  • Jerri MacMeekin was celebrating her first Fourth of July as a mother on Lake Conroe when her life was tragically cut short. MacMeekin fell overboard after a horrifying boat crash and it took two hours for her lifeless body to be discovered. Once Texas police began investigating, they found two people allegedly at fault for her death - one being her brother-in-law. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber breaks down the disturbing details of her death.

The statement implies that people should not get into a boat with someone who is drinking and driving, suggesting that those who do are also being irresponsible. In the context of the girl who got on a boat and ultimately died, this statement could be more than likely as victim shaming. It places partial blame on the person who got into the boat, implying that they lacked common sense, rather than focusing solely on the irresponsibility of the driver.

No one is trying to blame the husband. They specifically spoke about comparative negligence, including both the husband’s & her own negligence (choosing to be on the boat drinking with captains they knew were also drinking, at night.. choosing to not wear life jackets, etc..) possibly being factors or a defence (for the accused) in any lawsuits he may choose to file. From the moment the individual decides to to take others on there vessel they need to be prepared to do whatever it takes to keep his or her passengers safe. Check if a life insurance policy was taken out close to the accident.

The inaccuracies in this video are disturbing. You’re spreading a lot of misinformation while this family is going through most likely the toughest time of their lives. It is also very disrespectful to put out the infant’s name. Have some respect for those grieving the loss of their loved one.

The information is already out there all over the place. You think he's the first to put it out here? Come on now.

This is not what happened. Shane Anniboli was not with and did not know anyone on the pontoon boat. He did not jump in the water that was Jerri’s husband and brother n law and the brother n laws girlfriend. The boats did not collide. You need to verify and fact check this story. The only accurate information is that Shane Anniboli was arrested because he had stopped to help if he could and admitted when asked if he had had anything to drink.

So how did she get in the water if there was no boat collision?

How did she die? Did she go in for a swim? Did she fall over and the boat ran her over? Do we know how she died?

Never was there a worse boating tragedy than here in South Africa!!!
Three young adults lost their lives...the male steering the boat had a heart attack...did not hit the kill switch and boat spun out of control...the other male and female were flung into the water and were both cut in half with the propellers whilst their parents watched in horror😢😢
