It's a real shame most of the World Premiere Toons/What A Cartoon! pilots were scrapped. AFAIK, only five of them became successful full-on shows: Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls, and Courage The Cowardly Dog. The rest just faded into obscurity.

I have to wonder if anyone else had interest in this pilot: Nickelodeon? Disney? 4Kids? Considering this was Canadian, I would assume that this may have also been shipped around to Family Channel, YTV & the then-upcoming Teletoon & presumably it being rejected by said Canadian TV networks is why we haven't seen much of Buzz Media Group since.
I spent the past two decades of my life believing this was some kinda fever dream I had as a kid.
wtf same, It took my 3 hours to find this
@@chubbycat5173 i just remember this cartoon now after all those years
Same
same here
I vaguely remember seeing this way back when it first appeared on cn.
1995 was the year for sure. These great new cartoons coming out on Cartoon Network, this should’ve became a full series like cow and chicken etc
I agree, this should've been a full series.
I agree.
"Hurry up, I gotta go shopping for a whole-new wardrobe before our next adventure."
If only...
Bro whoever found kudos, you don’t know what kind of time warp you just sent me too as a child growing up in the 90’s
I always remembered this show, even with only one episode. Glad to take a stroll down memory lane when I was young...
this definitely is a futurama pilot.
Definitely taking me back to 1995
Heh, to think we could've had a Zapp Brannigan show.
What the hell got into my brain to make me google this for almost an hour after 25 maybe 30 years ago? Man the brain works weird.
This cartoon looks like Futurama; and the main character, Captain Buzz, looks like a mix between Earthworm Jim and Philip J. Fry from Futurama, this is awesome!
Buzz gives me a lot of Zapp Brannigan vibes.
Found it after 20 years :D
ORIGINAL AIRDATE: Sunday June 25, 1995.

XDDDDDDDDD HOW IT IS EVEN POSSIBLE THAT THIS CARTOON LOST??
Right but I guess they we're selfish
I always wondered why this cartoon lost. The others I kind of understood but this one. I always wondered what was the reason [>
@@kaineshigaraki5253 I would assume Buzz Media Group went defunct shortly after. Either that or YTV/Teletoon rejected it.

I've been trying to find this for yearss
This thing has haunted my memories of childhood for as long as I can remember. Those freaky slobs with the foreheads were just too much!
They remind me of Zapp Brannigan and Kif in a way...
Except Captain Buzz is smarter than Zapp and actually came back for Slide.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Reminds me more of Earthworm Jim and Peter Puppy.

One of them did become Family Guy as well.
Larry and Steve became Family Guy.
Bra im so throwed..nostalgia hittin hard right now
Things they got away with back than.
4:31 Robot has pupils for a single frame.
Could you imagine any of such What-A-Cartoon shows aired today?
All woke🤦🏻♂️
Reminds me of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command for some reason
I wish this was a series.
That brain power music is awesome!😊
now i fell identified with Captain Buzz, my washing machine is not working either
I remember watching this cartoon when I was young, and for some reason it freaked me out haha.
I've watched it too, but I had a liability of not being an English speaker.
Me too!
Kinda the same butbit was the aliens weird heads that freaked me out
TV and Beer Make Buzz Cheeply something something
The adventures of captain buzz cheeply in a clean getaway is aired June 25th,1995!
this wouldve made a great show
I know right? This one could've been something amazing, but noooooo...CN was too high hat for anything good
yeah and it also got a robot. from the very beginning robots have played an important part in science fiction television
@@bigmacsamaShould have taken it instead of Sheep In The Big City

When cartoons were good....
