He may go in the Ryan but like him a bit if he takes his chance in the gold cup .He looks a stayer of sorts and has pace for 2 mile races .Saint Calvados as it's a wide open race this year .E/W of course

The pedigree does suggest he may well stay the trip albeit he's been aimed at 2 mile contests . He likes Cheltenham too and ran a good race over 2.5 giving weight . The other long shot is Chris's Dream I've been looking at . I've just had a bet money back if he doesn't run on Saint Calvados and wait for it Elegant escape who ran well last year and got outpaced .He has had a wind op and although he ran a crap race last time at Haydock the ground I think was virtually unraceable.

Al boum is going to take a lot of beating ,Monalee with the first woman rider to win a gold cup,Friday's newspaper headlines. My predictions, if anyone is going to do it it'll be Blackmore . Think Delta work will be even better next time .Kemboy if his next target is the Irish gold cup rule him out winning our version ,always takes too much winning and generally takes a long recovery . I like Delta work and hopefully trainer will give him an easier lead up before a shot at Cheltenhams gold cup . If Kemboy is on song and his jumping is improved he should have too many guns for Delta work . Don't think he should have finished 5th. Percy and Delta were more or less together for the whole race (held up) . Smooth headway and jumped the last together . Kennedy pushed Delta out with whip and Russell didn't.
Had Delta Work in the tracker from a few runs back but his jumping was a bit poor at Down Royal and couldnt have him. Ah well thats the way it goes, glad to see him back on track. Presenting Percy for the Gold Cup for me.

I think it could be another Mullins Cheltenham gold cup Al boum Photo is no mug and last year was not a fluke . Presenting horses dont stay the Cheltenham distance

@@kevinkelly4374 I knew he won the RSA ,that was my reason for not having him in last years gold cup .The race seems to take its toll on race horses ,they need a long break to recover from it ,some are never the same again . I'm of the same opinion about the Irish gold cup and Delta work . Al boum had a fight at Punchestown with Kemboy ,Kemboy never returned the same after that epic race . Still looking at possibilities other than the obvious as it's a wide open race and could throw up a Lord Windemere or Nortons coin scenario.
Love Leopardstown. The best horses normally show up and was fortunate to be here in February when it was all good ground and near enough every favourite went in so maybe it's the heavy ground.
@@Fazareth3103 yes i remember that meeting when all favourites went in... but this ground is desperate, sticky and the worst ground you can imagine... its like greese... normally on heavy ground jockeys are covered in mud but this is far worse... horses seem to be walking from start to finish... groundsman should get sack for this job.
@@aleemch3567 totally agree about the ground but think you're being a little harsh on the groundsman they got annihilated last year for not watering then this year has been pretty much soft to heavy at every meeting.
Would love to see it but 340 days without P.Kelly having a winner can't be coincidence. Love Percy and have backed him at a big price for the GC but was expecting a lot more second time out especially at the trip.
@@Fazareth3103 the stat doesn't worry me too much at all he only had like 60/70 runners this season, he has a 15% place rate and when you are running horses agaisnt elliot mullins obrien de bromhead and many other top trainers. Percy will be primed for a second bash at the gold cup
