I saw him in the 70`s he played a festival my dad was producing. There were over 200,000 people there. Oakland Stadiun. He had a different band. I never thought he would go on to be such a legend. Clean living and good genes. He plays every bit as good now as he did then.
I think his genius is from the musical generator in his heart ❣ which converts emotional greatness through the fender strat which is an emotional instrument
When I was 19 Y,O., a friend of my fathers took me to go do my drivers license test....around 1992. This person was playing a cassette tape of Robin Trowers and asked me if I'd ever heard of him. I hadn't, although I was raised on my 2 sister's record collections of Zeppelin and 70 and 80's Rock and Roll....I just never came across Robin. I was also a young guitar player, started at age 15; so you would think I would of immediately fallen in love with Robin's music. Well, the friend driving me around gave me the cassette that he was listening to that day after I passed my drivers test. I still didn't get into the music. The cassette was filed away until my early Thirties I remembered that tape and went back to Robin's music ..... I think I had matured quite a bit and immediately fell in love with his sound! Not sure why it took so long....But I will always enjoy listening to Robin Trower! I've even covered a few of his songs on guitar here and there :) ....And YES, Robin needs to be inducted into the RRHF. There's a special quality to his music, it is original to his own voice, it has lasted and here Robin is, in his mid 70s still sounding exactly as fresh as he always has if not better....so refined and satisfying.
God, I love Robin Trower. Seen him in concert multiple times… those young bucks he’s playing with clearly appreciate- and enjoy playing with the legend!! Smokin’…
I saw him in Charleston SC in 86 and hung out with him and he was the nicest guy ever . He sat with us in the parking lot and just talked and told stories about his past . He played with a wall of Fender twins and it was the best guitar tone I ever heard .
Rockin' Robin still rolling, great to see. Trower's guitar work with Procol Harum was second to none, an under appreciated and over looked living legend.
I saw Robin last night at The Sage and he was mind-blowing. I've followed him for 40 years(since Bridge Of Sights) but this is the first time I have seen him. His playing was so fresh and inspirational. He is still inspired by music and it shows. The only time I have heard such a massive guitar sound like his(which does not come across on TV,CD etc) was Jeff Beck. Both monsters. I normally listen to jazz and jazz/funk but I had forgotten how great rock music can be.
I saw him 10/11 in Indy, Absolutely mesmerizing. I've been following him since the 70's I'm a big fan of guitar rock. Joe Walsh used to play at my high school dances when he was with the James Gang. I've see Richie Blackmore, Johnnie Winter, I've seen then all (Well, not Clapton or Hendrix), this guy is the best I've ever seen. He's a magician.
I was lucky enough to see him in October and man Robin is like wine he just gets better with age. The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame should be called the Hall of Shame for not inducting Trower.
Robin Trower still laying it down, been a Trower fan since my older brother turned me onto his music back in the 70's. Yes missing James Dewar's voice, my he RIP. Thanks for posting this video... Rock on Trower fans!!!
Saw him live mid 70's with Dewar and Lordan; and here, once again, excellence manifested. Our world benefits from this Man's continuing passion for his gift(s.) Thank you Mr. Trower. Charles from Mesa, AZ. ♥
Attended this show. Spent much of the time smoking weed back stage with the promoters. After he came off stage I got to shake his hand and of course, I got to tell him something forgettable about how great he is. Don't let age fool you, when he shook my hand, I felt he was capable of crushing it, but, of course, he is way too nice for that. This guy is a one of a kind gem.
I've appreciated Trower since I was a teenager back in the 70's and always thought it was terribly unfair that everyone claims that he just ripped off Hendrix's bag. Every musician derives inspiration from somewhere and although he may have been most influenced by Hendrix way back in the day, Robin's music is classic and still stands the test of time 40 years later! Still when I listen to Bridge Of Sighs it's hard to find a more complete album. Not a weak song on the whole album! Glad that we still have this living treasure!
Saw him in Cleveland in October at the House of Blues. Had a smile from ear to ear for nearly two hours. He is absolutely incredible. Can cross that off my bucket list.
saw him once and only once but once was enuff!!! OMG...el paso tx....Ascarate Park by the lake back in I believe 1990..me n Tony T ...WUT UH SHOW....got to go back to the trailer Robin and the band were in and actually shook Robin's hand !!!...don't mind seyin now but I used my 'fake' press pass...lol..he was cool bout it...off the record..spydr11*
It's good to see a lot of Rock Greats hitting the road . Even at their current ages with the Rock Drought we are enduring . They are more than welcome .
Was there for this epic performance. Let me compliment BB Kings. The acoustics were wonderful. The whole performance was sonic bliss. Trower seems to be at his peek!
It's a gift for we all Robin ethernal fans to have him alive and kicking, Holly God , he is the greatest guitar player and composer...lets make a deal, we do offer You putin and López Obrador instead but, keep Robin Trower with us...
Robin Trower rocked my world at the age of 15. I heard Day of the Eagle on New York's WPLJ (the Carol Miller show) and I was floored. I first heard Hendrix when I was 9, Trower and Hendrix were my 2 guitar gods. I like all kinds of music except country (when I hear it I get nausea) and most rap (for the exception of RATM and The Beastie Boys since they have a lot of metal influences). RIP James Dewar (the man had such a rich voice),
IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUTH , 48 YEARS waiting to see him live in concert this coming September...pray God to keep Robin doing what he enjoy the most , and Even better than ever....please God as we agreed, You can take anyone You want, lets Say Putin, Thrump, , Tesla and as a bonus López Obrador and Messi instead.
The amazing Robin Trower! Now "this" is someone with an amazing Strat sound. When I see some of these other people try to get awesome tone from a Strat, I absolutely have to laugh my head off. They have got to be kidding. All I hear of them is this whiny thin sound. Also, what is annoying is that you can hear all the "chatter" as Mr Trower is pouring out his heart and soul. If you came to see Trower play-keep your trap shut already! I know it's a club with a "bar" but have some respect!
Right on with keeping your trap shut ! While you’re at it- turn off yer damn cell phone!! Unless you’re surreptitiously filming this to put on TH-cam, as this was… Hopefully, you blacked out the screen, so you’re not effing the people behind you…
Wow! I think that's the first time I ever saw Trower himself sing. (I've never seen him live, just on DVD.) I often worry someday he's going to sprain his face. The new singer/bass player does justice to the songs originally sung by Dewar, as perfect a fit as you could ask for.
You listen to Bridge of Sighs among many others, and this guy is as good as it gets...Period! To think of this man not being in the RNR Hall Of Fame is just ridiculousness! Shame on you judges of nothing!
yourtubesteak I have to agree it really,REALLY sounds like Dewar and he was so unique.Davey Pattison is awesome in his own right too,but in the Dewar days it was so beautifully spacey and soulful in such a great way....
The only human who can do justice
to every note played in his guitar !
Robin Trower has an unmistakable guitar tone. One of the biggest and least recognized rock and roll.
I saw him in the 70`s he played a festival my dad was producing. There were over 200,000 people there. Oakland Stadiun. He had a different band. I never thought he would go on to be such a legend. Clean living and good genes. He plays every bit as good now as he did then.
Have been listening to RT for 40 yrs...and never get enough!
Ditto!
England has given the World many musical treasures, and Robin Trower is one of the GREATS!
I think his genius is from the musical generator in his heart ❣ which converts emotional greatness through the fender strat which is an emotional instrument

A youthful singer with traditional 60's blues / rock .... Trower is so Unique . ✨✨✨🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎸☮️🏄♂️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
God, I love Robin Trower. Seen him in concert multiple times… those young bucks he’s playing with clearly appreciate- and enjoy playing with the legend!! Smokin’…

he is brilliant and so underrated, i think
The body ages, but Robin, still plays guitar so youthful. Great music, forever. Robin Trower.
Robin is old now but you can't take anything away from him. He gives it up every time he plays. I wish I could reach that point. Love him.
that's right Joy!!
I love Robin Trower no matter what. He is incredible.
Super Legend!!! Great Guitar!!! Love!!
I could listen to this gifted and beautiful guitarist for years . .oh hold on . .I have been !!
You make my heart and soul so happy
Rockin' Robin still rolling, great to see. Trower's guitar work with Procol Harum was second to none, an under appreciated and over looked living legend.

Saw him live in Oakland, California in 1990! Blew the roof off! He wore a white tee shirt and blue genes!
I've always Robin Trower, I believe he is an underrated guitarist! I loved his playing since the Procol Harum days!! God bless him!
Im fanatic strat sound and in my opinión this Man has one of the most better guitar sound on the rock history 😍
What a great musician is Robin Trower! The tone machine!
Few artists would take me home today to attend a concert. Robin Trower is one of them.
Spellbound...luved it. Can't believe people can be so rude talking over Robin as he plays.
Robin was always fabulous, his time with Procol Harum 67/71 was absolutely incredible. In those years he also took the guitar to another place.
I was lucky enough to see him in October and man Robin is like wine he just gets better with age. The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame should be called the Hall of Shame for not inducting Trower.
How right you are. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Those last five minutes of Daydream are Oh So Fine! Fine blues guitar
This music and guitar playing comes from the soul,,,i saw him last night where i live,,i knew that i was seeing and hearing a legend !!!
Robin Trower still laying it down, been a Trower fan since my older brother turned me onto his music back in the 70's. Yes missing James Dewar's voice, my he RIP. Thanks for posting this video... Rock on Trower fans!!!

This is why Robin trower has always been dam good.
70 next month, and it's all still there isn't it? Brilliant.
Attended this show. Spent much of the time smoking weed back stage with the promoters. Vaughn Graham Did you get his autograph, I did !!!
I've appreciated Trower since I was a teenager back in the 70's and always thought it was terribly unfair that everyone claims that he just ripped off Hendrix's bag. +Bob Sanchez Bob I agree completely - I also caught him live as a teenager back in the 70's
They're ALL similar & ALL good! Robin, Jimi, Stevie Ray & Mahogany Rush.
We're damn lucky to have 'em!!!
Bob Sanchez I agree but he has never played a Hendrix song
Saw him in Cleveland in October at the House of Blues. Had a smile from ear to ear for nearly two hours. He is absolutely incredible. Can cross that off my bucket list.
Love this guy! He has his own tone and style, and always has!
His guitar playing is like a spell that makes me sleepy... not out of boredom but because it's strangely relaxing
My first at seeing him sing. Followed since the 70’s. Awesome
EXCELLENT!!!! Have LOVED this guy since when I saw him in the mid seventies!!!!
The singing and alongside with the vocals really made a boom solid piece of music. Superb and quality sound memorable hey days
killer....somebody's calling is such a GREAT song!!
Pure soul and spirit! Robin Trower is inspirational squared!
And #5 is Lady LOVE!
How memorizing, truly a great guitarist of the time of growing up in the 70's.
Robin Trower is the most Groovy blues man you can get, this sounds like Disco Blues, so awesome
What great tone!!! Like a great wine he just keeps getting better. Great to hear Robin singing too. Thanks a lot for sharing!
saw him once and only once but once was enuff!!! One of the BEST guitar players, ever! Just heard him on the Blues Deluxe radio show!
It's good to see a lot of Rock Greats hitting the road . Even at their current ages with the Rock Drought we are enduring . They are more than welcome .
Brilliant..The new album is one of the best he's ever recorded IMO.
When someone has his own voice and message on the guitar that sets him apart from the crowd.Robin is unique.
Awesome tone from Robin Trower.
Was there for this epic performance. Let me compliment BB Kings. The acoustics were wonderful. The whole performance was sonic bliss. Trower seems to be at his peek!
Your music is so soulful It’s beautiful ❤
...a universe of blues
One of a kind!
Robin is so lucky I wasn't there that night. I definitely would've got a piece of him cuz he's just so damn good!
This is the blues.
Seen him live many times but have never seen him sing. He should do it more often.
I was at this show ( pretty much every BB King’s show!) and it was amazing!
Cherish this guitar god while he's still around, until the time he crosses the "Bridge Of Sighs" on the "Day Of The Eagel" rock on Robin🤘🏻

I was in the audience for this! Great show!
thank you - excellent footage!!!! I was there too!!!
Robin Trower always puts so much soul into every note. Btw the drummer was having a religious experience during Spellbound!
You mean Daydream
Superb guitarist, with hints of Jimi Hendrix. Still playing at 77.
THAT ROCKS!!!
Still as great as ever.
It's a gift for we all Robin ethernal fans to have him alive and kicking, Holly God , he is the greatest guitar player and composer...lets make a deal, we do offer You putin and López Obrador instead but, keep Robin Trower with us...
Very cool guitarist . 69 years!!!

I saw Uriah Heep there twice and saw Robin in Melbourne Fla at a bar called The Zone..
thanks for sharing this
beautiful track 'Wish you were mine' playing at the start
thank you for the video i love it!!!
Can anybody say rock and blues legend h❤️❤️❤️
He's like red wine .
You listen to Bridge of Sighs among many others, and this guy is as good as it gets...Period! To think of this man not being in the RNR Hall Of Fame is just ridiculousness! Shame on you judges of nothing!
Young guitar players, take a lesson here!
If he'd play Jack and Jill... I would take note and learn his songs..
Lovely, quite sound
Master of the Stratocaster.
Vocals eerily sound very close to James Dewar. Robin sounds as good as ever. That same distinct tone.
redgrapeskinsAgreed, but this guy is in the ballpark.
yourtubesteak I have to agree it really,REALLY sounds like Dewar and he was so unique.Davey Pattison is awesome in his own right too,but in the Dewar days it was so beautifully spacey and soulful in such a great way....
Sometimes I wonder if bands get a little help ^
finding a replacement ... from SOMEONE UP THERE!!!
