Seeing them in that situation killed any feelings OP had for her, prank or not. There are people who just go numb and have major trust issues after things like this.
Honestly the pranksters were lucky he just stormed out. There's a reasonable chance that a guy finds you in that situation and he starts throwing punches or worse. Why anyone would want to put that kind of doubt in your significant others mind is beyond me.
That mutual "friend" isnt a friend...hes bidding his time until they break up to make a move. Guys dont so these kinds of things with girls as innocent pranks. He just wanted her on top of him.
- if a homies girl came to me to do some kind of prank like that on him, i would call him immediately and tell him that in my opinion she is probably cheating with someone and wanted to pull this bs so that she could throw him off and perhaps give her an out for if she ever gets caught with who she is really screwing. Even if i was drunk enough in the moment to agree, when she suggested the parts about getting nude and wanting to straddle me during it, it would become completely clear she was hoping to use this in some way to leave the relationship as its impossible to fathom that kind of derpdom.
There are things you don't do pranks about. She knew it, the friend knew it, and yet they went ahead to do it anyway. It's not an overreaction as it exposes she values Internet validation over her relationship. That's the problem and the fact she brushes it off means she never respected him in the first place.
my question becomes even if you (girlfriend) though you were in the right, why would you want to be back with someone who would leave you over a prank? if he is overreacting why would you want to he back with someone who would overreact like that? seems to me like he wasn't overreacting and you are just trying not to face the consequences of your actions
When stupid had to keep out doing itself to further gain attention from random anonymous individuals online. It's an arms race to see who can out fuckery the last video/trend faster.
There's more to the story, OP (the bf) gives more details in the replies - The "friend" wasn't even a close mutual friend, OP and ex-gf knew the "friend" for about a year - Everyone, the friend group including ex-gf herself times and times again failed to understand that OP was hurt because the ex-gf were comfortable to be in that position with that "friend" while both are in their underwear, not by the prank itself but the extra miles taken for that "prank" - Initially, the video of the "prank" were meant to be posted online (YT, IG, etc.) for clout no doubts
Wait wait, The Saga continues. She deleted her account and made a new account begging for advice on how to convince his ex. Its hilarious Edit: Caughtcheatingprank is the username
If she did a normal cheating prank, like keeping clothes on and just having him sit a certain distance away from her and both acted suspicious as if they were “caught in the act” then i would have sided with the GF. But taking your clothes off is a huge RED FLAG🤮 i am glad OP broke up with her.
Someone commented the same thing as you in the OG post and Op replied and acknowledged that his reaction wouldn't have been the same if that was the case. The fact they were half-naked and she was on top of the 'friend' was the real problem for him, even if he knows it was supposed to be a "prank".
The thing with that is, you will forever have in the back of your mind "What if it was real?" That is never something to joke about. There is more to cheating than sex.
Even if they were clothed, that’s fucked up and I’d dump her anyways. 0 respect if that relationship if you’re willing to hurt and destroy your partner as a “joke”
She belongs to the streets, period. No need to overthink it (Also, everyone knows what that "friend" was thinking when he said they should undress, come on.)
Update even more, She made another account 6 hours ago and its now deleted. According by the title, they agreed to talk. I feel this won't end anytime soon
if this is not disrespect then i dont know what is. story sounds like it came from a youtuber named SmoothGio(friend) and the girlfriend dymond flawless.
Nah B you F around and found out. What level of brainrot do you have to think this was an ok prank?? That's why I hate those stupid "prank" videos on social media, real or fake, they make people like her think like that. No, leave that poor man alone and do better on your next relationship. Also I bet the mutual "friend" wants her too.
☺ 👌 nta O.P it is not a prank it just a trial run for actual a real thing 🤔 😉 👍 p.s how many friends actual doing the so call joke 🤔.. . . Mnmm i last remembered only two one is the ex gf and her a male friend 😂 red 🚩
"Because it was someone my BF liked and trusted"
Yeah, cause there's nothing so sweet as to salt the wounds of betrayal with grains of trust.
I bet her next relationship is going to be with that so-called friend that she did the prank with.
Play stupid games, win stupid prices

"I did not mean to disrespect our relationship". That is literally what you meant to do, and wanted to laugh at your BF while doing it
HO HO HO .... Marry Christmas.
Cheaters in making or if he took her back and she cheats, do not worry because "it's all a prank".
When did pranks go from like, putting something in a sandwich to some bs like this?
When stupid had to keep out doing itself to further gain attention from random anonymous individuals online. It's an arms race to see who can out fuckery the last video/trend faster.
Relationship betrayal like no others congratulations woman 😂😂😂
She's now with the "friend".
Exactly what I was thinking. They stripped down for the prank for a reason.
Salt instead of sugar in coffee, thats prank...what that immature child did is relationship breaking stupidity...

OP didn't want to be in that relationship anymore so he ended it. Whatever the reason, that is the thing you should do.

It's obvious that he wanted to be single
The word 'friend' doesn't mean what you think it means. Move on from the lot of them.
She wanted to see his reaction, she got it and then some, why is she complaining? 😅

How is that supposed to be a prank? The first thing that will come to the OP’s mind is that they were doing that…..

OP is NTA and the exgf/ex friend played stupid games and earned their deserved stupid prizes.
She’s just a whr. Move on.

These couples/relationship "pranks" need to be left in 2024.

Are you sure?
@@191_keshavmishra9 yeah the story sounded way too familiar, look it up search their names.
If the prankee doesn't laugh, it's not a prank. It's just you pulling the "it was a JOOOKE..." excuse after being an abusive ahole.
FAFO
Yeah… laugh it off when it was not even funny..

*Where's The Video With The Rest Of The Updates!*
She's too immature to be in a relationship. Plus no woman does what she did unless they're into the guy they're doing it with.
she was stupid, but at the end of the day, it was an overreaction for what sounds like a first time mistake from her
