    I'm really excited for how Elden Ring's story is gonna "feel" differently from Dark Souls & From's other games. They've mentioned that the lore formula will mostly stay the same, but the story will also be easier to follow w/ characters & NPCs playing a more active role. Which could be a really interesting change in the overall Soulsborne storytelling format! They also said that they want the main bosses to have this noble edge to them even tho they're corrupted, which is odd because a lot of From's existing bosses are already like that? So maybe ER's are even more sympathetic/characterized???

    Sekiro is WAY harder than the DS games- depending how good your reactions are. You dont really have lots of options like in DS- its all about super fast combat and parries, so if thats a type of combat you cant do or dont like then the game wont land well with you. TBH its NOT my type of combat- and i barely managed to beat it with a lot of difficulty- so i didnt enjoy it as much as DS- but its still a great game. A person who is more combat experience focused and good at parrying might well love it more than DS.
    The environments, monsters etc are all as great as always.
    Bloodborne is maybe their best work- but with the rumors of a 60fps remaster I'd wait to see if that happens.

      Fromsoftware should be very trustworthy. They have multiple successful games. All of them just show pure consistency and respect towards players in terms of the quality they release.
      I generally don't agree with preordering, but honestly if I were to preorder one it would be a fromsoftware game. If they don't finish they will delay(which they did). They won't show trailers or hints about the game until they feel like they are ready.
      I have been waiting for years to get news about their new Elden ring installment. I knew George R R martin was on the project and was sooo hyped. The whole game world seemed super nice. It took so long till they announced anything.
      That to me just shows they are very serious about respecting the players. When they release the game, it will respect their high standards of quality. Ofc nothing is certain, but I'm sure they've done enough to deserve our trust.

    if cyberpunk has taught us anything, it's that you can show all the incredible gameplay and cinematic footage in the world and the game can still turn out a massive disappointment.

    • @lawmanlawman2210
      @lawmanlawman2210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The thing is, Elden Ring is a Fromsoftware game, and if there is one thing Fromsoft is known for, it's their ability to consistently put out extremely well made, quality-over -quantity games; even their worst game, DSII, is still a very fun game when compared to most other games out there. And don't forget, they've been working on this game since the release of the Ringed City DLC, which was almost 5 years ago, so they've had a lot of time for this one. While I'll admit there is a chance the game is just another Cyberpunk, the fact that Fromsoft is the one making it makes those chances incredibly low compared to almost any other developer, so I don't think you have to worry about that at all. (Sorry for the long comment)

    • @spoon1555
      @spoon1555 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@lawmanlawman2210 This argument REALLY doesn't work. CDPR were well known for putting out extremely well made, quality over quantity games - the Witcher 1 was pretty good, the Witcher 2 is arguably one of the best sleeper RPG's of all time and features branching narratives most modern RPG's can't hold up to and the Witcher 3 is basically inarguably one of the best games of all time. And, to ape something from your comment. "Even their worst game, Cyberpunk, is still a very fun game when compared to most other games out there." - Regardless of it's glitchy nature, it's objectively revolutionary in terms of graphics and animation, it is a literal masterpiece on both those fronts when compared with pretty much anything of it's size. The only thing that comes close is Hellblade, which was both much smaller and used entirely facial motion capture whereas Cyberpunk used software for a lot of it's facial animations. I think you DEFINITELY have to worry about this - especially given it's a cross gen title. Remember Dragon age Inquisition on the PS3? or Black Ops 3 on Xbox 360? Cross generational titles almost ALWAYS have some issues. This is also a relatively new genre for them, as it lacks the linearity of their former titles. So, honestly, I wouldn't pre order - unless you can get a special edition, in which case you're pre ordering for the exclusive items over the game. While there might not be any issues, there also definitely might be.

Elden Ring in the other hand is letting people play in their homes in their own old consoles, they just started pre-order order now after showing 20 minutes of gameplay and 4 months before realese and soon a lot of people will be playing for the server test, I was in doubt if Fromsoft could do a good open world too, but after seeing the gameplay i know that at least the world looks filled with enemies and that's the only thing I needed to buy the game everything else for me it's just a bonus.
