Are there any plans to get a Carbahn certified dealer in DFW Texas so I can get my x4mc the whole Carbahn package with factory warranty? Cedar Performance is a great shop here, you guys should reach out to them. Any certified shop in the DFW area will give Carbahn a lot of business.
I have a manual G80 and am considering getting your stage 1 software tune but have a question about the difference between the software and the controller: Does the controller work similar to a COBB Accessport where I can install and uninstall the tune whenever I want, like when I take my car into BMW for service as an example? Also, does the controller need to stay attached to the car or can I unplug it when the tune is installed?? Are there different map slots on the controller? Do you tune the car for specific parts I have installed and the type of fuel I will be running?
No, the Cobb access port is a flashing tool and ours is a piggyback. All of the BMWs produce after July 20 20 have locked ECUs that in order to put software on the car it would have to be unlocked using femto in Finland.
