Well done young man. your set up is very good. Visuals more than acceptable, audio very very good. Your commentary is better than lots of youtubers that have been at it for 20 years. The cream on the cake is your choice of first bike. Perfect cc for someone new and premium quality. Hope you enjoy motorcycling for the rest of your life as i have. Dale.
Thanks for the kind feedback, Dale. I really appreciate that! I totally agree with everything you have said about the bike, too. I don't think i could have made a better first choice, and the 400cc is more than enough for me now. I can't wait to get more miles under my belt on this amazing machine 😀
@@NewRiderDiaries Its not bike of the year by MCN for no reason and many other awards recently although i am biased because i never buy anything other than Triumph LOL
@dalechamberlain7767 I think I'll be the same as you. I'm only 3 weeks and certain I'll be a Triumph guy! To think I nearly got an Enfield. Thanks again mate 👍
Hi James , glad your enjoying the bike , lucky enough to have the same bike amongst my steeds and am thoroughly enjoying it , I personally prefer the bike with the 15 tooth sprocket and for me definitely adds to the enjoyment of the bike on the road , nice to see the familiar roads as I’m only down the road from you on route to Welshpool , enjoy !!
Thanks, mate! I think you're right - the 15 tooth sprocket will be a big improvement for road riding. I've just ordered the part now, so I should have it up and running in a week or so. I was over Welshpool way on the bike at the weekend funnily enough. Some great roads to explore 😀
I have rode bikes for the last forty years and bought the 400x has a second bike for the work commute and down the lanes during winter but this bike is more than the sum of its parts so its going to be a keeper
Hi James enjoyed the video! i would be interested in seeing how you get on changing the sprocket?as comments appear to make the bike better? I take delivery of my 400x next week! i was going to wait until next spring with the colder months fast approaching it might be laid up for a few weeks not being used? but the dealer offered as discount of £300 so decided to go for it.I agree the bike does look better with the bar end mirrors& minus the hand guards.
Thanks mate, really appreciate it! I should be changing the sprocket on it this week or next, but I can't wait to get it done and see how it rides afterwards! Great choice on the bike, too - honestly, you won't regret it, and it sounds like you had a great deal! All the best, and enjoy the bike 👍
Hi mate, I bought mine off Amazon. They are not a perfect fit, but by taking off the hand guards (and making a few other adjustments), I got them to work. I'm going to upgrade to the TEC bar end mirrors soon as they are a perfect fit. Visibility much improved, though, and they look miles better than the stock imo 👍
Nice video James, some lovely scenery 👍

It's such a good bike! I planned to use it as a stepping stone to bigger and better things, but I may also hold on to it long term. Enjoy it mate 😀👍
James how many miles you getting to the tank
@stephengrainger7586 it varies to be honest. Probably about 210 but I have had up to 230 on a good day 👍

Hey James, do the bar end mirrors fit well on the scrambler? I’m planning to replace mine as well.

If you don't mind me asking, which model or size Kriega bag do you have? It looks like it fits the back seat very well.
@adamschmidt5712 it's the Kriega Drypack US-5ltr - it fits the back seat perfectly and is such a good bit of kit - I would highly recommend it 👌
@@NewRiderDiaries Thank you sir! I do not have a Scrambler (yet) but have been researching accessories already. Hopefully in the next few months!
