In Holy Orthodoxy women have to cover their hair and pews are forbidden especially in a monastery 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It’s been my experience that it’s not general practice for women to cover in the Antiochian tradition. Also, good luck finding an Antiochian church without pews. This is just the way we do things 🤷‍♂️

@@johnlyman2054 Well, you are protestants, thats my experience. You are not orthodox.

@John Lyman Your silly experience only says that these churches are NOT ORTHODOX.

@@alexandermarkus9587 I sure hope that’s not the litmus test for what passes for Orthodoxy or not-that ends up making the faith look pretty superficial.
The monastery and school at Balamand is well known throughout the Orthodox world, and is blessed regularly by the presence of Patriarch Youhanna (John) and many other holy bishops and metropolitans who visit. It’s the very center, many would say, of the Antiochian Church.
If I remember right, one of the yiayia’s at the parish I regularly attend said that it’s not habit to cover heads in the Antiochian church because that’s a practice more often seen with the Muslim majority in the home country.
As to the pews, like I mentioned, I don’t think I have ever been to or seen (outside of Hamatoura monastery maybe) an Antiochian church without chairs at least. It’s one of those cultural things, I’d suppose.

@@johnlyman2054 You are posting protestant nonsense. These things are not superficual. The outward and the inward man belong together.
