- The Tomb Raider Trilogy has their own share of cheat codes back in the day. Fast forward to today with the Tomb Raider Remasters, these cheat codes are surprisingly still intact and useable. Thus, making this remastered trilogy still more fun to play!

What happened to side step left, side step right, back, forward then the turns and jump?
I've heard these can disable trophies/achievements, yet the you gain one for using the level skip cheat in TR1
indeed! it's such an odd decision to have an achievement to "cheat" yet disabling your trophy progress in the process hahaha 🤣
Exactly how is someone to get all trophies if one is a cheat and disable your trophies? I haven't really figured out how that works?
@@TheZeemeonly way you could do it then is to get all the others first & save the one that requires you to cheat for last.
@@Wr0zenif you have a save before you enable a cheat for the trophy you can load back to that save and your trophy progress will still be active because with the games original source code, reloading that save basically is memory wipe up until that save point

Why does every source keep saying you get unlimited ammo with the gun cheat?! You don't! You get lots of ammo but not unlimited.
Also the cheat gives you a load of medipacks and flares in TR2 & 3, but not in TR1, in TR1 you only get guns and ammo.
It's called unlimited because you still get to replenish with pick ups after killing the baddie or finding extra ammo/healthpacks for secrets throughout the game.
@@marisolmontesdeoca6247 That doesn't make sense at all buddy. Getting unlimited ammo would mean you never run out. Just like what the game gives you with the dual pistols.
@@marisolmontesdeoca6247 So by your logic you get unlimited ammo/health packs at the start of the game then? Because from that point you get to replenish all of that by pick-ups.
Woah. I did the unlimited health & weapons cheat (I kept getting shot at and had no medipacks, smh) And it worked! Thank you :D

The ammo doesn't look unlimited to me unless you can keep firing when it gets to zero.

Everyone: I have just discovered one thing. In the beginning of the level High Security Compound, it’s impossible to cheat until you get the pistols very late in the level, since Lara’s pistols and everything except one small medi pack, is taken away, and so you cannot do the Draw Pistols step to cheat.
This problem didn’t exist in the original TR3 for PS1, where you only had to press L2 and R2 in a code to cheat, if you remember.
I never used these, back in the day I used code breaker or action replay discs for cheats. And then the forums for said disc sites would have extra codes that gamers would share. My favorite code was spider lara so I could climb all over the map. ✌️🥳
Wait really!? That's creepy and hilarious at the same time HAHAHA I only used codebreaker on PS2 back in the day. I never thought codebreaker also existed on the PS1 too 🤣
I can't do the unlimited weapons cheat on Switch. Am I supposed to hold something?

How do you step back with the flare on ps4 I just can’t do it without bringing my guns out
The cheats executes well using tank controls only. Try switching to tank controls when activating the cheats, and change it back again to modern afterwards 😃

Yeah classic games just like this trilogy have cheats back then haha.. glad they still enable it in the remasters 💜
- I remember it was "turn around 3 times" in the originals (and you even write that in the video), so why is it you only turn around 2 times for each of these demonstrations?
- Also clockwise or counter-clockwise shouldn't matter, at least back then it didn't.
oops my bad! I based the cheats from Aspyr's support page where they wrote "turn around 3 times" in the website.. thank you for your keen eye 😄
Does it void achievements
on Aspyr’s support page they said it will block trophy progression so maybe it’ll affects other systems too including Steam achievements
Is that permanent, or until you reload without cheats? like in GTA games.@@higantegamerYT
@DaRush-The_Soviet_Gamer I haven't tried it myself but maybe the trophy/achievement progress block is only effective when you have a save file with the cheats enabled, for example the all weapons and unli ammo cheat.
Yes it does not permanently but on that save file yes it does. You have to start a new game file save without the cheats to pop achievements!

How do you crouch on ps5, there's no buttons for this?
If you are using tank controls, the crouch button is L2.
If you're using modern controls, the crouch is L1. Let me know if it helps 😄
@@higantegamerYT I'm playing on ps5, when I press L1 nothing happens, lara doesn't crouch.
When I go to the control settings the options to duck or dash aren't lit up and if you assign a button to them nothing happens , it still doesn't work
@@graemeyoung3678 TR1 and TR2 doesn’t have crouch feature, only TR3. The cheats with the crouch code only appears in TR3. 😃

Back in the day we had friends at school who would get the cheat codes out of some magazine and then pass them on to everyone. Along with a bunch of fake cheats like getting Lara naked and stuff.
@@Boris_V Ha ha, yes I remember we had a store that had imported gaming magazines like Sega power Sega Pro. But it was so insanely expensive, we just memorized it in store and hope you got it right when you got home.
There were game magazines back then with guides and cheat codes!

thanks for the tip! I just noticed it now that I only turned around twice while recording this video. I was basing the cheats from websites and Aspyr's support page that's why I put "turn around 3 times" 😅
When I do it she just blows up in tomb raider 2
Need to pull out a flare when doing it. Without it it runs the exploding lara command

All guns code skips the level on my game.. ??
They have the same inputs but the difference is the jump. If you jump forward, it will skip the level. But if you jump backwards, it will give you the guns 😃

Hmm the only way I can think of that happening is if you skipped levels without collecting SCION bits and without collecting your guns in NATLAS MINES.
You won't have a gun to shoot the scion with in GREAT PYRAMID, or any way to defeat the 2 final bosses.
I mean. If you climb well and fast, you might be able to skip Natla without killing her, but the torso mutant has to be defeated in order to open the platform door. If you have no guns you're out of luck.. Other cheats should be fine though. In theory.

Untrue, I used the guns cheat and beat the game just fine like two days ago on PS5, no issues whatsoever. I also strangely got many trophies too despite having used the guns cheat. Not sure if only some are blocked or what.
That was probably the thing they didn't do. If you skipped levels all the way to the last one and never picked up your guns in NATLAS MINES you can't beat the boss/Shoot the scion in the last level@@Xalmuster
