I remember when I first picked up a keyboard to learn music in 2021 (During the COVID-19 period), I started by reading a lot of theory through several books and gave myself a task to know as much Music theory as possible. While reading, I always did some practice as a beginner, though things were not that easy. The reason for reading many different books from different Authors that repeated the same concepts at times (but I appreciate the fact that different authors have different approaches and this helped me understand the easiest applications of the theory and its translation into music) was to get the music theory engraved into my mind (it was the best time to read content of that nature, for I knew there will be not much time to read music theory once COVID is over because I was completing my I.T Undergraduate Program at the University). Until today, I use the same theory that was learned then during my practice and when I watch a video about a certain concept, it still connects very well with the theory that I learned (still reading and learning) thus easy interpretation and understanding. I have carried the same Knowledge of Music theory with just a small twisting to learn a guitar. I am impressed with your strategies, and I really believe that everyone who wants to learn the piano very well should dive into music theory ("It feels beautifully impressive when unlocking the limitless power of the piano through music theory"). The strategy works perfectly! Thanks, Daria, for putting this helpful video together, I am learning and watching from Uganda.🙏
Beginning my second year of learning piano. I watched some of your videos early last year and they were a great help - I tracked about 600 hours of learning/practice in 2023 and literally planning out 2024 study and your video pops up! Thank you!
Amazing! I am so glad my post was so timely for you! Wishing you to achieve new heights of piano playing in 2024! Happy new year! and Thank you for supporting my work here🙏🏻
Hi your concept of piano goals is enlightening. I think we all intuitively realize we will probably never master the piano and yet we have that as our default goal because we don’t have a realistic one. I also think your idea of becoming a musician rather than a piano player is bright as it actually simplifies rather than complicates what we are doing
Thank you very much your content is just amazing ❤ Could you make a video about how to express music through the piano? how our touch can influence the sound we are making?. You mentioned that on your video and I am super interested on understanding how we can create emotion through our touch .
Thank you, this was very helpful! I am the one that seems to avoid Alfred level 1 book, and is only motivated by the songs I love. So that is what I am doing, tackling very difficult pieces for me. I am having some success, and it is only my drive that pushes me to address the difficulty and overcome it. The passionate drive is very important. I am learning the importance of learning technique and need to make more time for that as well. Thanks again, this was very helpful for me!
Thank you so much for leaving your feedback! Absolutely! In my new video I am talking about how important it is to keep your motivation when learning! It is your greatest resource! I am so glad that it helps you overcome all the difficulties. For me it's the same. Some days when I have a bad performance, or practice not going well I feel very low for a day or two, but then my inner fire comes back and I go at it again and again. Always like this:) Wishing you an abundance of motivation and drive this coming year! 🥂🎁🥳
@@Dariafortepiano Yes, thank you. I don't fully understand why I have it, but if I did not have the drive I would not be doing this, because there are many obstacles. I am a beginning pianist. Once I am immersed, creating beautiful music and frequencies feeds the soul and/or the emotions and this in turn drives me to achieve better results. 🤩💥💫❤❤❤
Happy holidays to you Daria! Wishing you the best for 2024 with continued success for your Channel- thank you as always for putting your heart and soul into your work and helping out us lesser humans 😉
Aww. Thank you so much for your sweet words of feedback!🙏🏻 Although , I would never say any human is lesser, perhaps less fortunate than me, since I had a chance to learn music with a great teacher when I was young. I am very happy to share my knowledge with others, who were less fortunate than. And I am so grateful for all your support! Thank you and Happy new year! 🥳👩🏻🏫🎹
I have been taking piano lessons for four years and I practice without exaggeration everyday! Can you let me know of a piece that should be at the level a person after four years of instruction should be able to play? I’m wondering if the problem is me but I feel like I should be farther than I am. Any advice would be appreciated ! Thank you
You have the ability to explain things so that they can be easily understood by all and that go to the very heart of the issue, you are amazing

If you were my teacher and you were sitting next to me?
I would for the first time in my life, believe in heaven.😐
