I keep looking out for my father in these photo's. He was a Finnish soldier. I have a book here at home (Australia) about his Division.Their Divisional emblem was the head of a snow cat or leopard. He passed in 2012.

Mainila is a village in Russia near the Finnish border, 1939 the Soviet Union claimed that Finnish artillery fired at Mainila, killing Soviet border guards, which led to the Winter War. Finland had no artillery at this location, only a few riflemen on the border guard.
