Suggestion for the "Where are they now?". Would it be possible to get a mini highlight reel from the 1st video? It would be nice to see some key moments for that player from the previous game (both good and bad). That way we can compare them to how they are currently playing. Also a link for the complete "before" video would be useful.

@@trasex8572or you know, they actually improved and climbed. I once climbed from hardstuck (6 seasons) 1700 sr to 2700+ in a week after I spend 140 hours in quickplay practicing what I needed to improve upon. And I never fell below 2650 ever after that.
I called plat after seeing the whole team on high ground, and going back to it to set up for next fight. Trust me, its rare in gold, i can assure you

Climbing in support is SO HARD. I was gold 5, then dropped to bronze 2 and am now gold 3. I am very positive OW2 will, purposely, give bad teammates to try and force you to carry. Especially, if you're on a winning streak.
I am now scared to play comp because I worry I'll fall back down.
my peak was plat 5 in support and my duo wouldn’t let me get off support so when we went on a 12 game losing streak I dropped to gold 5 and haven’t been able to climb out of silver since. support is so hard to climb in since you heavily rely on others.
@@jesska4jethis is also my mentality, but i realised that playing to win>playing for rank. I know that seems like the same thing, but instead of focusing on if wins or losses affect ranks, i heard you should evaluate why you won and why you lost instead, to help improve. After all, you are bound to lose and derank. If you climb back up, then thats how you prove you deserve your rank
@@devino.6332that's true, i went from silver 4 to gold 1 in a week in solo queue, as mercy. Til i got a 9 loss streak and dropped to silver, i was stuck there until i ranked back up to gold 2. Now im gold 4, about to hit gold 5
@TamWam_ The true way to climb and stay in those ranks is to analyse what happened with you having less impact in a game or what worked well and made you have more impact. Find a pattern.
Is it positioning mistakes, lack of peel, a certain comp you're playing against, or certain hero who just like last game did ...
I once climbed from hardstuck silver 1700 sr on support to never drop below 2650 ever again in a week of ranked. I did this by figuring out what was holding me back/made me lose or lessen my impact.

14:10 This might be a bronze thing, but I'm playing a frontline Ana because my team thinks everything is Deathmatch and forget to leave someone on point. Or just harass the enemy players away from the robot/area and return to defend. They just WANT that kill, you know? Specially Maugas. When they get low HP they love to rush to a 1v4 instead of running back to get healed or get to cover.
then i suggest going kiriko or a supp that can follow up on that
i deal with the same thing, most of my matches nobody peels for me if i am getting hard focused or they just straight up ignore my pings. So what i’ve started to do is basically just be a dps ana, because i can surprisingly get away with a lot, and it really helps my team. Now, this doesn’t work all the time BUT it has helped me climb out of bronze. You still don’t want to be too aggressive though because with ana range is crucial. I try to play kinda like widow, try my best to stay hidden and keep pressuring the enemy team while checking for who needs healing more occasionally.

I have played 3 comp games in my life and I’m wanting to start getting into it because I want to improve on my gameplay. But I’m so nervous 😭😭
I've been nervous about playing competitive mode. After seeing these players, I feel I might not be as bad as I think.
Before this ends I'm guessing mid to high plat. He doesn't even do that gold thing where you hold your ults for the "perfect" time.
I'm 8 mins in. I was guessing Gold 2 too. I'm also in Gold 2 on Kiri and this is similar to how I play. Some of the decisions are different though. I wouldn't have TPed to tank in two of those situations. I also play Ana :) Edit: I don't think their Ana is Gold 2 though. Missing a lot of sleeps, nades, and shots. They could also no scope in a lot of situations. Positioning needs work. Like you're saying to be further back. Nice sleep on that Moira though. Maybe high Silver Ana? I would have nanoed that Rein, lol. Good nanos are something I need to work on myself though. Plat 5! Congrats! I'll be there soon myself :)
Congrats to this guy. i don't get this game xDD i tryed to submit my games, but i don't know if it's worth your time, i allmost managed to do what this guy did, but backwards. My first combined rank was plat 5, now i'm in gold 4 dps, gold 4 support and allmost silver 1 in tank. So yeah, i'm really thinking about quitting this game. Again, congrats to this guy for the climb gg's been called

No, I'm console and their aim movement is too fluid, bad, but fluid. There's also no aim assist.
From what I've experienced playing Otisa, she doesn't feel too strong. I don't like that I still need to be just as defensive on Rein sometimes as I do in normal overwatch, but I still enjoy the speed buffs. Overall, I love all the tanks I either played against or as so far and I only had to mauga mirror once so thank you emongg for the changes you made.
My guess about 8 min into the video is silver 1 or gold 5. If I had to choose one I would say silver 1.

Ranking in Overwatch is a nightmare. Lol If you want to get REALLY good, you narrow down to a hyper specific way to play, and its contingent on the competency of your other team mates.
I just play OW as casual, unranked. I find a ranking system works best in fighting games. The only thing you're actually relying on is a fast internet connection.

Yeah, their kiri movement was pissing me off, constantly falling off high ground and then tping up just to fall immediately again. Their aim is also horrible and ana positioning is suicidal, this player shouldnt be past silver 3.
Just shows you how overtuned Kiri really is. That she gets this player to plat.

Holy climb. I don’t think it’s deserved tbh. At least not for their Ana. Gold 4 at best. Their Kiri looks better but it’s hard to look bad as Kiri. With Ana, mistakes are a lot more obvious. Mechanics and positioning still look gold rank.
If they made the climb, how could it be undeserved?

It for sure is deserved, you will get absolutely farmed in plat if you missplay often enough on ana and not make a play yourself in plat. The fact they are still plat says they are doing enough to be plat.
Is it on par with my ana? No but then again I'm diamond 3-2 on ana.
Improvement on ana takes practice and the knowledge of how too improve on it, I know from experience.
I used to be hardstuck silver i (1700sr) in ow1 on ana for 6 seasons. Untill i figured out it was lack of peel that was holding me back. So, I learned to defend/peel for myself by spending 150 hours in quickplay playing ana only, because nobody would peel for me.
That taught me much better positioning and cooldown usage and the ability to stay calm while under pressure.
I stopped the quickplay practice after i got 3 mvp cards in a row with 2x 92% on fire and one 96% on fire with a combined death count of 5 in those 3 games. I climbed to 2700+ sr within a week and never dropped below 2650 ever again.
@@padarousou Rank reset didn't do much for me to be honest: went from gold 2 to gold 1. Furthermore, I usually play solo :X As I said in the description, this was a pretty average display of my matches; if my average gets better, I guess I can try and aim for higher ranks ^^''
