@@nono9543 Yeah Texas Chainsaw has the weirdest continuity of any horror film series. Every sequel after 2 is an alternate sequel to 1 that ignores 2 since Tobe Hooper killed off the Sawyers at the end of 2 but other filmmakers wanted to make more.
I love that ending. That was my exact reaction when I saw Resurrection.
I could never get into this franchise, so thanks a lot for spelling out this extremely confusing time line. I would've never been able to figure it out on my own. Fantastic work as always.

4:15 frankly given how inhuman Michel is I actually like the idea of a supernatural element in Halloween its hard to stay grounded when your main villain was had both eyes shot out and burned alive in a massive explosion only to survive all that in 2 continuity's so introducing supernatural elements isn't bad on principle

To anyone who noticed this was reuploaded, it's because an editing issue around 2:24 caused the narration to go mute for a few seconds.
Though now that the audio is present, that sentence is all kinds of messed up. The way it's structured makes it sound as if Jamie Lee Curtis died in a car crash and the character of Jamie was named after her in respect, which is not true and what is actually the case is that Laurie, who is the character Jamie Lee Curtis played, is stated to have died in a car crash in the context of the film's continuity. This sentence is yet another problem that could be solved respectably IF ANNOTATIONS STILL EXISTED DAMN IT TH-cam.
You know what would've made the most sense? I know in H4 Laurie is supposedly dead in a car accident BUT if in the end of part 5 when Michael is trying to kill Jamie, Laurie pops out of nowhere and reveals still alive and saves Jamie. Then they'd have a more correct line to have part 6 and 7 and so on...
I can't wait for the updated version that will be release, after the next two movies.

The diverge point is after Michael gets shot.
Timeline 1: Michael puts a band aid over his gunshot and goes straight back to killing Laurie, it just gets dumber after that.
Timeline 2: Michael pussys out of killing Laurie for 20 years then does it and gets beat up by Busta' Rhymes.
Timeline 3: Michael gets incarcerated for 40 years then escapes and goes after doomsday prepper Laurie

Eh, I admit that Halloween 6 is a mess in many ways, but I've always found H20(dumb title by the way) to be highly overrated. I never liked it anywhere near as much as the first five films in the series.(Halloween 3 included) Maybe it was the absence of Donald Pleasence, or the fact that half the movie is just Michael falling for dumb traps and getting his ass kicked by a middle aged Jamie Lee Curtis, or that the pacing is too darn slow. Likely all of the above. Resurrection I agree was all kinds of stupid. About the only positive thing I can say about it is that it did feature arguably the best jump scare in the entire series. The part where Michael just bursts through the mirror and grabs that one guy and pulls him into the wall legit made me jump the first time I saw it. The new Halloween movie just looks like a remake of H20, so honestly I'm not all that excited for it. Laurie will probably administer another unintentionally hilarious beat down on Myers.(probably even more hilarious because of how elderly Jamie Lee Curtis is now) Though really it's better that it be Laurie than that mouthy jackass hack Busta Rhymes. As for the Rob Zombie Halloweens? I just don't get those movies at all. They are bizarre and at the end of the day, both come off as self insert fanfictions with Michael looking quite a bit like the director. So yeah, at the end of the day Halloween 1 through 5 are the zenith of the series for me personally. The films after that are just varying levels of meh. But that's just my opinion.

Strangely enough there's actually a comic that bridges the Halloween 6 timeline and h20 timeline together it’s really weird though and I’m pretty sure it retcons a bunch of stuff.
It would also make Laurie a total monster for abandoning her daughter.

It's one of those things that does make sense, as it explains why Michael targets her specifically, but that makes the concept less scary, since it gives him a solid motive and removes the idea of a psycho going after random people. It goes from "a random nutter can come after you" to "your insane long-lost brother can come after you."
Retcons are never canon. All timelines exist and happen forever.

actually, I have three things i need to say about doing the x-men timeline:
1. the two deadpool films are apart of the fox x-men franchise, so there apart of the x-men timeline too, although i'm pretty sure they take place the year they came out, deadpool in 2016, and deadpool 2 in 2018.
2. you might want to wait to do this video until dark phoenix is out on dvd/blu-ray to have scenes from dark phoenix in the video, so yeah.
3. the fox x-men films have a lot of continuity errors, mainly cause of the different directors and fox just wanting to make money, but i don't think that will be a problem for you, at least, i hope it won't be.
actually, ya know what, I'd recommend waiting till disney reboots the x-men into the MCU, when the fox x-men will end completely, which will probably be in the mid or late 2020s.

What I feel they need to do is finish off this with a third installment where Michael Myers DIES. And I mean literally 100%, no bullshit, no future resurrection, magic, voodoo or science crap, stone cold dead. Laurie kills him and possibly dies herself, finishing off this current timeline once and for all. If they want to use Michael in the future I hope they do another reboot of sorts which I know isn't that popular of an idea... but let's be honest here. Isn't it better to just have them finish off this timeline with one last movie and if they ever intend on going back they do something new instead of making a 4th, 5th etc. just like in the past?
If anything it'd be awesome to see a reboot universe starring Jason, Michael and Freddy (possibly even more baddies). Kinda like the "Dark Universe" thing but with slasher icons. How it would work I have no idea, but if any future reboots will ever come along I'd like them to at least do a shared universe.
I could imagine a character appearing across all the reboot films and surviving the slashers, getting more and more adept at dealing with them over time, and eventually rounding them all up in a crossover to get them to kill each other off.

Where u are "ryan cooper" general theory from the fans that u are ryan during these games, even through confirmed that carbon and most wanted are connected. But since the games fore mentioned were developed by blackbox. Since then they have hints and easter eggs connecting back to "ryan cooper".

I made a bet with myself over whether or not Dead by Daylight would be mentioned anywhere else in the video if at all. I guess I won. I know it's not canon but I was half expecting a "Well Laurie's appearance suggests she was taken from this film and she and Michael presumably escaped their torment along with the other killers and survivors not native to the game.
