Adels is the truth. Halal trucks save lives in NY. The price point for the amount of food you receive is unmatched. Next time your ordering someting from a Halal spot it in NY you have to get it the NY way. BBQ Sauce, White Sauce, Green Sauce and a line of hot sauce. Make sure you express a line of hot sauce. That hot sauc eis not joke. A good Hala spot off the beaten path is Sammys Halal truck in Jackson Heights. While your there also try the Wendys across the street. It is going to be like having Wendys at the Wendys corporate office trust me.
It’s the meat n sauces, mate, halal is plain BS. Enjoy the food, if available at leisure.

Live in NYC and have been to many, many carts. 1.5 hour wait for halal cart food is insane. Great content, as always. Adel's, unfortunately, has become a tourist trap (just like Halal Guys was). Too many other carts in the city that can compare flavor & price-wise, but without the insane wait.
I recommend checking out Santa's (Union Square), Royal (Midtown) and Kabir's Kuisine (Soho) for Manhattan carts that compare.
You speaking nothing but facts 👏🏼
I hear they purposefully make food slow to buid up a line. I really don't think it's worth a fucking line like this...
Are you hearing things again !
People go there out of their own will, wait in line because they choose to, no one is forcing people.@@Drownedinblood
@@tobehonest7541he didn’t say anyone is being forced.
Some people enjoy being submissive and waiting in line. If you give them the exact same shit without having to wait in line, they will think the food must be a joke. Do you guys fucking get it?
This is why I couldn't rely on Kieth Lee's review on his recent NYC food tour because they suggested some bogus gentrified food spots to him. And when he got there, he only did black owned. Any real NYker knows that NYC has an international food culture. And the Halal food trucks are an international food staple in NYC. I agree 💯 on the halal food trucks there. I'm from NYC.
I work in the city there are many Halal carts Adele's got lines because of social media and tourist. I go to a lesser known one portions are bigger comes with a salad and it's $9.00.
Poor guy, you were suffering. Glad that they didn't dissapoint when it comes to the food. The food in NY is amazing. But after Dec 15th or so, it's too damn cold over there, and stay away from it in August . But i do love this city !! ❤
I personally enjoyed my visit to NY in sub zero temps during a particularly cold January. My fiance and I still covered about 80 miles walked in 5 days and it was a great time all around. I am from Chicago and I can tell you that seeing any city during the colder months is a totally different energy.
@@pinacolaaadas great that you guys had a nice trip to NY !! You guys are better with the cold i guess. I still have to visit Chicago on day and try to work my through my food bucketlist. I always have such luxury problems when i visit the US, the portions are so big !! It takes me longer to get through the list. Have a good one !!
Looked delicious. Probably shouldve eaten it indoors or in the car so you could thoroughly enjoy it. I could feel the cold through the screen lol
25 degrees, midnight , outside my city, watching, and this man is freezing in NYC 😅 i felt it
Car was parked mad far. No indoor places. I do this for y’all
Another superlative JL Jupiter production and presentation. Have been an Adel's customer for over a decade. I remember the good old days after a night out, we'd pull up to Adel's at 2:00 am, grab a platter and take it back to my apartment.
The anticipation driving home was torture. Back then there were no lines...a quick in and out. Now there's even a line at 2:00 am. Occasionally you'll luck out with a small line.
Adel's and Billie's Hot Dogs on 93rd & CPW are the best food carts in Manhattan. For Halal, nothing comes remotely close. Right now I'm a mere 30 blocks away (about 2 miles) and JL pushed me into the sirens song. But it's too cold out for a line.
Another great food truck is Tony Dragon's on 62nd & Madison. Their Grilled Chicken Platter is phenomenal. Grilled chicken, salad, yellow rice, vinegarette, white and hot sauce for $12.00. There's also a line, but if you ask for their phone number, you can order ahead. Tony and crew are just great.
I’m cold just watching you. Haha. The food looks so good!
It was!
before Adels, there was Halal Guys. Halal Guys are the OGs
Too bad it taste like dog shit now
Food looks delicious great find JL as always. Merry Christmas to you and your family
Happy holidays!
@@JLJupiterTVyou got to go check out Donkey place steaks in Camden NJ!!
How you from Philadelphia and not say "wooter"?
Philly card revoked...😁
this is most definitely better but in sicklerville theres a crown fried chicken that serves halal. their chicken and lamb combo with hot and white sauce is super super good

Adel’s is a legit spot. Halal guys ain’t that far and used to be my go to when I was in college but their food is not as good anymore. However, I personally wouldnt wait over 30-45 min for almost any food spot, especially in the cold
Did a tasting years ago with the Midtown Lunch crew. They are all fairly similar. The rice may differ. The yellow shirt guys are the most famous. They even have brick and mortar. Margon has great Cuban and Dominican, but closes at 430
Great vid but Bruh Adels is overhyped anyone from nyc who not a tourist knows that lol the best one is mahmoud halal truck in Steinway queens.Don’t get fooled guys
Hey JL! Hands down the best in town again?!! I was there a few months ago and missed that place! But I’ll be visiting again in a few weeks and will definitely have to try that place making that face of yours! 😂😍
That's some true foodie dedication, damn! 👏🤗😛
Chicken Over Rice & The Lamb Over Rice Hit Real Different From the Streets I'm Telling you jL keep Doing it Brother 💯💪🏾✌🏾
💯
@@JLJupiterTV U SHOULD start carrying your own utensils. Those flimsy plastic ones don't hold much food.
I still like your videos .. but please keep it like you started 💯😎 it feels like your intros ain’t What it used to be ..,🤦♀️🤷♀️🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴 NY♥️💯 Genuine And Real Ain’t nothing wrong with that 🐝
Yall crazy waiting 1.5hrs halal cart food! It's not worth waiting that long~!
Damn Good Job you’re Videos always Make Hungry but I’m From Arizona so not used to eating outside when it’s Freezing but I always Spread the Word about your Channel I Stay True💯
Yes def worth the wait. Key is to be first in line 😂
I know you rocked with Adel's and Halal Guys, but you gotta hit up Kebab Express on Bleecker Street. They're food is fresh and better than any of those halal carts. Get the combo of Lamb & Chicken Tandoori. It's absolutely amazing.
Its good when you catch it fresh.
Funny thing is I wanted to try Johns on Bleeker
shit mid
Only in New York the city that never sleeps. And they take cards they are one of a kind
How does it differ from other halal spots?..you shoulda got a regular degular platter too n see how they compare..i go to this spot Shah's by me..indoor location great food and they use brown basmati rice..These days are perfect for some pho..💚✌🏽
Your productions are stepping up, keep it up much love.
Appreciate that
Hey JL. I do like halal food. As long as it's good. And this one looks good. I'm going to say no to that spice. But the white sauce I'm all for. You only showed one dish. Enjoy.... 🐞❤️😋
Your head nod says it all. Next time I go home I will add this to my list.
Chicken 🐔 and Lamb 🐑 with Spicy 🔥 Rice 🍚
Foe life
Wheres the STAR of the show? Wifey hehe, your wifes funny, pretty but also gives the best food reviews with her facial expressions and noises she makes depending on food.Enjoy all your videos JL and a Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and family and friends.Bringing not just joy but eyes and mouth watering food to small food places, helps them for sure.
JL you know dang well to dress better than what you have on in this NY weather 😂
If you know you’re going to be outside in the freezing cold, why not dress accordingly to the weather to keep yourself warm?!?!
I didn’t know. I was winging it on this night.
I was there last Saturday, saw the line & banged out. Ain't no way this is worth that wait when compared to my usual spots. Great video as always JL
You never know until you try it.
Right on!
Theres a line for a reason
YUM but not waiting in a line in any weather!
Safe Journey!
Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha!!!
There is no food that’s worth waiting over an hour for. Just because there is a long line doesn’t mean it’s a must try. There are plenty of great food with little to no wait times. Often times its great food that’s blown up and there are many places that haven’t yet, aka hidden gems.
the wait for this place is just insane... always so fucking long
Wow it’s not the same I’ve been going here since 2008 and they use to have fresh vegetables carrots and broccoli with rice now they don’t have it anymore cause it too overwhelming for them they travel from queens
I had an halal platter in Philly. It was good. But i got a platter from a halal truck in Reading, and it was such a big difference. The truck in Reading pa was much better than the spot from Philly. And im from Philly.
Proud of you 🎉😮!!! patience is truly a virtue!!!
I was here till them lips started smackin👋
I know how cold NY can get.Thank you for the content. I watch all of your reviews, and I appreciate your realness. Stay humble bro!
$47 for 4 platters? that's a deal!
People who wait on line are really only doing so because of they hype. I'm not saying their food isn't good but there are many halal carts that have similar quality and taste as Adels with no wait at all. Imagine walking up to a random restaurant and they tell you its a 1.5 hour wait to be seated, most would say that's ridiculous and leave. Now imagine that same scenario for street food with no seating, you would think that you're dreaming to willingly do something that illogical.
JL im surprised you dont travel with your own utensils at this point 😂
goyslop in it's purest form
JL if you ever head down to the Jersey shore, Royal Grill 37 is the real deal. They're in Toms River on rt. 37 on the way to Seaside Heights. Best halal around! Great review, thanks!
Nah waiting 2 hours for any halal is crazy 💀
Idk but for a truck that is just opening up for the night that looks bad!!! Filthy!!!!
The Original Halal Guys is just around the corner if you haven't had it. They put Halal Chicken & Rice on the map.
Yo JL, i've been a fan since the start. Just a suggestion: in your voiceovers, rather than over-doing the background/scenary, why not throw in facts about the place like when did they start, how many plates do they sell in a day/month/year, etc. Keep grinding bro!
Thanks for the suggestion. Happy Holidays
Lamb is always good. It's very hard to F up lamb, unless you absolutely suck at cooking.
Adel took advantage of Halal guys dropping their quality and going more corporate
I’m just saying why JL isn’t putting out nothing before the holidays begins great video happy news everyone God bless
It’s sooooo good! Right across the street from my job!! You my guyyy ❤️❤️💯👍
The taste is similar to victory shawarma food truck in downtown long Beach. You guys should check it out if you're in California
You need to next visit
Sammy's Halal food cart at Jackson Heights, Queens
Shah's Halal food cart at Kew Gardens, Queens.
Good to see NYC come back after the pandemic..... Salute!
Plandemic*
When you come back to Lehigh Valley I neeeeeeeedddd you to stop at Crispy Spice or Flaming Hot Halal in Allentown and compare to the NYC carts.
I’ve had Halal guys and a few other small name carts in NYC and I think Allentowns STOMPS them with zero comparison
Shaolin has great halal spots ! I used to call hells kitchen home and ive had adels plenty of times , best rice ever !
i had Halal Guys and always loved it
BUT listennnnn!!!! when i tell you Adel's is the TRUTH!
i couldnt believe something can top off Halal Guys ... like the price and the flavor?! damn
Man that shi got me craving for some Adel's😋
unfortunately im in seattle 😭so enjoy it yall
The look on your face confirms it's official 😅 love the channel.
Eat there not the best your going to waste a hour for ok halal its for tourists. Empire halal at 1107 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10065 is the best
4:16 learn something new everyday 🤲🏽
Is that Hella Chluy you’re eating with ?
You hella correct
U SHOULD start carrying your own utensils. Those flimsy plastic ones don't hold much food.
With all the respect this kind of food is not worth to make a video for.
It's the junk of the junk and I'm not talking about the health issues with them yet.
As a new Yorker who work in Manhattan for about 30 years in the towing industry,i personally towed many food carts and i saw where they park them on the westside of Manhattan.
If you don't believe me then go see yourself......and don't forget to ask the trailer size Rats and the Cats that are tasting the food for you at the commissary please !!!!!😂
I used to live in NYC. There is no bad tasting food out there. It's ALL good. I challenge you to find a weak spot in NYC. I bet you won't.
Their food was crap. Halal guys is better and it's right next to it. They added famous to their name and parked next to halal guys to scavenge on their customers.
Better than Halal Guys now... thats what happens when they Franchised.. the quality went down.
Definitely top tier...but not worth 60-90 minute wait. They need to incorporate some sort of fast pass or something.
I never had "Adel's" but I wonder why there's no line at "Halal Guys" 🤔 Because it's Basura. 🤷
Adel's is awesome. You should also try halal bros on 53rd nd 6th ave. Theyve been around for 30+ years
I've had this Adel's several times- it's fucken goyslop in it's purest form.
Waiting in line for food for that long is stupid. Halal is not a type of food. Iam surpised New Yorkers are this astonished with this type of food. JL laid out the video well.
The last time I had Halal Guys it was horrible. The chicken was dry and rice didn’t have any flavor…
I find it amusing folks in the West eat rice with a fork. You should use a spoon so you'll scoop every piece of goodness. Use a fork for noodles or steak.
Enjoy homie. I work some years back at the garage that they store those carts in and if you see what runs in and out of those carts you wouldn't be eating on it they don't even clean it after they leave the garage they just heated up put the food on and bring it to y'all😂😂😂
I wished you tasted everything on its own first to see how it is then mix it. Kinda like pho got to taste the broth first before adding everything lol
Cry about it 😂
Their hot sauce is no joke, straight fire. Food tastes amazing.
Bro you waited almost two hours for that shit knowing there’s way better food in NY? That’s wild
Only thing good about NYC is the food and fashion. Otherwise it is the most trashy city in the world 🌍
Halal guys changed their recipe for cost cutting, they suck now.
Halal guys brick and mortar in NYC. Same food ,way less wait
once you try all the street meat in nyc.. they all taste the same afterwards.. been getting my street meat from Tariqs.. he is the shitz!!!.
I'm sure it tastes good but I would never wait that long for some food. I would just go somewhere else. It's never that serious lol
Go back please, go back please. You ain't the Ocky Way. 😆
If you’re cold one thing that helps a lot is zipping up your jacket 💀
You waited 2hr for processed lamb
Please stop smacking your mouth while you chew bro.
What's the price of a gyro and chicken over rice in most of these karts? And a drink?
Lmao everybody know you don’t play with NYC halal hot sauce bro that stuff is a killer !! Surprised it ain’t ruin ya whole meal lol
Gotta try basmala on 96th street and broadway Nasir will hook it up!
Is it true a platter at this spot is $18?! That's what it says on their website. It better feed three people then!
i live here for over a decade how did i not know this place
Instead of cheers start your meals with bismillah !! Do some research
Ain't no way that jawn worth a 2 hour wait - should I stay in Philly and enjoy the halal carts here instead?
Everyone who eats the halal carts says that they have been converted. Alhamdulillah 😂
This is overrated now and the food is not even good anymore. Now its just a tourist hype spot.
Shawarma Bay is my go to but I'm gonna try Adel's.
I’m not waitin bruh halal guys and keep it movin
