Although I have never been to this mall, I miss the old fashioned ones where the mall in which every store was there and there were no space left unused. Now, I believe the Gurnee Mills mall in Illinois is getting scarce with stores. 😢
I worked out at the Beaver Valley Nuclear Plant in that area back in 2015. When i first made it to Monoca, that mall was the first place I went to find food. It was dead back then and I'm honestly shocked it's still operating today.
I worked in Mickey's Barber Shop for many many years Mickey opened his shop when it first opened and took out a 25-year lease after the lease he wanted to re-up and they put him off for about 10 years so he kept paying the same rent he did as when the shop opened in the early seventies... Mickey was a smart businessman
There was more people at the mall in your video than I've seen there all summer. 80% of the stores are vacant. If it's not dead to you, then it's at least got one foot out the door
