary verbs before non-verbs isn't it?

    Ma'am it was awesome. Thanks. Just one confusion. In exercise section, fourth sentence..'Screaming' has auxiliary verb 'were' then why it's not a verb? Please clear my doubt.

    Ma'am, if u say the cook went to check the stock without using when before, it makes a complete sentence right? Why when comes only, we are reading it along the sentence and not and ?

      Can you rephrase the second part of your question? Not sure I understand it.

      @@TheMindspringsEnglishTeacher actually I had a doubt on this one- I returned home because I was tired .
      My answer is. That this sentence is a complex sentence am I right?
      Could u please tell me the correct way to identify complex sentences

    • @thusharamr9868
      @thusharamr9868 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ma'am for example if the sentence is I came home and I was tired. This is a compound sentence right? Two independent clauses which can stand alone.
      One -I came home.
      Second- I was tired.
      If the sentence is I came home because I was tired. Will it become a complex sentence as the conjunction is because??
      That is my doubt

      Half verbs is just a convenience term. You will need to watch the clause and phrase videos though.
