I am new when it comes to learning about speakers. There are many types and sizes and it can get confusing sometimes. Thank you so much for this video! You explained everything absolutely perfectly with amazing pictures for examples.
Hi there. I have a pair of Marshall Woburn 2 and one klipshe subwoofer,I want to connect Both to a Tv for stereo sound. both speakers and subwoofer have a RCA ports. so I need a receiver for that ?
fantastic presentation ty. i have a smart tv Samsung it has HDMI arc all i want to do is add an external rca passive speaker to it .I'm happy to purchase through your channel on amazon. please send link
Your exlanation are so simple to understand :) I knew some of this things but i'm pacing other problem. My tv connected to an amplifiler via aux to rca cable. The amp is always on. When I turn on the tv there is a loud boom\popping\thump sound from the speakers and the amp makes small "click" sound". Even when I turn off the light swich there is a boom sound from the speakers. I heard a lot about a ground loop isolator but I dont know if this really the solution. Do you know how to fix this issue? THANKS!
First...Great video. Thank you. Here's my dilemma: Roku Tcl 50" with hdmi arc port. Two Fostex studio powered speakers - each with only one red rca jack connector. Is there an adaptor that I can connect the single rca from each speaker through to the hdmi arc? I'm probably not posing my question correctly...but...help?
Got a "Headphone" port on my TV, which also has a "line out" port. My receiver is connected with "RCA to Aux" to the "headphone" port on my TV. What is the "line out" for on my TV? Great video BTW!
interesting, I mean as you point out, it's a bit redundant but hey there is a difference. with headphone port it'll probably cut off the tv audio as soon as you connect it and that's likely not the case for line out connection. ultimately it sounds like you have a tv set whose priority wasn't saving costs. GOOD FOR THEM!
i have a creative 2.1 sound system on my pc (jack 3.5 mm). is that active? and one time I got a surround system, but i couldn't handle it. Next time I'll dig it out of the basement to check if I could connect it with this information.
I have a 7.1 onkyo. Does anyone know if there’s a way I can connect a 2.0 and get all the sounds out of the two speakers? I’ve connected the tv via a 3.5mm to an rca because I want to use my roku remote for everything 😢

That must be a headphone jack then. They programmed it do that as a logical decision. Does your tv had any other OUT ports? If not, try your luck looking in the headphone settings!
I have an old receiver/DVD player with RCA jacks and a new samsung TV with HDMI, so I purchased a RCA-to-HDMI converter. When playing a DVD, the sound comes out of the receiver, but when watching TV it only comes out of the TV speaker. The TV does not have an external speaker setting, so how do I get the sound to come from the receiver?

Exactly! I’m gonna make a vid that goes over this terminology. I think it throws people off. Stay tuned!
