Far Cry 2 is an open world first person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft in October 2008. It's available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

This my friends was a DEMO for ubisoft.. But this is fucken up to standard with what most games are today even more so actually in depth mechanics that you learn on your own or with testing...

One of the best games ever made:
Shot the RPG out of the air lol
•The lack of HUD display
•The enemy communications giving away your position
• the jamming on guns
• the rag doll physics
• enemies dragging there wounded partners to cover
• objects physics
• the environment / openness of this map. The map doesn’t look auto generated like it was made predictably. This is a kick ass map
• your mini treasure map & tracker so your not finding shit instantaneously like in other games
• immersion, sounds & ambiance
•The way you heal (Bandages, Syringes, Pulling a bullet out, snapping bone back in place, etc.)
•the 2 hour real life time day and night cycles
• and NOW with these graphics mods, 60fps, 4K, etc.
10 / 10 game easily
The game did have some flaws but that’s expected because of it’s 2008 time era when produced.
If Ubisoft remastered this game in 2019, The game would generate millions in sales EASILY. Big $$$ without a doubt

Lots of Far Cry fans probably didn’t even play Far Cry 2. Either because it looked crap back then, didn’t know about it, or said screw it and never tried playing it. They could even add additional survival and new in game features in a remastered to make this game feel even more immersive and just make this game more remarkably fun to play fully decked out:
- needing to sleep
-drinking water / eating food
- Gas for vehicles
- Adding Quality Wildlife ( Lions, Tigers, Elephants, etc.)
- More attachments / Guns
- (Potentially if decided) expanding the map size to explore more
- Reputation bar
- More dialogue
- More random encounters
- making night darker and scarier (cool with night vision)
- Managing the respawn of enemies better
- More variety of enemy injure animations and better enemy patterns
- High resolution graphics
- newest 2019 engines, software, visuals & audio maximizing this game.
-Adding kick-ass multiplayer
(Co-op mode, battle royale, TDM, etc.)
- and more ideas Ubisoft thinks of
The game needs some fine tuning.
Mark my words though if Ubisoft chooses to remaster this game, and decides to put their full effort into making a best quality A+ version of this game after fully polishing it up,
(e.g Rockstar games developing Red Dead Redemption 2; 150 hour + work weeks from the staff developing the game,)
This game would be absolutely phenomenal!!! And for the PC version of a 2019 remastered FC2? You’ll have one of the best looking games of all time ever made.

Because Far Cry 2 is empty. And all the missions are the same. Also, no stealth. No animals
Fc2 has one of the best stealth mechanisms ever,because it’s not a stealth game there is no stupid indicator to tell you what percentage of you the enemy has seen and how dumb they are to ignore you.

far cry 2 was hell on earth , gun fights and fightings those militias was like a nightmare ,you have to be agressive to survive !
You can actually stealth it too.. It was really hard to do tho(did it in Infamous difficulty) and it was so tense since you try everything just so you won't end up in a gunfight...a great challenge

You may not like it but I adored the game where it made you think that in the end it was all useless cause you can't do a damn thing because everyone is replacable... everyone talks fast and people don't give a fuck if you die. That's so great about it tho
@@jamesdegtyrev6129 The game would've been great even with eye cancer giving graphics and terrible characters but the respawning outposts and eagle eyed enemies (that could see you from 200m while you prone) ruined the game
And I haven't even talked about the missions

I don't want one. They would fuck it up so bad in attempts to appease to all groups. Minimalistic HUD, no minimap, weapon degradation, malaria... These mechanics weren't well received on the initial game's launch, and I can't imagine Ubi thinking they'd make their money on it remaking/remastering this game in a similar style. They'd put their bullshit into it, forget the atmosphere the game was going for, and ruin it. I would be glad to see a return to form for future Far Cry games, I heard that 4 sorta did but it still had all that HUD.
Omg I love this as much as I can't even do half of it (maybe because I'm bad) but wow dude,far cry 2 has always tried to make itself frustrating and full of enemies from all sides but you still somehow managed to kill them all that fast ..simply impressed
It seems unrealistic to me, it's a great game,but difficult because unlike 3 and 4 you don't get pin point on the map of the enemies,u need to look for them and stay hidden.

There is binoculars in the game. And it encourages you to scope out an area before running in blind.

They also pretend they are dead and shot you when you dont expect it, AI was better than in recent FC games....
I was sooo disappointed when at the near end of the game my fellas betrayed me.
Having played four of them I can assume you - every game of this series will have a betrayal at the end.

What this video doesn't show is the half hour of driving, stopping and killing a truck of soldiers chasing you, and repairing your vehicle required to get to these firefights.

The moment when everyone gets aggressive is when there mother tells to shut down the game and do study
This video is so relaxing for me because it just reminds me of how i played back in the day and how simple open world games were back then. They just threw a huge arsenal of weapons and vehicles at you and heartless enemies and you were completely free to how and often even if to take them out. Everything was more fast paced and story was told in the game itself rather than cutscenes. Overall you had the feeling to be in an action packed world where you could be as free as a bird. Great times. Sad for me though how open world games have changed nowadays not everyone likes interactive movies.
