Metal detecting and exploring the oldest homesites, cellars, and farms that I can find around Northern New England.
Metal detecting is just the hobby, history is the passion!
Also a member of the 603Diggaz TH-cam channel - give them a try if you haven't already!

Are you in southern central NH? Another channel I watch is Not Thursday….doing essentially what you are. That one you can contribute in the comments about how and where.
@@keithrayeski6417 yes , I'm based out of South Central NH. But I drive as far as the coast and about 2 hours north, and also go into Massachusetts often as well. And yes not Thursday and stealth diggers are great channels. Love those guys
@@Dirty-digs I’m enjoying your channel. I’ve often speculated about remote undetected areas along the Connecticut River, on both sides. There was a lot of activity in and along there from the first settlers (old fort at #4), through the F&I and of course, rev war. Keep up the great content!! Oh, I’m over in Milton…
@@keithrayeski6417 thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. It'll just keep getting better little by little as I learn more about editing etc. that area along the CT river intrigues me a lot, I haven't made my way up there yet though.
Great pile of finds! Silver thimble was awesome, cut copper and the KG3 awesome too, but that silver washed shoe buckle was incredible! Another awesome video and awesome find for Matt with the Hibernia!
@@masonmercmetaldetecting thanks Jim! Yeah that shoe buckle was definitely my favorite find of the day lol. It's been years since I found a shoe buckle with any silver on it
Wow. What an amazing hunt you guys had. I really like those cool relics, buttons, ax blades and awesome looking shoe buckle and also those cool coppers.
@@stevenstark9017 thanks! Yeah it was a really fun hunt and we saved some great relics in the process
Awesome hunt man! All kinds of goodies bro💯
@@silver-assassin508 thanks bud! that was a rare day of cellar hole hopping where there was decent targets left for us at each spot we hit
Awesome hunt and finds!❤
@@cynthiaswearingen1037 thank you! Yeah it was definitely a fun day out in the woods
Nice watching now ❤
@@susanamorijon3258 thanks for watching, hope you enjoy it
boom let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
Complimenti per i ritrovamenti fatti, tanti belli reperti

Would love to go on a group hunt some day
@@chrisfegan3475 where are you located?
Awesome video
@@chrisfegan3475 thanks for watching and the support! Much appreciated
what a great day for a hunt, You both found some awesome relics and coins. Congrats on all the toy soldiers, Im sure the will display great. All the best John.
@@whatsintheplugdetecting23 yeah I love those types of hunts! Every few feet there was something else just waiting to be unearthed. A lot of those items were given to the property owner at the end of the day, but i still have a few of the soldiers 😊.
@@whatsintheplugdetecting23 thanks for watching and commenting as well. Much appreciated
What machine are you using ?
@@Portageediggah I'm mainly swinging my manticore, every now and again I take my Nokta legend out for a hunt
What happen to your legend.
@@ChrissyEis I still have it, it's just more of a back up for me at this point. Every now and again I'll take it out instead of the manticore
Nice looking KGI I find mostly KGII AND KGIII in the western part of NH
@@gralynmorrill8115 I usually do a lot of my hunts more towards the western side of NH, and I agree...it's mostly all kg2's usually
Ma quante cose vengono perse, ogni volta che si torna in dietro con il metal si ritrova sempre cose nuove 👍
Wow, what a day! So many awesome finds! Those are days we love! Nonstop digging with relics and coins spanning 3 centuries! Keep up the great work!
@@masonmercmetaldetecting yeah it was one of those non stop finds for 8+ hour kinda days
Awesome finds! Love those toy soldiers!
@@dirtclodmetaldetecting thanks! Me too, I don't find em often so it was really nice to dig em up
Amazing finds! I love those toy lead soldiers
@@carterm5734 thanks, yeah I love those too! Before that it had been a few years since I dug any of those up.
Another awesome hunt! I can't believe you found a large cent on top of the ground! 😂
@@christophermichaud7187 thanks! As for the large cent...my only guess is that it was under ground at some point, right up against the tree maybe. Then as the tree grew it spit it out where I found it. That's my guess at least lol
@@Dirty-digs that makes a lot of sense
Nice saves. I didn’t know the manticore battery would die that quickly. My 600 I can go a month without charging. And that’s 4 to 5 hours per week of detecting.
@@JusDirtfishin it varies depending on settings etc. but I average close to 8 hours probably. It's probably one of the very few things that I would change about the machine. I have a power bank for it, I just need to figure out a mount that will work well for it
Understandable. Maybe they will on the next generation of manticore’s
@@JusDirtfishin 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@@Dirty-digs agreed
Awesome relics and old coins, guys!❤
@@cynthiaswearingen1037 thanks for watching! Yeah that was a fun hunt
Nice KG1 and silvers bro! Sweet little spot💯
@@silver-assassin508 thanks! Yeah I can't wait to go back there ... there's still plenty more
We dug that same "Will Cleaver Extra Rich" button, I believe I read he was a tailor from London early 1800's. Cool to see someone else dig one.
@@masonmercmetaldetecting That's awesome! I don't really pay attention to back marks all that often unless it's a really nice button usually. That one just happened to catch my eye lol
That's awesome! A bonus episode and we get to see Sarah out digging with you! Man you guys were slaying buttons! Keep up the great work you two!
@@masonmercmetaldetecting lol yeah she made a rare appearance that day. I honestly couldn't believe how many buttons were there...it was one of those sites that you couldn't miss if you knew the area, but barely showed up on lidar.
Some nice buttons and where there are buttons there are coins to be saved.
@@DanimalDigs that's usually the case, I'll be back there in the future to see if I can find anything else that was missed
What a ton of buttons, wow!!!❤
@@cynthiaswearingen1037 yeah there was a ton of em left there lol
I would dig buttons all day .... love finding them. You definitely cleaned up on the buttons! Some really nice ones too. Great detecting!
@@christophermichaud7187 they are my favorite things to dig lol.Thank you
Every indicator that you were detecting Virgin ground! How awesome is that!? So many amazing finds from lead/pewter buttons to colonial coppers to amazing foot hold trap! I have always wanted to find an old trap! I found that same bank token from Canada!
@@masonmercmetaldetecting agreed, those types of spots don't come up too often anymore. Yeah I was really pleased with the bank token, I've only found maybe two of those ever. This one is by far the nicest (one one side atleast😆)
let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
I dont think that place was ever detected, guys. Awesome history saved!❤
@@cynthiaswearingen1037 I'd have to agree, the fact that it was mostly caved in helped hide it from everyone else most likely. Even on lidar it doesn't really resemble much of a cellar hole
Some awesome pieces of history. That's a good day of detecting.
@@christophermichaud7187 it was definitely a cool spot, and I think it was untouched before we found it.
