This buffet defines the typical average Asian buffet. At $20 dollars it's an OK value and offers a wide variety of food. Set your expectations correctly and this place is fine.
$20 is a GREAT DEAL! Any Dish a la cart is already $12+ at non Buffets Minimum Wage April 1st will be $20/hour at Local Fast Food Places here, so Prices will go up ✌✌

It seems like ordering fresh from the Mongolian section was the way to go. At that price point it's hard to get good quality. Thanks for letting us know. Cheers Shin!
If I got 2 full bowls of that Mongolian BBQ for $20, I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. I feel like even one of those bowls a la carte somewhere would be like $13-$15 so great value here. Thanks for watching!
Always an honest and professional review. I though initially that a 20 it was very average food. The Mongolian Grill feature is something I have never seen, and raised my opinion to VERY VERY good value!
Yes! The Mongolian grill is what really brings the value here. A single plate of Mongolian BBQ is still $10 on the cheap side and usually closer to $15 so I think $20 is really good here. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Shin for taking one for the team. $20 isnt too bad for a buffet. I would start with the Mongolian grill then work on the seafood and maybe some sushi but the dessert section was just bad. They forgot the little dried stale cakes: usually chocolate, vanilla and a carrot cake version 😂 oh they forgot the mini almond cookies too
I was curious about the lack of almond cookies because that's definitely a staple. But overall I think this place is a good value for a weekday dinner. Thanks for watching!
Hi guy ! So glad the Mongolian BBQ was excellent ! But your reaction to that hard as tack sugar cookie cracked me up ! Cheers to a great video as always Shin ! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING TOO ! m.
Hi Shin! I must say you were very forgiving on this place. From my angle most all of that food ( except the Mong bbq ) looked awful. It all looked over cooked, dried out and old! The only freshly cooked dish was maybe the veggie and seafood saute that was in the intro. For the price I'm sure you could get full there. But now we know, thanks for taking us along. Karla in Cali.
Yeah I have a certain expectation when I go to a buffet like this and it checked all my boxes. I didn't know about the Mongolian BBQ so that was a treat. A la carte I'd say that plate alone is like $13-$15 most places at least. Thanks for watching Karla!
Yes, large variety for the price. Mostly "take out" quality, which i personally am not above at this stage of my life. First time I've seen someone review the taste of a fortune cookie.
I haven't been to a Buffet at Asia for years. It doesn't look too bad for $20. I do want to check out the new location on Flamingo and Algonquin Drive one day since they moved from their original Flamingo and Eastern location. Also last time I was in that area visiting Wii Play Games West I could smell the fried shrimp down the parking lot lol
Aloha Shin! I was really hoping you would try the frog's legs! No one is frying those up for a buffet. Another excellent, honest and balance portrayal of a local spot. Much mahalo!
Agreed. I went to Habit Burger the other day and a single burger combo was $13.09 before tax. $20 for this buffet is value for sure. Thanks for watching!
I'd go just for the Mongolian bbq. I used to go to them all the time in my college days but there is only one where i live now and its $20 for a single bowl.
😊😊😊another great video. You do a fantastic job of explaining the various dishes. I love their shrimp dishes and the mushrooms and the teriyaki chicken. Great value for the money. I need to try the Mongolian BBQ. Been there many times and never wanted to wait in line for it.
I was going to do a seafood plate with those and more after the Mongolian BBQ plate but I cleaned it and was so full after I just couldn't. Maybe another time. Thanks for watching!
I had to watch your review because I did not like that buffet at all and wanted to hear what you would say about their foodl. I stayed there about 20-25 minutes and could not even eat the few things I had placed on my plate because it was so bad. It's a shame that I did not see the Mongolian BBQ; You are an honest reviewer, and I think I will be watching you again and maybe even subscribing to your channel. Thank you for your honesty.
LMAO was going to say...the Mongolian dish was the best dish of the night...I think a lot if the dishes sat too long, maybe if you got there when they first opened, the outcome would of been different 🤔🤷...see you on Sat. 😉🤗😊
We used to go to Buffet @ Asia all the time. Never went to the one you were at, but all the time at the Nellis and Charleston one and the Flamingo and Eastern one. Back in the day when it was around $13.99, they used to serve Snow Crab legs every night... not just on weekends. The problem is that they boiled the flavor right out of them, and then let it sit in hot water on the buffet line, reducing the flavor even more. And even then, they only brought them out in very small batches every 15 minutes or so, so not everyone got any unless they were quick. The rest of the food is just either fair, or not good, but nothing was excellent. Was acceptable when it was $13.99, but certainly not a great deal now. So we quit going. I would rate Panda Express higher at half the price. Albertsons has Snow Crab legs for $9.99 a lb which can be steamed or boiled for 5 minutes and are fantastic... I would venture to say that even the high end buffets are not as good as the crab we can make at home. But we have been to a lot of places that have been more expensive and less expensive, and felt that we got a much better deal than at Buffet @ Asia. Take a pass and go to Main Street Station Buffet for more money for a better deal.
Considering that a smaller Mongolian BBQ plate with less meat ala carte is usually at least $13-$15, I think this is actually a good value. Thanks for watching!
Another Great Review 😊✅👍. Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers 🥂 Shin. Bowls & Bowls of Mongolian BBQ & Shrimp’s ❤. We Love All You Can Eat Mongolian BBQ here in Los Angeles. Awesome 😎
Thanks for your very good video. Although I have lived in Las Vegas forever, a bud and I wanted to go to a buffet not in a casino on Saturday. Although we often do AYCE for sushi (for which Hikari gets my top pick, Flamingo and Buffalo), there aren't too many choices and it seems that this might be the best non-casino option for having a west side location around Sahara. This seems to be better than the Krazy Buffet on West Sahara, which isn't a terribly high standard. Much appreciated, for which you gave great attention to detail. Very well done, and I wish you the best!
@@VegaswithShin Thank you so much Shin. I look forward to your upcoming videos, and appreciate your expert advice. My bud and I will be there on Saturday. Best wishes for all that you are doing.
I mean for $20 it seems like a great bet! Apropos of nothing, I hope you try Ferraro's sometime. I looked through your previous videos and didn't find it. Thanks for another great video!
Every restaurant is a buffet but when it actually is a buffet you have to approach it a little differently because you can't take food to go and they get mad if you waste too much
Hi Shin, I enjoyed the video as always! Do you have plans to review restaurants in the Art District? I'd like to hear your thoughts on Esther's Kitchen's new location and others such as SoulBelly BBQ, Carson Kitchen, or 1228 Main, just to name a few around that area.
I definitely want to do the arts district, but I'm lazy and it's a far drive lol. I'll probably do like a month of arts district restaurants coming up soon so I can just get off my ass and do it lol. Thanks for watching!
Hi Shin...a BIG PASS for me, you get what you pay for...all the dishes didn't look appealing, but for $20 it might be worth it for a quick bite 😂...glad you enjoyed most of your dinner ...see you on Sat. 👍😉😊🤗😘
Lol! I have a spreadsheet of viewer suggestions for local videos and every week when I get a day to film, I just choose one that I'm in the mood for and I was just in the mood for an Asian buffet. I filmed at Golden Steer twice in one week and the thought of eating anything more like steak or American food was just not happening lol. Thanks for watching!
I am not going to lie when they have hand written signs that is usually a sign to stay away. (10:59) It is not hard to use Microsoft Word and if you are unable to afford it then we have other problems if you run a buffet! To me its a professional reason with the signs and shows you do not care if you just hand write them. If you do not care about the signs then what else do you not care about? (FOOD SAFETY) I would not eat there just because of that but that is my preference and to me a logical reason! SHIN you rock mate!! 2.9 out of 5 for this place.
Great video as always Shin. I've been seeing lit of ads for a place called The Martini on Fort Apache Road. From midnight-4am and all day Sunday they have a $15 fillet with purchase of a beverage. Have you tried it? We get off work at midnight and are looking for great places to eat like this. Maybe you could do a review?
That Mongolian bbq is worth the $20. Most of the food looks bright and tasty. Little sad to hear their appearances were deceiving and how multiple dishes had odd textures. I wonder if the cookie used the bad margarine and sat out all day? In Chinese bakeries, they often call it butterfly cookies. 🦋 Can’t say how many places use real butter 😆
Agreed. The Mongolian grill alone definitely makes it worth it. Didn't know they were called butterfly cookies. I'll try to remember that. Thanks for watching!
I was going to try the feog legs and the crab after the Mongolian BBQ but it was a mistake to go in that order lol. I was so full by the time I finished that giant plate. Thanks for watching!
Shin, If you would have eaten the fortune cookie first, the fortune would have said, "Beware of sugar cookies today." The Mongolian beef dish looks delish, and some places on the strip would probably have charged close to the price of the buffet just for that freshly-made dish. Enjoyed the review!
I have never eaten at anAsian buffet that was good so I don’t bother anymore. I love Asian food but prefer to eat at sit down restaurant that cooks the food to order. I appreciate you doing these videos though. The sugar cookie that you ate is called “Palmiers” I have made these before with homemade puffed pastry. When they are made homemade and fresh, they are divine. Thank you for the video!
At that price, it is a no brainer. I would be there everyday and eat my entire nutritional needs for the entire day. Eat lots of meat for the dinner and fill full until the next night. Just a couple rounds of the Mongolian Grill and then filling out the meal with nitpicking through the selections is doable everyday. You should try it again during Lobster Night.
VWS: Looks like you went from the Penthouse (Golden Steer) to the Outhouse ( Asia Buffet). IMHO food looked sad at first glance. Price wise pretty inexpensive. Personalized stir fry is the way to go.
Lmao! After filming at GS twice in one week, the thought of a meat place or American food was just not appealing. A good old trusty Asian buffet was where my heart found home. Thanks for watching!
@VegaswithShin well you can only take the "meat sweats" 🍖 so much. There is something oddly comforting about an Asian America buffet 😆 🤣 😂 😹. See you Saturday
$20 for all you can eat ragooooons is worth it alone lol.. it looks like cheap oily grocery store chinese food which frankly I love when I'm in the mood for it and $20 all you can eat if it's like that would 100% be worth it
The addition of the Mongolian grill is really what makes the value for me. A single plate of Mongolian BBQ is likely $12-$15 most places. And sometimes, greasy Chinese really hits the spot. Thanks for watching!
Totally agree. I feel like one plate would be at least $13-$15 most places and they would not fill you up with as much meat as I put in mine. Thanks for watching!
That stale sugar cookie countered your modest bite and latched a chunk of itself to your lips, thus forcing you to down even more of it. I guess this happens to lonely cookies that are left on the buffet for several days.
Hey so for the price , not bad ! Take your favorite at the buffet and then hit up the Mongolian grill !! Typical mediocre Chinese buffet joint . Though well worth the price if your on a budget and want to dine out for sure . If your on vacation in Vegas the strip well break the bank in two days !!! Lol 😮
Love your videos. We checked this out recently and I honestly have to say that it was 🤢not great at all! I see people commenting it’s ok for $20 - NO! It’s not even worth it. I didn’t even go for seconds it was so gross. Also, the plates were wet. Sorry but really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.
I’m Chinese American and This is a big no for me. How is it that every Chinese buffet across the country looks exactly the same in terms of food offerings? It’s like they’re all ordering from the Chinese section of Sysco and serving the same thing. Well I think I just answered my own question.
If you want authentic Chinese food, don’t go to an AYCE buffet. That’s not what is being advertised! It’s a business decision. Entrepreneurs know the formula and they run with it. Would you set up a bikini shop in Alaska?
Are you expecting a $19.99 buffet to carry abalone and shark's fin soup? Just how much can an entry-priced Chinese buffet deviate from another entry-priced Chinese buffet?
It would be so cool if you would pick a person, at random, in town and take them to whatever dinner you go to. Even if you did it once a year, just to break up the monotony. Always enjoy your videos
I think the logistics of that would be pretty difficult but it's not a bad idea. It just comes down to timing. I have a full time job, a second job, TH-cam, a relationship, and family obligations so it's very hard to try and squeeze in anything else. Even collabing with Norma ate a lot of my schedule so I don't know how many collaborations I will have on the channel. It's just so much work with my limited time. Thanks for watching!

I have not been there but it will be on the channel eventually! Maybe around this summer. Thanks for watching!
I'm jealous of the volume your hair has, just saying. It's 🔥 I could eat a whole plate of those cream cheese wontons.
Lol thank you! I too could eat a whole plate of those. Thanks for watching!
The jello looked the best. Can you try the other 2 locations?
I will eventually try the other two locations for sure though it may be a while. Thanks for watching!
I’m watching this while eating 😂😂😂😂
I hope whatever you had was delicious!
ty for the review looks like i won’t be going there 😂 my trip is in 2 weeks
Lol, happy to save you the trip. I hope your visit in two weeks is awesome! Have a great time and thanks for watching!
I don’t think I’d try this buffet. Thanks for your review
Happy to save you the trip! Thanks for watching!
No Won Ton or Hot and Sour soup ? 😢 thank you for another great video. What day of the week and was it crowded if you don't mind me asking?
This was a Monday around 6pm and I want to say it was full with a group of 6 waiting when I left. Thanks for watching!
@@VegaswithShin thank you for the response
You didn't try any of the sushi. Was that intentional? AYCE buffet sushi is usually not good.
Not exactly intentional it just worked out that way. I just get whatever intrigued me at the time. Thanks for watching!
I ate at this place once and my fortune cookie said “That wasn’t shrimp!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good one 👍
Lmao!!!!
Seems like Mongolian BBQ places charge about the same as the buffet price here, so everything should be considered an "extra"
Totally agree. I feel like one plate would be at least $13-$15 most places and they would not fill you up with as much meat as I put in mine. Thanks for watching!
Shin, you're a gentleman. Of all the place's you've visited this is on the bottom of the list.
Lol. I loved eating at places like this prior to being a TH-camr and I just can't forget my roots. Thanks for watching!
That stale sugar cookie countered your modest bite and latched a chunk of itself to your lips, thus forcing you to down even more of it. I guess this happens to lonely cookies that are left on the buffet for several days.
Yeah, it really wanted to be eaten lol. Thanks for watching!
Lol 😮
Agreed! The Mongolian grill definitely makes it worth it in my eyes. Good value here. Thanks for watching!
My man Shin!
Hi! Thanks for watching!
Every buffet is a buffet........if youre willing to pay?? Great video and informative. Dont think Ill be going there. Appreciate your honesty
Lmao! Every buffet is a buffet. Math checks out! Thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot for making me hungry for some chines food.
My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
not bad for 20 bucks
Honestly not bad at all for $20. Thanks panjo!
Toss up between this and Krazy buffet!
Yeah, I'd honestly go to either depending on distance. Thanks for watching!
The Mongolian BBQ looked good.
It was very good! Thanks for watching!
What was with so many dishes having sliced jalapeño seemingly just arbitrarily tossed in?
It's just their style I guess. I noticed the same thing. Thanks for watching!
Shein, it is Plantain, a sibling of the banana 🙂
Ah, good observation! Thanks for watching!
Unfortunate you didn't enjoy your visit. Thanks for sharing!
I thought it I saw it say they have cheaper times, but I couldn’t find it anymore
Lunch time is typically less expensive than dinner time though I'm not sure by how much. Thanks for watching!
$20 is a good deal!
Yes agreed! I thought it was a great value. Thanks for watching!
I’m Chinese American and This is a big no for me. How is it that every Chinese buffet across the country looks exactly the same in terms of food offerings? It’s like they’re all ordering from the Chinese section of Sysco and serving the same thing. Well I think I just answered my own question.
Yessssss u are right !!! But if I want a cheap eat I’ll go !!!
I think it’s that way for most cheap buffets
If you want authentic Chinese food, don’t go to an AYCE buffet. That’s not what is being advertised! It’s a business decision. Entrepreneurs know the formula and they run with it. Would you set up a bikini shop in Alaska?
Yeah, very likely. Thanks for watching!
Are you expecting a $19.99 buffet to carry abalone and shark's fin soup? Just how much can an entry-priced Chinese buffet deviate from another entry-priced Chinese buffet?
Great deal for 19.99
Yes! A solid way to spend $20 for dinner. Thanks for watching!
In any other city in the US, this would be priced at 15.99.
Except in LA, Miami and NYC, they might be $27. Thanks for watching!
I think you were too harsh. Add condiments to make things more flavorful. If the food is basically good, you can improve it.
Thanks for the feedback!
A lot of food for $20. Looks more like quantity not quality. Thanks for the video!
Definitely quantity over quality here but the Mongolian BBQ is a real treat. Thanks for watching!
Can you try the new location
I will try them out eventually. Thanks for watching!
Great price but uber one way is 20 bux from strip 😂. Negates the cheap pric
Yeah, more geared for locals than tourists for sure. Thanks for watching!
Cheap buffet, looks very good.
The price is right and you'll definitely get filled up. Solid place. Thanks for watching!
Shin, are you a chef?
I am not, just a dude with a phone and an opinion lol. Thanks for watching!
The food didn't look good at all?
Happy to save you the trip then! Thanks for watching!
so many jalapeños! lol
It's a theme for sure lol. Thanks for watching!
😍
Thanks for watching!
So much fried food!!!.
Yes, true. Thanks for watching!
Not a fan of buffets, usually low quality ingredients & too many people touching the utensils 😂
They're not for everyone that's for sure lol. Thanks for watching!
