I recommend gunvolt 3 as kirin plays similarly to hazel with both having the warp slash anyway I have only played it as hazel so far but it’s pretty good!

it got some GV dna in it, GV is a game i quite enjoy though its got issues. (GV stands for gunvolt for those who don't know) in GV3 in fact the main protag in that game is similar to one of the two charracters as she has a ranged attack to tag a enemy and do a teleport attack to them. though unlike this game it takes a resource i think we can safely say GV fans might enjoy this too

Man. I remember when I first got this. Thought to myself "Spike immunity? My worst enemy has been conquered!" And never really noticed any of the downsides later. Doesn't help you get the armor so late that it's really not much. But the wall cling and spike immunity really were pretty good to me.

You should’ve mention its huge hitbox. It’s larger than the standard buster pellet which means better hit-to-miss ratios overall. The 2nd Friender in Wood Man’s stage is positioned so you can’t hit it with your buster without entering its attack range but it can be safely hit from afar with Metal Blades if you time your jump shots right.

Number one is a 2nd phase that's why I disliked the video

bonus: metal man and his stage are quite easy to beat with the buster only first, adding to metal blade's appeal.

While not a weapon per se, the Magnet Gun/Platform Maker from Megaman 1 is a contender.

Air Shooter to me, Metal Blade in second

It is so good for 3 reasons. 1. The ability to fire at an angle, which makes it easy to hit enemies while platforming. 2. It can shoot through walls, which allows it to trivialize quite a few otherwise would be nasty encounters. 3. Most importantly is the ammo count, which allows it to last most of if not all the stage. If you use the glitch, then ammo is only limited by your patience. Combine these traits with the fact it is very effective against most common enemies, and you have a tool to allow you to get to the boss fight with relative ease. Yes there are more powerful weapons, but they tend to have very limited ammo. The ammo count coupled with its versatility is what makes it a contender for best weapon.

Don't quote me on this, but isn't there some trick to use Quick Man's immunity to Metal Blade (+ other weapons) against him? I've never tried this but I swear I remember hearing that if you use Metal Blade on him, quickly switch to the Mega Buster or something and shoot him with that, then he'll take damage and still be in his blocking animation. Rinse and repeat and you kill him without there being nearly as much risk.

Is it powerful? Yes. Is it good? No. It breaks the game's balance and isn't fun to use. I'd much rather have a weapon that's straight up useless than one that's overpowered. At least a useless weapon won't severely decrease the difficulty of an already easy game to players who don't restrict themselves from using it.

Good enough for me to go after Metalman first, and proceed to use in most levels, as well as more than one Robot Master. It's omni-directional, low cost to use, and damages mostly everything. Metal Blades are totally worth it.
