    when the guy was sticking the red snapper in the side then releasing them is that what is known as "venting"? aka releasing the air/gases in the air bladder that actually help the fish?

    • @lookin2kayakandbike664
      @lookin2kayakandbike664 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Tommy TwoToes Yes, venting. Gotta release it so they can make it back down. It does not harm the fish.

    • @30mofishing
      @30mofishing  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes... they can not swim back down with out the vent deflating the air bladder.

    What size gaff hook is that and how can i get one?

    • @30mofishing
      @30mofishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      its home made... broom stick with a big shark hook. put a screw in eye... zip tie it on or wrap it with string or do fiberglass like they did... super easy.

  • @tarpontime7562

    That is not how you vent a red snapper. Please don’t poke holes in them with a gaff!
