If you really REALLY want to build a Titanfall style pilot, you totally can. You will never touch a mech, but you can jump out of your own and zoom around while it does it's own thing being an NHP you're pals with. And, yes, that includes not being instantly made a memory.
There are so few creators that are talking about lancer for how good it is, and i cannot emphasis how happy i am that YOU were one to make a video for this!!! Your enthusiasm and video quality makes this SUPER digestible and exciting to get in on! Keep it up!
I had no clue what Lancer Core was 10 minutes ago. I'm now thoroughly captivated by it. Personally, I love the Conventional designs like Tortuga or Sherman, but the Horus designs are wicked too. Like they couldn't possibly be created by a sane person, I love it. Thanks for sharing!
At least with my experience in the Lancer community the HORUS mechs tend to be among the most popular. Granted, a lot of the people who PLAY HORUS mechs tend to be utter gremlins. XD
Lancer got me into a mech phase, which sent me down an Armored Core phase. I am now playing Battletech, all the Armored Core games, and soon to run a Lancer game. Thanks
I'm now rewatching all the lore videos as a refresher since I went from having no idea what Lancer was to now running a game of it with my friends, and I have this amazing video to thank for that.
I really love Lancer's worldbuilding in that it's one of the few sci-fi settings where instead of being on the cusp of discovery or decaying in some form of post-apocalypse humanity is arguably at its highest point in history right now.
Yeah that exploding Horus mech was a main plot point in one of the campaigns I was apart of. There was some homebrew 'you're going to get shot out of our spaceship, onto a planet, because this space battle makes it bad for us to land. So good luck!' Then some Horus abomination just floats on over as we're plummeting to some planet, and blows up like 1/3rd of our NPC escorts. The 'Iron Rain of Hilga Prime' was a sight to behold, thousands died so dozens could live.

I went through two lancer campaigns before I realized there was lore. While I like the lore it definitely helps that the game runs really smoothly. They looked at pf2e and said “your 3 action system is cute” and built up from there. They saw dnd’s more convoluted system of free actions actions and bonus actions and said “but what if it was more complex”. And there’s just so much variety going on between official second and third party content.
played dnd for abour 3 years without touching any other system until me and the boys played lancer. You will not regret reading the lore and will have a blast playing the game. Have you ever played a shooter and thought "yeah this is cool but I want to BE the artillery platform"? lancer says yes. You wanna play attack on titan? lancer says yes. you wanna be a backpack that also causes other mechs to experience nuclear fission on a personal level? lancer says yes.
You know... I found out that the Horus Minotaur being destroyed doesn't kill the pilot... I have to wonder, if one could combine the Minotaur and the Manticore to make a terrifying abomination that not only explodes with you in it, but allows you to SURVIVE it exploding with you in it.
