Hey, there. I just stumbled across-the-board your channel. I'm a fellow New Englander (Masshole). I coin roll hunt looking for errors & varieties. I'd love to one day go metal detecting. My wife got me an inexpensive detector off Amazon a few years ago. To this day, I haven't been able to use it. So, I live vicariously through everyone else. Great channel. NEW SUBSCRIBER 🤙🏼
@@whatsintheplugdetecting23 thanks John! Yeah that was an interesting property with a little of everything lol. Thanks for the support and I'm glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed your video. Just as a correction “Scottish thistle on an Irish coin” should be “ Scottish thistle on a Charles 2nd Scottish Bawbee” Loved the seated half! Andy
@@andrewkrzykowski3489 oh really? Sorry about that! I was just going based off Google. Glad you enjoyed the rest of it though, thank you for letting me know.
On that Trigger easy way to tell is hammer and trigger on a real gun are usually made of steel and will rust and it could be stainless which mean it would still be as shiny as when it was lost! And usually hammer and trigger are two different items in a real gun.
NO NO NO NO NO DONT STRAIGHTEN THAT SPOON!!!! THEYVE BEEN BENT THAT WAY!!!! Check into it they’ve been found on several channels including dig that beep!! One of the guys found it when they was on the lake that the water was low for repairs and another was found last year by another Detectorists and that might have been on quarter hoarder!! But it’s been determined those have been bent for measuring and pouring something but I don’t remember what but the handle was bent up and around I’m guessing like your was before you straightened it. Just mess John or Jason and what they say about it.
@@Dirty-digsI’ve watch either Gary or Phil on Dig That Beep and I think the other one was quarter hoarder show where each show had dug a spoon just like that. Sides of the bowls curled over and the handles bent up and around like to make it to easily pour something out of it. But they were also all at a loss on exact use.

@@chuckjenkins4348 agreed, that was made of pot metal.. definitely a cap gun
Pretty sure the first item found is the top of a lightening rod.

Lightning rod tip first find
@@exploringhistory1994 that's what I thought! It was too perfect for a conical point. And too big

@@rodneyfruhling5128 agreed! Just recently before that I had dug a conical tip and a clacker cone so that was fresh in my mind when I filmed that lol.
