In Australia we call these razor fish no idea why there called fish but we have them all thru our lakes there a real pest as no many like the taste of them plus there like razors when standing on
you know that from indonesia very to much and we called (kijing)but smaller and that food tradisional for us .....that good but if you cant cooking dont try cus smell its very hard....😊😊😊

Beautiful, lots of work, much talent, but I could not eat it. Not a super picky eater, but this is still raw seafood. There are tons of sushi places where I live, and more power to you if you love it. I just cannot get it down. I'd put it in a to-go box and take it home to fry it. I realize I'm in the minority.

しかし大分って温泉が沢山あって、ちょっと思い出すだけで、関サバ関アジ、フグ、から揚げ、豊後牛、カボス・・そし今回のタイラギ貝と、凄いところだな~
昭和の時代は寿司屋のネタは此れが主流でした。今は安価なホタテに首位の座を明け渡したw
現在でも老舗はタイラギを使ってる処が多いですね。
