    Had a chance to play this as a kid at Disney world. Not the final product but it was incredible. I remember flying around Agribah and if you went too low the guards would yell and come after you. Was a crazy experience. I probably am remembering some of it with rose tinted glasses in terms of the 3D aspects. But the 2D characters were beautifully drawn true Disney fashion. Even VR in 2012 that i had tried for other products didn't impress me as much.

    R.I.P. Jimmy MacDonald, we’ll miss you and your brilliant sound effects that you used in plenty of Disney animated movies all around the world forever. The inventions that were used for the foley artists to use in the past were very interesting, because they were awesome devices to use back then. The timing was also very subtle in the old days. Please let me tell you that I did some foley sound effects myself back when I read some stories aloud to the kids remotely on Zoom for Storytime With Andrea. I read a Halloween story about Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang attending a Halloween party where I made some sounds with my mouth on side which was a creaking door along with using my fist to create a door knocking sound effect on the other. It was fun doing that at that time in my life before community services from a top-secret agency were going to stop in June 2023 and extend until January 2025. 😀

    When it came to growling vocals, Candy Candido was miscredited for doing them mainly because of his grave baritone voice. Well, Jimmy's trick was later brought to our attention, Candido wasn't the man behind the growling villains in Disney's films.

    That is Sean Lennon?

    • @TechnologyforStorytelling
      @TechnologyforStorytelling 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. You're watching video history! This film was created in 1990 by the Sony HDVS Soft Center to demonstrate the nascent High Definition Video technology. When this movie first debuted in the main store window of Sony Town in Akihabara, passers by would gasp in amazement at the clarity and sharp crisp focus of the picture. Infinite Escher is a paean to German mathematician and artist [Edit: Dutch Graphic Designer] MC Escher. It stars a young Sean Ono Lennon as a teen who starts experiencing visions of various MC Escher paintings, drawings and mechanical draughts. How many MC Escher motifs can you count? Although the special effects now seem passe, this video was truly cutting edge at release, a collaboration of avant gard industry artists: Directors John Sanborn, Mary Perillo, Dean Winkler; Music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Art Direction by Nam June Paik.
