Progesterone binds to gaba receptors. Maybe an organic acids neurotransmitter test will show that your gaba levels are already too elevated. Also check cortisol and cortisone 24 hour levels through urine. Also Reverse T3 (thyroid uptake not getting into the cells)

I do HRT but was bleeding bc of testosterone so Dr asked me to take 300 mg of progesterone to stop bleeding but yes it makes tired 24/7 lack of motivation brain fog sane symptoms as you described it. So today I went for my pellet maintenance Dr said only doing testosterone this time bc it my estrogen is pretty high so it’s the reason I’m bleeding & my testosterone is pretty low according to my lab results. He told me me to continue to take progesterone but my bleeding is going to stop soon as it will level up. I’m keeping my fingers cruised as I want to feel me again. Exercise & my active life style!
BTW- Dr I saw today is my new Dr, as of today, other Dr didn’t seem to know what he was doing. I liked this new one as he seems pretty knowledgeable on the field of HRT & Biote 😊

Having same fatigue issues at the 8-9 week mark. I felt pretty solid, good noticeable changes 1st 6 weeks minus weight gain. .My testosterone level at the 6 week mark was above highest end of spectrum but now @ week 9 I am having exact same problems you speak of (can't get anything done) I do tolerate the progesterone well though (I had this done pre-covid and then stopped due to covid). Just curious what your testosterone level at re-check was. I am also taking thyroid meds as part of the program. my T4 actually dropped, so doctor doubled my dose, perhaps that is reason for my fatigue. Grrrr. Pellets are still an improvement in my mood and decreased my depression.

I think you should try food elimination. Start with dairy for a full month. And then slowly add it back in. Then move on to another one such as gluten, processed sugar, etc. Never eliminate several things at once such as Whole 30. You won’t learn anything that way. It’s a long process but I’ve studied this for many years now and done it myself. I think it could really help.

I'm supposed to have lab drawn 6 wks after the injection so I have a while before I go back. If I call the clinic will they adjust my meds or charge me for another lab draw? Katie, you'd possibly know ketoconazole as Nizoral shampoo. I have always had "dandruff" issues and shampoos like Head & Shoulders made it worse rather than better and I have always had super thick, almost to my tailbone, curly hair so I assumed the hair dropping in the shower was "normal" because it was so heavy duty. After Nizoral treatment - I barely drop hair now so when the dropping starts up again - I know it's time for another treatment (I don't do the multiple time a week treatment it suggests until I'm having excessively itchy scalp or lots of hair dropping.) You can actually take magnesium to help cramps, you can take up to four pill at once for cramps. I have to do that a lot because I have leg cramps and cramps all my body so much, sometimes 5 or 6 times I have I'll have them real bad.
I am on a thyroid pill to build the hormones in my system. I am also on birth control pills for the estrogen and to control my periods. I was once having periods so heavy that I had to wear two baby diapers in my panties and still have to lay in the bed all day to keep from gushing and the birth control pills have helped me tremendously. But unfortunately, my gynecologist quit and now I don't have a gynecologist which is a bummer. And the one I had was a really good one, funny, kind, and understanding of my questions and didn't make fun of me.

I would recommend looking up videos on HRT by Dr. Rand who who is expert in the field. The cliffs note version of what I have learned is that female hormones bring on most of the miserable "hormonal" side effects in both men and women. I am on or TRT and have to manage my estrogen levels very closely or I feel miserable. My wife though gets big kick out of it when I start sobbing like a baby in her arms for no reason (yes that is very embarrassing to admit but true) My understanding is that if you are not trying to have children that you basically want to keep your estrogen level as low as possible without brining on side effects with personal lubrication being the obvious one to avoid. Then for the progesterone basically it just needs to be there. Any women with an intact uterus must have a minimal amount of progesterone to warn off uterine cancers but other than that a minimal amount is sufficient. Progesterone seems to be the number one factor in PMS and PMDD symptoms so it is not surprising to me that you don't like taking it. There are some really good online clinics that specialize in "Optimizing" your hormones and not just trying to make them "normal." For example Dr. Rand will tell you that the sweet spot for Free Testosterone in a woman is 4.0 pg/ml and that the only way to achieve that is to push your total Testosterone level into the Supra-physiological range which often people who are not specialist in the field shy away from doing. Just remember being "Normal" is what got you here. It is "normal" for our bodies to quit on us as we age and these doctors that try to create a "more normal" state are just putting a band-aid on a wound. You want to be in an "Optimal" state to really feel good. Anyways I hope you are doing well and wish you all the best!

I have to take DIM SGS+ (Thorn Labs bioTE) to avoid the nasty side effects of estrogen, which in my case was significantly elevated by the testosterone pellets. My doctor said that failing this step is the number one reason women find bHRT disappointing or even intolerable. This particular supplement has a liver detoxifying element incorporated, which is also vital. Hope this helps somebody, it's just important to recognize that even if you aren't taking estrogen it can be elevated when you add testosterone.
PS. Naturally, the female hormones are the bad guys. Lmao.

My wife has been on Anti-depressive since 1991.........TES therapy benifited her alot for 3 months, and then she decided that she might develop a mustache, so she refused tes therapy aferwards. On tes, she was like a teenage version of herself. She had more energy, she was happier, she was very receptive to intercorse. She has been off hormones for 6 months now, she is lethargic and she is not receptive to sex at all, and she is happier. Females of productive age def go through hormonal changes, but I feel like she was def better off in certain phases of the cycle.

I have CFS and have felt like you for 20 years. Got back in school at 47 years old, a year later, now, I'm tired in a way I never knew possible. I had to drop classes and add a year to my completion. My brain has stopped processing new information. Very scary. My doctors still don't want to do any TRT. I started DHEA yesterday against my endocrinologist's advice, she rather keep me with low levels and sick. It is insane the way doctors rather have us die a slow miserable death than help us be well and excel in life. Next step is hormone clinic but I need money for that. Hopefully DHEA helps, will also be adding pregnenolone. Did you have those levels checked before TRT? I second Nizoral, worth try. Minoxidil is great, I lost a lot of hair at the beginning (took several times before I finally had the guts to go through with it, the shedding was so bad) but it finally came back, took a year. Stopped and pretty thin again.

@@curiousj1287 OMG , grrr. I wrote a VERY LONG message and it got deleted. So sorry, it is so scary when the brain function goes and we are way too young for that. It is a sign from the universe that it is time to stop as much as we can and accept where we are and rest!!! Something I really struggled with. I'm just going to laugh and take a moment and get back to you. The short answer is yes I'm feeling better, but I have a long way to go. I had to quit everything and accept my bed. I eat healthier than the majority of people, has always been a passion, yet I am detoxing like crazy, it's pretty insane the amount of toxicity someone like my can carry. Grateful my diet is not an additional issue. I'm using natural but POTENT supplements, herbs and medicinal plants, plus adding a lot more fresh veggies and fruits to my diet. It was very hard on my digestion but all the research is showing that's what makes the gut microbiome happy and the microbiome rules the body. I'm obsessed with research, something I've had to slow way way down but my brain is taking it in again, as long as I don't over do it. More later, I'll share my supplements, where I was and where I'm at :) I'm happy to connect w/people over messenger too, we need to support each other in a positive way, something really missing in our community. I had to leave the forums for many of my diseases because they were so depressing. It is so HARD to see the light. But without it we die.

@katieontheflipside I think a 100 pellet was too low considering your testosterone was at 0. Not sure if he charged you the usual $350 to $375 range but you didn't get the full benefits or your money's worth. My levels were borderline low and my gyn just gave me two pellets yesterday totaling 185 dose. Its only day 5 and I haven't started feeling results yet. Im curious though, you never mentioned libido and sex drive. I'm not sure if that's cause you're still young, or due to privacy reasons but your testosterone was at zero which equals zero sex drive. As a 50 year old, I guess that was one of my concerns but none of your videos even slightly touch on the subject. I hope my dose helps with sleep and drive and weight loss. I just think your dose was too low and adding progesterone didn't help. Any update would be really helpful whether you're still on it or not. Especially about the weight loss and if your hormones are now balanced in general. Thanks Katie.

I work out work have tried low calorie, eating clean etc with only maybe 4 pound loss that I gain right back. I’m out of ideas

Do not use diurex for water loss never do that. Eat way more potassium it will knock it out naturally and just watch sugars and carbs you will be fine . Men like some curve do not worry about weight it is muscle gain . Thats good. Cardio cardio cardio.

Does your physician not do a “boost” for pellets half way through? The more physically active you are, the faster you use up the hormone in the pellet.... some people need an additional dose half way between the 3 month period....
Progesterone really is needed to prevent reproductive organ cancer when using extra hormones....

I'd like to know about the boost too. I feel like my testosterone from the pellets was wearing off by 6 to 7 weeks. I am very athletic. Thanks for sharing this.

I see this is 3 years old, but maybe someone can find this useful. Only take Prometrium (progesterone) at night. I would babe so tired too! Progesterone is the precursor of melatonin, and you know that makes you sleepy! Try just using half dose. It's NOT all in your head! I used to poke a hole in my capsule and squeeze a little on my wrist. That helped at the time. I am over that now, as I can swallow the whole pill and sleep better.

Iamkittykate yes, progesterone makes you tired. Check if you’re on micronized progesterone or progestin (synthetic & not what’s in our bodies). Be well!

If you are taking an oral progesterone tablet you are playing with fire. Most steroidal hormones taken orally like progesterone pills are liver toxic. YOU would be far better doing bio identical progesterone cream as the creams bypasses the liver and you don't get like 3 toxic metabolites of progesterone from taking it orally. Think of it this way.....no endocrine gland ever pumped steroids into a man or a woman's stomach. Progesterone cream is the safest way and you can take smaller doses as well so you aren't as sleepy.

Azúcar Weber your doctor gave you meds that are not in your body. Please look into bio identical hormones. They help w mental health & protect against Alzheimer’s, breast cancer, osteoporosis, and CVD. I obviously don’t know your medical history, but you could use an IUD and bio identical hormones. The progestin in contraceptive pills can be debilitating for some. And, some docs don’t know much about bio identical hormones, so look for a holistic provider & you’ll be back to being in the top of your CrossFit class!

I cant seem to find anyone to get my levels right therefore I'm considering completely stopping pellet therapy. The high doses of testerone has caused extreme anxiety and aggression which is not me at all.Be careful when thinking about Pellet Therapy!!

The injections give you peaks & troughs and are not heart, brain, bone, or breast protective b/c it’s a synthetic form. There are lots of companies making pellets & you have to find a provider who only uses pellets that are third party tested. Be well!

I believe some doctors are satanic this is the reason why they're thirsty for pain and suffering in their patients so be aware this stuff is real.
