She’s an awesome doctor and has inspired me to find a better gynecologist. My current one completely dismissed my complaints of low libido at 42.

Just got my first pellet inserted today and your videos and knowledge give me hope and the confidence to ask for hormone therapy when my obgyn and primary both avoided and discredited this as an option for me. I’m praying to get my athleticism, my body, my brain and my libido back❤ Thank you!

Had mine about three is ago. I was typical in all of the symptoms mentioned. Only Three weeks in symptoms resolved feeling like I did 10 years or more ago. If you have doubts, leave them at the door and just do it. You won’t be sorry!!!!!

Pellets saved my sanity and life! I went through menopause at 41 after shingles shut my body down. I’m 49 now and will never go without. I tried everything and this system is the only one that works.

Although there are a few side effects experienced by some women, lose hair on their head or grow facial/body hair as well as acne on chin and bacne, its trial and error with correct dosing. Restoring muscle mass sounds wonderful, a working metabolism, increasing energy & libido, increased mood, definately worth a shot. Glad this option is available and hopefully becomes more mainstream. I had a total hysterectomy almost 2 years ago and have been experiencing all of the symptoms you mentioned. I just got bloodwork done and my estrogen level was so low the test couldn’t measure it. My testosterone was almost nil. I had pellets put in four weeks ago and so far I am not seeing any change. I am really hoping something starts happening soon!

Hi Doctor you all look Beautiful.
More doctors need to do and recommend testing for this because when I was 54 years old in my period stopped I came down with such a bad case of anxiety it was horrible then I was diagnosed with hypo thyroid I started taking that medication and it seem to help my anxiety but I feel that I need help with my hormones and I’m 60 now and even though I don’t suffer with too much anxiety I have other symptoms like painful intercourse weight gain no sex drive and insomnia and my doctor that treated me for my hypothyroid never recommended this and I told her so many times I can’t sleep doctor I have insomnia and she didn’t not know what to do I have lost at least six years with this treatment that could’ve helped me a lot more. If only more doctors were aware of this type of treatment.
But I’m scared of the pallet and I definitely don’t want to be taking something that can hurt my liver.
What would be your advice for me Dr. Susan?❤️

Hi ! Thank you for all your information, one question what is a good estradiol level when using pellets?

    • @drsusan
      @drsusan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hormone levels are weight based and also based on your starting levels so there’s no correct level for every person.
Everyone is different, but every low starting dose for a slim woman with zero estrogen would be 6 mg (that’s what I take) while a larger woman might need 10 mg or occasionally even more.
6 mg and 10 mg are the most common doses in our practice I rarely dose higher than that

Dr.Susan my second round of pellets I changed from my gynecologist to nurse practitioner that does biote. My first round had progesterone pellet in with testosterone and estrogen. I felt good . But when I went to np she said my estrogen was to high at 207 at 4 wk bloodwork . So all she done was testosterone. Testosterone was at 50. She gave me 125 . And biote doesn’t do progesterone. I’m having anxiety a lot. What could be happening?

Thank you so much for sharing. I just got my first testosterone injection. My gyno said to see how I do for six weeks and talked about if I can handle then try pellet with testosterone. I'm very nervous and sensitive.
Had full hysterectomy and very bad fatigue.
This is all new and honestly, a lil scary . I'm 49.
I am nervous to do the pellet because of anxiety. I have no anxiety but the research I did about the pellets....I saw anxiety as a effect.
      Please keep me posted.

I just started last week and am soooo impatient and hoping to feel better. I've heard, however, that it can take up to a year to optimize hormone levels. There are a lot of things involved, one hormone affecting the other hormones, and hormones have receptors throughout your body which may have become atrophied due to not having the hormones in your system to "receive". Follow up, now that it's been over 5 months?
