I really hope this gets a second season. Not only was it hysterical, but I really want to see what happens when Leon and Marie find each other out.
Go read the light novel. They in fact discover each other quite soon. Season 1 covers Vol1 and 90-95% of Vol2. I think they find each other out in Vol 3.

I gotta agree about people having a theory that the fake goodie two shoes. 'Maria' is leons sister, because when we first see her, we never see her face, well it showed her mouth in a frown. but it showed her hair style at the back in another scene
it's not a theory the novel literally confirms it it's a theory if you only watch the anime i mean even in the manga (the chapter still untraslated but it exists) they find out about each other

Love this series. Actually plays with tropes and makes the world’s situation show how it would actually play out while playing with the storyline. There are consequences and ripple effects for everything and little is just left in the past.
Leon definitely deserved the thumbnail ending.

The alternate Marie story is really good too. It pretty much explains the original story of the game with Marie and Leon getting through it and he isn't op.
LN version is actually good. imo it gives a different impression than other isekai. The storyline is also quite interesting. Don't know why they ruined it in manga and anime

Okay, first of all i accept no marie slander, she is absolutly best girl, and the proof is both the main story and an au
Lets just confirm that Marie and Leon where siblings in their previous life, neither of them remember each others names or faces, in face they don't remember their own names, but they remember their actions which is how they found out each other as siblings in the main story, and then marie is a chad, at least after arc 3 (where the current manga is), cause in arc 4 and 5 she has the best support, first of all she's just very capable, blah blah blah, knows leon the best helped the heroine (at some level) and she just was good support since she understand leon the best
Lets talk about Marie's life now
First of all the reason shes smol is because of the fact that she practiced healing magic for 10 years straight, which stunted her growth, she also had to partially live in the wild, for the most part her clothes are and hand because her family sucks, and she is physically strong enough to fight bears and boars (although its also partially because shes both smart and patient, since it still takes half a day), she also knows the plants in forest which are and aren't edible (due to personal experience), anyways shes very pitiful, and also stronk
