I love these interviews because so many DS performers seem like they kinda went in thinking the same, not realizing how invovled the whole thing would be. Norman said yes without hesitation cause Guillermo Del Toro told him to, but I don't think he realized either how heavy of a lift the whole project was going to be, that Hideo loves movies and approaches his games in such a cinematic way. It's so cool to see them EXCITED about it being more than they expected.

People think video games are still stuck in the 8bit era lol. They’re essentially interactive, 40 hour long movies at this point
in the case of death stranding if you tune out of the story it becomes 100+ hours of trying to be the best delivery man in the world.
A lot of people indeed have no idea how amazing video games are today!! Some people might even give it a try if they knew...film fans especially would probably love some of the more accessible, cut-scene heavy games like the ones Supermassive Games, or Quantic Dream are making...
Video games tell better and more emotional stories than movies or television. Death Stranding is everything film hopes to be

@@Evan.280I love video games but you’re absolutely wrong. Video games are not even close to being able to capture the emotion of a great film animated or otherwise.
The problem is there’s potentially two Lous. There’s sams original child with his wife who both died. Then there’s BB-28. Now the problem and weird question is, did BB-28 get replaced by Lou’s soul or Ka? Cause in the beginning of DS 1 Sam and BB die in the first void out and you see BB become a BT/crawl into the ocean. But then…..is she repatriated as the BB? Or did Amelie bring back Lou? It’s supposed to be Lou supposedly because it facilitated a connection between sam and the baby (since it’s his original kids soul) and would help him through the process of reconnecting the world for Amelie. But then what the hell happened to BB? Is that baby just gone? Why does sam ask if Higgs killed Lou, cause which Lou? Current BB-28-Lou? Or the actual Lou from before, we never heard how his family died exactly. This is gonna be a super interesting game.

@@anessamer i saw a theroy from the trailer in which Lou has a little black heart on her arm, and in another picture containing the actor's names there was that little black heart in the middle of her name

@@onaj_tamo4425there was also this comparision thing where i saw announcement pictures of Fanning posing in front of those 3D scan cameras. And those poses were a 1:1 match for some of the poses that are available for BB in Death Stranding Director's Cut's photo mode.

I think people saying they're not into video games is wild. Its like saying nah i dont fuck with books, music, or films. It makes you sound hella ignornant like oh this entire medium of entertainment isnt for me. I thi k its mostly because videogames are so new comparatively that people still kind of look at it through this juvenile lense. Anyway, im looking forward to the game.

I think her "Ka" is what we see show up in that broken pod, towards the end of the trailer. The little baby w/the angel wings. But her "Ha" will grow up & look like Elle Fanning as she ages. OOOH I CANNOT WAIT. lol

It's not about that, she's talking about how direct Kojima is. As a director you don't just say "cry", there's much more layer and preparation for that, but Hideo is a auteur.
