Thanks Mike. Another fantastic video. The color coding makes it so much easier to understand the flow of the circuit and how everything works together to light off the boiler.
Keep them coming I know one thing I need this I’m a plumber my company threw me into servicing boilers and water heaters most are comercial in NYC so I appreciate this big time
Great video Mike. On a new steam boiler it went through the whole sequence up to the eletronic ingitoin would spark but wouldnt fire up. What would cause it not to fire up?
@rcmechanialgroup2856 Yeah I would check for 24v at PV during spark. If you have it there it could be the solenoid in the gas valve, but its likely the module. I have come across a few new ones that needed replacement before on Weil MClain.
@@rcmechanialgroup2856 You should only read 24volts there when the ignitor is clicking. If you do, the module is good. You then want to check if you're getting 24v to PV at the gas valve, which you should unless there is a bad wire connection. If you have 24v on PV when the ignitor is clicking, then you either have no gas or the gas valve pilot solenod isn't working.
These videos will help many HVAC Techs for years to come thank you for your knowledge and time to educate us technicians 💪🏾🔥
Glad to help

You know I’m in the oil business over 37 years. And this by far is THE BEST refresher for someone that rarely works on gas. Thank you Mike.
Much respect to you. Thank you.
@@JerseyMikeHVAC And to you Sir. Very much appreciated.

Excellent breakdown. It helped me understand the integration of the safety circuit and diagnosis my problem.
I love your videos your doing a great job
Just perfect, Ty Mike!
Awesome videos Mike, thank you so much 🙏.
Diagnostic videos great
The best. Thanks
Thanks Mike fantastic video
Thanks 👍
Great video, can you do a 67 low water cutoff with a 101 water feeder? 24volts
👍👍👍

Getting voltage at the gas valve? Would also check gas pressure.
@@JerseyMikeHVAC Going there tomorrow. Should I test the 24V at iginition control board?

Thanks! So if I do read 24V at PV on board it’s the board?
