      Hello there: I went to check that website outwater.com but seems to be a little complicate for to buy some stuff from there, because you said those door slides guides were only $8 but I don’t know how to place an order. Or do you have to be a member to be able to buy from them?

    • @meaznet
      @meaznet 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just click on the part number, that will bring you to a page to add quantity. Click add then click checkout. website is extremely slow and needs a refresh if it stops responding I'm finding.

      The door that doesn't want to close just disable one of the soft-close hinge switches and it should close on it's own. I'm surprised it's like that with a full MDF door, you might also want to make sure it's not out of alignment.

    So many times, when I’m watching your videos, I feel like an idiot. I see you do something and realize that is such an easier way to do it than the way I have in the past! For example, putting the drawer slides on a workbench in order to easily attach the slides to the drawers! Oh well, live and learn! Great video, as always.

    Jay, I build ATA flight cases for a living, I saw this because I want to build cabinets for the Mrs. Its was very informative and has given the inside on how to build a nice box.. I think you did an excellent Job, definitely better than any box store box.. Good Job. People complain because they are not busy and usually have a chip on their shoulder. We call them Masters of the Universe complex. Again good job and the editing was very good as well. Thks for your channel. hats off to your assistant too!

    Really good video and great article. I am building a new kitchen and did the same thing as you, looked at how the commercial units were built then designed mine according to my wife's wish list. I used paint grade maple plywood for the boxes and brown (heartwood) maple for the face frames....not too expensive, easy enough to work with and durable. We have the same problem here as you, 4 big dogs, mud and dust!

    Beautifully done and great efficiency of work! The only thing I would avoid is the MDF drawers. I recently dismantled an old Ikea desk made from veneer particle board and it was amazing how easily you could knock the the fasteners apart with a moderate hammer blow. No holding power at all! Of course this is an office cabinet with less likelihood of spills that can also degrade MDF. Not a hater at all and love your vids especially minimal narration with emphasis on work flow. Thanks, Keith

    Yup, just some average back yard DIY cabinets. Are you kidding? If you consider that everyone has a shop outfitted with all those awesome tools, coupled with some fairly decent millwork experience, anybody can do it. I think the title is misleading, but the skills are next level! Learned a few tricks too!

    I made a set of nice kitchen cupboards . Did a nice pint job . THEN THE WIFE said """""""""" can you make drawers so I don't have to get down on the floor to get at something on the bottom and at the back . So off came the doors and then I spent several days making drawers and repainting . Now mama is happy and the world is once again good . Nice job by the way .

    Those look like you could've bought them at the cabinet store. I've watched several videos of yours building cabinets and that's how I learned to build them.
