Edit: Damage stacking is possible against minibosses in Advent, if you are really close to the miniboss, and use the Sonic Boom combo, the saber and Sonic Boom will hit the boss at the same time. You can also do this against Queenbee’s hive with the Tornadoes and the Air Slash.

This is mostly a good write up, but it bugs me you keep calling it "Model H" across its incarnation in both games, even though they have differences. In ZX, it's Model HX for a reason. Biometal H is fragmented into two parts, and it only works for Vent/Aile when melded with X. It looks different, and the merging with Model X gives it powers it doesn't otherwise have. In Advent, it's fine to call it Model H, but it is a substantially different character, they even look different.
@@bunnyofepicnessI called both of them Model H so I could have a easier time when recording the voiceovers, and as a way to refer to both of them. I can see how that would be weird though.

I'm at the start and I want to clarify two things: Model Hx is overpowered, but the individual Model H got rebalanced in ZXA to be much less powerful.
For ZXA, there's two things that happened:
- The tornado got massively nerfed for both versions of it, it no longer does half a bar of HP in damage neutrally. Or at least, not easily.
- The combo system got removed in ZXA, or at the very least functions massively differently, so you can no longer chain high damaging moves together to reduce boss HP in seconds with Model H.
ZXA also has the titular Model ZX buffed to absurd degrees. The affectionately named "pizzacut" tears apart HP bars and completely overshadowed what Model H could do.
I mean ZX is the "last" one you get basically.
In ZXA the nemy boss forms are way more overpowered than the models like chronostasis whale because it freezes time and has an insanely small hurtbox allowing you to just sit through some boss attacks and freezing time is overpowered.

like, they are so clunky and situational that most of the time they are just puzzle pieces
in most situation you would be better off using any Model for the mobility it offers

For Model Hx? Probably, but it's also likely a combination of factors, because Harpuia summons a tornado in Z1(albeit not to do damage) as can be seen in this video at 31 seconds in:

@@aliesterus1.023They're actually direct references to X's Special Weapons, which makes sense since you're essentially using Model X all throughout MMZX, as it allows you to assimilate the other biometals just like X would when defeating a boss.
Hx Tornado = Charged Storm Tornado
Lx Ice Sled = Charged Shotgun Ice
Fx Ground Flame = Charged Fire Wave
Px Barrier = Charged Rolling Shield
(Hx also has a purple Lightning Orb that is similar to Electric Spark. It doesn't work the same way but but uses the same element)
It's interesting to note that in ZXA, you can still perform damage stacking, but only on specific enemies
For some reason, if an enemy is electrocuted, any slash attacks will damage stack with themselves.
But to be fair, I've only found this useful against queen bee so far
There was so much missed potential in these models. Each should have had their own triple combo. Model H should have had its triple combo all be one button so we didn't have to awkwardly switch buttons, and then have another move be the other button.

Bless the algorithm for showing me this video, I was playing ZX seriously for the first time and I didn't know about damage stacking, I'll definitely use it in the future, by the way, I'd recommend you give a look to Copen's gameplay from the Azure Striker Gunvolt series since it's also inspired by Megaman Zero and made by Inti Creates, it seems to be a replication if not an improvement over Model Hx's mobility, that being said, you've earned yourself a new sub!
I'd love to see a video on Model L. It's by far my favorite model in the games it shows up in, and quite fun even outside of the water.
I’ll do it eventually, right after Model P. The order I’m doing the guardian models in is based off a poll I made with the Model ZX video, so I’ll do Model P next, then Model L.

I remember when playing Megaman Zx it is one of my used Model. It is OP combined with the fact on how easy it is to get used and master the Model, it is a no brainer. Nowadays though I rarely use the Model anymore since I tend to enjoy using Model Zx and Px more.

ZXs tornado is basically the win button, very useful for hard mode
If you want another complexity... Model HX/H can use charge attacks without using ANY energy. You air slash, and then within the span of like 3 frames, release the charge attack, and if done correctly, you do your charge without using energy.

In my first Playthrough of ZX I can definitely say that Model HX was my most used, it has got to be my most favorite due to how much inaccessible areas become available for exploration, I didn’t use it much for bosses since I was on Normal Mode the first time but I might fall back on it for the Hard Mode Playthrough I’m currently doing. If I could become one model irl it would be HX I always wanted to fly and that model makes me feel like I can do anything and get almost anywhere.
I used Px the most as it made running easier. Lx was my least used.

2:01 also you can air dash twice if you jump normally.
I just.. use Rospark to climb the elevator section of the Control Center ._.
Just a side note: air slash can also be done while air dashing upwards.
I think it's good to have an overpowered Model in this game - the same as I appreciate Metal Man's Metal Blade.
I didn't really appreciate Metal Blade in MM2 until I realized on the internet how powerful it actually was.
However, in ZX, I realized immediately that I was playing as Model H far more often than other models like Fx or Px.
It wasn't until I felt free to experiment that I realized that Fx and Px could be overpowered too if you develop skills to use them.
Overall, this game was very difficult, but once you understand how to properly use Biometals, it gets easier.
I DID NOT APPRECIATE the biometal damage and I definitely liked Advent's ditching of the damage system.

It terms of bosses overall, Model OX is definitely better (except against Fire Bosses) But Model H is better in terms of how much you use it in the game overall, which is almost all of it.
Not saying Model OX is bad, not at all, but in terms of the stages, bosses, and overall game, Model H is used more.
I agree that Model O is an absolute monster in Mega Man ZX though, no wonder it’s unusable until you beat the game.

I don’t know if Capcom would ever do it, but I think it’d be cool if they did like a prequel to Megaman Zero or give us a game where we can play as the different guardians including X
I use model h for mobilaty in zx and for the model f missions and for the weakpoint also using the tornado for omega
doesnt sonic boom trigger damage stacking when the projectile and the saber are in the same space? used it to great effect against albert phase 1 in zxa
Yeah, I just tested it, it’s possible. You can also do it against Queenbee with the Tornadoes with Air Slash, but only against the hive.
Model H's water area weakness is a lot less because of Queen Bee and Chronoforce, Bee can still fly in water just fine and Chronoforce can slow everything, and you still have Model L to use as well, so it does feel like despite the nerf it takes you also feel what is arguably Model H's main weakness a lot less.

Model H its Awesome specially when we talk about Plataforming and Delete enemies Out of existance its REALLY GOOD and with moves really broken like the hurricane and overdrive im no surprised that get nerfed in Advent its a really powerful Combo maker but i dont think that the other models are overshadowed a lot scince Model H have its lows cuz other models can do other jobs better than model H Even with hurricane and overdrive i cant wait to see my beloved Model L my favorite For Reversals

also h is just a sniper. like you can snipe stuff into oblivion, if you know how to predict movement it's really good

Last time I checked, Hx moves and damage were
Light slash 6/3
Heavy slash 7/3
Sonic Boom slash 8/4
Sonic Boom projectile 6/3
Air slash 7/3
Dash slash 8/4
Energy ball 6/3
And tornado 2 damage per hit
That being said, how'd you get the damage values? Personally, I couldn't find them on the web, so what I did was use each move on a fire boss in game (with overdrive on), see how many health points it took and then cut it in half. I may have made a mistake, of course

The model H in ZX looks cooler and more imposing than in ZXA.
Which game is better, ZX or ZXA
both are really good, but ZX is better personally.
Personally I've never seen Model H as overpowered. It can slice through certain bosses and minibosses very quickly and as such is something of a speedrunning meta, but in regards to actually making fights easier, you can demolish enemies with Models ZX, X, and especially Ox just fine. ZX is particularly noteworthy because it's not only the only one of the three that doesn't require you to beat the final boss to keep permanently, and you get it very early on into the game. It's actually quite easy to win every fight using only ZX.
Yeah definitely, in Mega Man ZX, Model H can very easily sweep the bosses it’s good against, it doesn’t mean the others are bad, but Model H can kill most bosses faster than Model X and ZX can. Again, it doesn’t mean the other models are bad at killing bosses at all, and those models are better overall against bosses, as they don’t have the weakness against Ice bosses Model H does. I still see it as pretty powerful though, mostly because as with Model ZX, you can get it pretty early. That definitely got me thinking though, thanks for the comment!

Overpowered carries the connotation of trivializing fights, but in the case of Model H in comparison to ZX for example, it doesn't make most fights easier, you just win certain ones faster.
Yeah, good point. The bosses don’t become an instant win, you still have to be good at the game and dodge their attacks. And while the term overpowered can be associated with easiness, something can still be overpowered and not easy to use and master. But yeah, Model H just makes those fights it’s good against go faster, as you still have to be good at the game for them to be easy. I think Fire bosses could be arguable as being easier, but you still have to be good at the game in general, and know when to use Model H and the Overdrive to kill those bosses faster. iirc, Blazin Flizard’s tail makes it to where you can get hit if you do the Air Slash to stun him, then Dash Slash to pass through him. So if you time your attacks wrong, or use the wrong ones, you’ll get hit by the tail. But yeah, you have a good point, Model H generally makes the fights go faster, and it doesn’t mean they’re easier.
Harpuia is the best character in Megaman Zero/ZX series
i'll be honest, reversals are not as good as they seem. yes they can kill most enemies. but most of the time their are better options. especally with HX's reversal hit boxes being very tiny
you can also damage stack the 3rd hit of H and HX's 3 hit combo with the sonic boom just be directly beside the mini boss

HX, sure... but H (Aeolus) being overpowered? Sorry, gonna have to convince me on the latter. To me, Aeolus A-Trans took a step back in comparison to HX.
Plus, in ZXA, there IS a drawback for weakness targeting, but it's more so a ranking thing, as you get one of 3 medals the less you focus on the weakpoint.
Model H definitely isn’t Overpowered like HX is. It’s worse than Model ZX 100%, and I mentioned how Model H is worse in ZX Advent a decent amount of times, but the only time I directly said it was in the outro. But yeah, Model H is nerfed pretty hard in Advent, while still being good.
@@PhoenixYT9838Not denying that, though for some reason, HX's design sells better for me than Aeolus. And the movement is a huge plus for either, save for aforementioned low points in certain stages.
Model H is just insane. I think it's the only model that can two touch Omega (if you're MiKenyan).
