Isekai Hero literally gets Isekaid Again | Shield Hero S2 Recap

With another Wave happening in a week, Naofumi Iwatani and his party have no time to waste. However, when bat familiars raid Lurolona Village and the Wave countdown comes to a halt, the Four Cardinal Heroes reconvene with the queen, Mirelia Q Melromarc, for a quick briefing. The queen presumes that the odd occurrences are linked to the Spirit Tortoise-a threatening creature that has awakened from its slumber, back to cause havoc once again. A plan to put the Spirit Tortoise to rest is devised-but out of the four men, only the cursed Shield Hero agrees to help.

The anime is nice but this season was mostly just about fighting that turtle, which not going to lie felt pretty slow even for a turtle

sadly for the isekais that aren’t insanely mainstream it’s almost always more profitable to create a new show generating new audience (even if the plot is shit) than trying to make more seasons which is harder to gain attraction

Disappointing, I read the source material back when the teaser dropped in fall of 2020 and was hyped. The source material for season 2 was good but they made about every bad decision they could’ve made in an adaptation. Glad there is a different director for season 3 and hope they were mainly focusing on season 3 and just getting the events in season 2 out of the way.

Yeah the pacing was bad and moved too quickly, their potrayal of the characters felt a bit off, and why was Rishia given a slave crest? Actually scratch that, why was it Raphtalia, the girl who's whole childhood trauma caused by slavery, the one to suggest this?
This was all in the first episode mind you, I basically stopped after ep 2

This season is rushed, when I compare season 2 in the manga, they actually have more plot and more storyline like they have to find about the turtle by investigating. Still nice recap

Wow, I forgot almost everything about this season, which is easy to do, since it was so frigging boring. It just felt like a sidequest, and that would work in an anime like One Piece, but this one releases a season every 2 years, so wasting so much time and resources on a SIDEQUEST feels like crap.
