With the current weather disasters around the world, real estate that relies on space development is updated to capture solar and wind energy that is exposed to failures and blackouts caused by weather, insects and birds damaging solar farms and turbine blades. Many example videos, working on amazing oil platforms isolated like home confinement, minimizing space and shelter so as to ensure safety and protection from the weather, it is indeed worthy of TEAMATHON (everyone add more running marathons) to finally achieve this huge dream. Congratulations.

    • @straytrons9795

Clean energy is not at all clean. You just don't see the damage because it happens in China and Russia where the media is not allowed to go and report on the ecological disasters unfolding there. Perhaps you should study the massive environmental damage caused by China in producing solar electric panels. There is still no way to recycle those panels either. The mess of disposing old and damaged solar panels is creating an even bigger haz-mat dumping field due to the toxins involved in your 'clean solar'.
Don't get me started on batteries, tens of thousands of pages have been written about how horrible high tech battery manufacturing and disposal is to the planet.

If they need to drill to 30'000ft for oil. Then we are seriously running out of new oil discoveries

Nah, there's lots of oil, but lots of it is restricted. Alaska is a prime example.

I think it's been proven that some of larger reserves are in the Gulf Of Mexico. Venezuela has next largest reserves next to Saudi Arabia, and currently their oil operations are in question, perhaps to keep prices high for other reason in the industry. I'll admit this, it's a daunting task now days to recover oil, and let alone worry about prices, they took a picked a prime location to recover oil/gas from, the weather there is decent most of the year as transport to the platform for workers, and from is not a issue so it's strategic location is probably bar none in the world including refinement operations......

Does anyone think that maybe just maybe that the oil is in the ground for a reason? Is it possible that earthquakes happen more frequently because we're removing the oil from the ground? Wouldn't it be better to just invest all that time energy and money into creating things that don't need oil to the extent that you need to build something like this?.....just asking questions.

Dont say this again, oil wont be replaced even after 10,000s of years. The plane that flies, the ships in the ocean cannot be replaced with solar or wind energy

But the data proves that the more you dig the more you disrupt the ground also known as earthquakes. The burning of fossil fuels also disrupt the eco system. We have enough smarts and Technology to use cleaner forms of energy. But we never use the wisdom to put it into practice. Your comment proves my point.....smh

It is more than fascinating to view all the technology that goes into an oil rig platform for a novice like myself. I now know three people that have worked on them. The third one I love and is at sea in Norway after having completed a year contract in the gulf of Mexico.
