9:20-9:21 "That's a dog and my ex best friend" Katherine is soooooo savage!! Love her😍😍😍👏🏾👏🏾👑👑
I love Jaxons parents. They did good. I'm always amazed at his knowledge of good 'older" music :) Beatles, Green Day etc.
@@kaDOA-xg6tf Dookie came out (pun intended) nearly 30 years ago. It happens to all of us. 👴
Jaxon by far the most knowledgable in this group.
I'm not even an American, but I think I knew about the US more than this gen Z
I usually feel dumb but after watching this and hearing their answers I feel smart...
When I feel like I'm surrounded by crazy people I just listen to videos based on Reddit posts, and soon I find myself thankful that the people around me are all so sane and normal! 😏
as a gen z i feel embarrassed C'MON HOW CAN YOU GET THE BEATLES WRONG
@@unkind6070, Actually, now it's 60 years, hard to believe (Counting their start in 1962).
@@unkind6070 Its music history man and they left their mark for good, Paul and Ringo are still alive!!
I know our educational system in the U.S. is shitty, but not knowing JFK's assassination date and Watergate is kinda insane
I feel like most classes don’t get that far in history before the class ends😂
@@austinlarrimore6542 But even if they didn't learn it in school, these events are depicted all the time in movies, series, even in youtube and social media... 🤦🏻♀️ 1963=Jefferson??? This even shows lack of critical thinking... (I'm from another continent. I love these kids, but I'm shocked!)
Yeah, I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn anything about the watergate in school. I learned about the watergate from a book about the U.S. Presidents that I read when I was 10.
@@cquelhas I grew up learning about jfk in school
It was so heartbreaking what happened to him!
When Jaxon imitated him, I chuckled!
He was like, "the man himself, John F. kennedy" with JFK's accent
Watching Catherine's reaction to the JFK assassination clip broke my heart, I was fighting back tears.
I teared up!
My dad still remembers that he was heartbroken that day
He was in third grade
And that the teachers were crying
“Apollo I” is a crazy answer and not knowing the president who was assassinated in the 1960s is insane…I’m part of this generation too💀
THESE KIDS DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT JFK????????????? what are they teaching in schools? 😭 i'm only 26 too
Im from the UK and knew all of these. Half of these were just common knowledge. Really surprised on how little the younger generation know about their own countries history.
We will accept you now as an American. Inform your country in exchange we will send 3 of these idiots in exchange, welcome aboard✋😀
I get not knowing some pop culture, but to not know JFK was assassinated? What are they teaching in school?
I am a Brazilian and I wonder if these people have history of their own country in schools. It is not possible that they simply do not know about the biggest events in the USA.
As an American i can tell you no, we don't. We're too busy being politically correct to actually teach children real history. I learned history from my parents and reading books.
I'm a millennial and I knew all the answers, and was pleasantly surprised that I did. This was so much fun to play along to at home! Please do more of these!
Catherine's hints are just awesome lol
Dude I’m like 17 and I answered every single question it’s like common knowledge not even boomer history
I think a lot of us are taking their lack of pop culture & historical knowledge too seriously. I'm Gen X and only missed the serial killer question (thought it was Son of Sam). There are things that Gen Z hasn’t learned yet. When you lived during the times of the events, it's easier to judge. I wouldn’t have gotten the George Carlin or Dustin Hoffman questions right if this had been asked when I was a teenager. Give Gen Z some grace.
The point is at their ages, they likely would've learned it. They certainly should have learned JFK and Watergate in school. Angel reminded me of the classmate who tries to ask everyone for the answers because they know nothing.
Everything except the Berlin wall happened before I was born, yet I knew. Kids these days have no curiosity about history. Whether it be pop culture or geo-political.
_"Apollo 10?.... "Keep going", "Apollo 9?"_
Bruh, come on....
Always impressed with Jaxon's knowledge of the 80's and decades well before his time.... his parents definitely did a great job raising him. :)
9:20 'thats a female dog and my ex bestfriend'😂
9:18 "that's a dog and my ex best friend" i'm here for the shade hahahaha
Thats kids jfk impersonation was spot on
Jaxon did a great impression of JFK!
How do you not know JFK? That's like super monumental. For any generation.
JFK may be the most famous president, along with lincoln and Washington
Jaxon is the most pop culturally aware kid I've ever seen on this!
I mean Kennedy, comon, I am not American, but I know - it`s history. An importan part of hitory at that.
I stopped watching this channel for a while after the pandemic started. I have to say, I am so relieved to see the Elders of this channel all well and healthy :)
I love Jaxon!!! He’s just way too cool for school!!!
How did he not get the Moon landing though…he even said it!!!
I mean what are they teaching in American schools and colleges????
“No, that’s a dog. And my ex best friend.” 😂
Honestly this was absolutely horrifying
There's no such thing as "Boomer history." It's just history - and public schools apparently don't teach it anymore.
They’re just calling it that because it happened during the boomers upbringing it’s not that hard to understand the title
The schools do teach it. That doesn't mean the students will remember it very long. I don't keep large amounts of factual information in my memory as I don't have a reason for it and I'm Gen X.
To call questions like this "Boomer history" is to give our young people the easy way out. Learn your history, both political and cultural. After all, you have Google, Wikipedia and TH-cam now to help you.
how can you not know immediately that freddy mercury was the singer of queen? queen was and forever will be an iconic band
Jaxon and Jair's parents raised them right in genre 👏
"A b**** is a dog and my ex best friend " 😭😭😭😭😂😂
Props to Jaxon for getting the year the Berlin Wall was torn down. I knew it was the 80's and guessed the same year, but wasn't entirely sure.
I mainly know about the Kennedy Assassination because I'm a massive _Doctor Who_ fan.
Kennedy was assassinated on November 22rd, 1963. The first-ever episode of _Doctor Who_ aired on November 23rd, 1963.
As you might be able to imagine, this didn't do wonders for DW's viewing figures. In fact, the viewership was so low, the producers even resorted to re-airing the pilot the next week right before episode 2, so people getting into the show wouldn't miss out in seeing the first episode.
At any rate, for this reason, most big Whovians know the exact date of Kennedy's murder.
“That’s a dog and my ex best friends..” I WHEEZED 😭
Apollo 13 was "Houston, we have a problem!"
I'm 38 and a history buff. Not space though eww😂 I ALWAYS think of the movie first then I say Apollo 11
Catherine always gives great clues.
Some of that was GEN X trivia.
I knew all of these answers except for Ted Bundy - I was thinking it was David Berkowitz (Son of Sam) who was active about the same time..
How I screamed so hard at my screen when they struggled with the JFK answer, as if I could have somehow fed them the answer 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But still 🫤🫤🫤🤨🤨
I learned about JFK a lot in school
His family is known for the kennedy curse
His own death is the most famous of the curse
I'm embarrassed just watching this. Glad Jaxon had the most common sense
yeah, I've watched a lot videos with Jaxon, he is very knowledgeable in a lot of fields and has a good music taste, seems like a great guy
I've never seen Mary Tyler Moore. I've only heard of her because of Weezer's Buddy Holly.
I’m not even American and I got ‘em all. This is just basic general knowledge xD
It pained me to see how many of them did not know when JFK was assassinated
Jaxon knows a lot for his age lol
10:51 - that is not a map of The Berlin Wall! That is a map of how the whole of Germany was occupied after WWII; how it was divided into sections that were administered by America, Britain, France, and the Soviet Union. The line highlighted in this map was simply the border between what would become East and West Germany, and was nearly 900 miles long! The Berlin Wall was 27 miles long and was erected in Berlin itself, which was deep in the Soviet-controlled area of Germany shown by the map given here. Despite being in the Soviet zone, because of its importance Berlin was also split into sections given over to the British, Americans, French, and Soviets to administer, which essentially made West Berlin an island in the middle of East Germany.
I'm 16 in high-school in the Philippines, and I got all of these correct, I was unsure whether the information I learned would come in handy someday so thanks FBE, for validating my knowledge.
Tbh other's partners helped them and they would've gotten many of them wrong if they didn't. Jaxon on the other hand seemed more educated about these things
The state of the American education system makes me cry in anger...
"thats a dog and my ex best friend" lmao
I’m 18 right now and when I have a family, I’m gonna make sure that they will know The Beatles and Love their music
If I ever get kids, I'm gonna let them like whatever music they want to without forcing my taste onto them 😉
I would have gotten 100% of these correct with absolutely no hints needed and I am gen z. I get not knowing the actors/comedians, but the absolute basic American history stuff is disturbing.
Some of them gave very impressive hints! 👏
I can understand some of their ignorance, but not knowing JFK?!?! Even my 13-yr old grandsons in Canada and Australia have learned about him already. 🙄🤔
"bush did it" and Scranton strangler 😂😂😂
I love this matchup!!! Most of my favorite reactors! The boomers look like they’re gonna slap them. 🤣
As soon as I heard Sizzler, I shouted "Oh snap!". Took me back to my youth youth in the 90s.
This video really does say something about the united state education system.
"that's a dog and my old best friend" gotta love old people
JFK. Watergate. Apollo 11. Should be taught in high school history.
yes but their country's name and other important and good things too, starting with not being anti-education
I'm just blown away at these '70's references being "boomer" references, since I'm a genX & it's my lifetime 🤯
Gen z: Its not a b*tch is it?
Boomer: That’s a dog and by ex best friend
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As a GenX I am so happy to see things like this the joy they get from it and seeing things like ooooooo! Jaxson you are just awesome!
I’m dying, I’m calling out the names and my 26 year old is arguing with me and telling me I’m wrong.
Some of the most important things in history and its not taught in schools unbelievable
You should listen to some of James Lindsay's videos/podcasts on modern pedagogy.
As soon as I saw Jaxon in the thumbnail. it was obvious who'd win! He's an old soul.
I'm gen z and European. And knew most of these. Jeez
@@TheElevenBravo20 there's no such thing as American TH-cam. European people like to know more about other people and their culture and their knowledge. Can't say the same about Americans.
How do they not know JFK 🤯
This just shocked me too! It makes me fear for our countries future. We learned about our parents and grandparents times in school and major wars and events. There are 20 somethings now that don't know which continent the USA is in or what a continent even is. They don't know major countries. This is in the US. In Europe and other countries I think they are better educated.
The U.S. education system on full display. I’m not American and I knew all the answers.
A lot of this is trivia. The history is more recent history and as a modern world history teacher I will tell you, with all we have to get through in the curriculum, and to do so thoroughly, we are lucky to get at least to the Cold War years by the end of the school year.
@@MsTexas73 I would expect them to immediately know about JFK and Watergate.
@@DayGloClam No. I used to feel this way too. But these babies are soooo far removed from that now. And they don’t watch regular TV like that. Where would they get references to know that? They would not. They are not us. JFK and Watergate is Boomer and GenX info. Not these babies. They can only get it in school or if they’re info nerds.
Not surprised Jaxon did the best that guy is too intelligent for his age… this was fun to watch I knew most of the answers pls continue to make more of these videos!!! I love history videos
I have a friend who's 43, and his favorite band is the Beatles. He knows so much about them.
There lack of history knowledge is deeply concerning
Why? There is so much information being thrown at GenZ, including 400 years of "American" history. They study a lot more stuff then kids from past decades.
Jaxon, you make me belive there is hope for the human race. Can't belive you even did JFKs accent! I am a Norwegian and knew most of the answers 😉
Please come to the US for I can't take this generations stupidity since some of these questions are essential not only to being a US citizen but a World citizen😒
not surprised that Jaxon got the highest score, he's one clever kid
As a 90s kid i'm glad I got each one right, except for my mind blanked for Mary Tyler Moore show.
1:35 - She was actually right, Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey and the others often referred to him as "Richie".
What do they teach in US history class? Cos I knew all this in England 😭
Jaxon immitating the "offer he can't refuse" was so adorable HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I wanna be best friends with him -_-
As a 23 yr old I’m proud to say I knew pretty much all of these. My parents raised me right lol
I understand people maybe not knowing the beetles and some other stuff but like did they not go to school? History class? Anything?
There are parts of history that schools don’t teach nowadays. I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn about any of this in school. I learned about the watergate from a book about the U.S. presidents that I read when I was 10.
Honestly I would think The Beatles would be the main one they did know and JFK i mean cmon
I'm a Millenial... And not even an American, and I knew all of these.
@@silverstar1178 Especially in this age of the Internet, where researching stuff is way easier than it used to be. Otoh maybe that makes people less prone to depend on their own memory? Something an old guy like me hates doing because my smarts and memory are all I got left anymore.
Oh jeez, that's embarrassing that they can't name the four Beatles😬 And technically the girl that said "there's a Richie in there" wasn't exactly wrong, as Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey🤣
That’s a dog and my ex best friend 😂😂😂😂
This was a really cool quiz. I love seeing the interactions and reactions between different generations. You guys are all so awesome!
This is why history will always repeat itself.
How can you missed these iconic history? I think Jaxon knows everything, the rest was trash
Probably because the school they go to doesn’t teach those parts of history. I graduated in 2016 and didn’t learn any of this in school. I learned about the “Watergate” from a book about the U.S. presidents that read when I was 10.
These kids are funny unintentionally though 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣
But I LOVE Jair and Gary pairing! They are hilarious together 😂☺️😂
She did not say Thomas Jefferson for the President assassinated in 1963 🤦♀️
