And as these are oversquare engines with relatively high compression ratio they respond well to high octane fuel and removal of limiter to 6750rpm. Shorter final drive will give you performance on par with the 330 with an engine that revs more freely.
The 5 speed is really holding back the top speed. With another gear the engine would have no problem reaching 250+. Also decreased fuel consumption on the highway are likely. I'm thinking of swapping to a 6 speed when I'm done with taking care of other minor issues.

Ja mám tiež 325i ale s automatom ale spotrebu mám na dialnici tiez okolo 8,5-9, jazdim do prace pol mesto pol dialnica denne 25km tam a späť a priemerku mám 10,5 a to pomaly nejazdím :D. Auto urcite odporúčam, aj ja som sa obával spotreby ale nieje to vobec zlé a za to povozenie a zvuk to stojí.
Čau, zapina se skrz skryté menu. Je tam milion dalších funkcí. Musis drzet to leve tlacitko na nulovani km a potom se do nej dostanes. Tezky takhle popsat. Napis do youtube bmw e46 hidden menu nebo do googlu bmwclub.sk obsah skryteho menu. Tam je to taky dobre popsany :)
