Wow! I worked at Walt Disney Imagineering when the simulator was there. I am the rider in the red blouse. It is one of my best memories to play a part in one of the most successful and enduring rides the Star Wars history. ❤❤
as a millennial who first experienced Star Tours in 1989, on my seventh birthday, thank you for your contribution. nothing will ever hit quite the same
@@kurenan4564 Yeah. I was about to mention that too. It was a creature with multiple eyes taking off some kinda headgear with glasses who was smoking, if I remember correctly.
@@TraumaqueenamyThe part with the creature holding a camera and smoking was shown on the video as you boarded and C-3PO was giving final instructions before the flight.

I have a question. Did you guys actually like really ride the ride? Did people in costume stay in costume?
I'm glad this has been archived and preserved - this brings back so much childhood memories.

More Star Wars than Galaxy's Edge.
Teek is so adorable
I really love the retro 80's vibes. Also how cool would it be to get a movie based on the original version of this ride?
Looking back, Star Tours opened at Disneyland only 10 years after the original Star Wars debuted in 1977.
That was 35 YEARS AGO!
Childhood classic 🎉

am I missing something? this looks like it has been edited from the original. It's missing a lot of the more funny things like the smoking etc.
Yeah looks like the smoking part was taken out.
