Mozart String Quartet No. 19 in C Major, K. 465, "Dissonance" - IV. Allegro Molto (on Marimbas!)

This is the John M. Harlan High School Percussion Ensemble performing the 4th movement, Allegro Molto, of the famous "Dissonance" string quartet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Obviously, these aren't string instruments, they are marimbas instead - a challenging feat to put rigorous string literature on a new medium, but these students did a fantastic job.
These students are all in the Wind Ensemble at Harlan and put in many hours of practice and dedication into their craft, culminating to what you see today. These students are under the direction of Mr. Steven Partida - Percussion Director at Harlan High School. We hope you enjoy the musicianship on this stage.
