- I decided to play the most expensive masterduel deck I could find (afford cough cough). Today- we mess around with the NEW Vanquish Soul deck! Was it worth the foreclosure of my home? Is Razen my new dad? Find out in this episode of Master Duel!

@NickReilly-iv6jg That makes sense. It's hard to be creative with decks so newer players and low ranks just copy decks, and once they get more comfortable with the meta and the cards, they start building their own decks and have more fun with it.

@NickReilly-iv6jg Thats true, I don't like using the new stuff and only got into Yu Gi Oh because of the classics and GX, and even though it's not effective at all I still enjoy using Blue Eyes decks and the old school stuff.
9:32 for those wondering, the reason Doto had to return one of his monsters is because Mad Love’s effect is to return the monster with the lowest defense to the hand.

It's really satisfying seeing you enjoy VS so much, it's basically become my main deck at this point!
It's nice to see people try and climb with Pure VS! They also suit your Dragon Ball Fighters style of looking at things button mashing at the right time and taking into account where to tech. Cool video, Doto!
I love that Doto picked up VS. Not only is this deck electric to play, but actually has cred in the Meta.
I remember how all the V.S doubters said the Deck would only be Rogue in MD. It's considered Tier 1 now. And a V.S player won 1 of the Dkayed tournaments the day the deck pack for V.S released

As someone who has never had their turn timer go below 200, watching doto stress about the turn timer is an experience.

Vanquish Soul was the deck I used to get to master rank 1 for he first time, it is such a good deck, very fun to play to. Keep it up Doto next step is to get to master rank 5 you can do it🎉

Glad you're enjoying vanquish soul, it's also my favourite deck and I managed to bring it from silver to master 1. Here are some tips when playing it:
If you have Razen + any fire, when you get to Jiaolong generally dust devil is the best search from Jiaolong. Even if you only have fire on your turn, you can Jiaolong search on their turn, and rock summon Razen to search a second time on the opponents turn meaning you get to search out the earth/dark you are missing.
With the kashtira engine, riseheart is only there to give fenrir the option to get you a fire from deck to hand if you need it. Most of the time it's not a good idea to summon riseheart from hand, just keep the fire in ur hand. You can't make ariseheart unless ur facing a kashtira player who summoned shangri-ira.

Normal Summon Razen.
Razen effect grab Borgar.
Special Summon Borgar.

@@mattelwood980 Well no, you need Fenrir + Razen; which is as good as a hand gets, not rlly a brick. Ur practically never in a spot where you brick, but can also make ariseheart and it's worth it to do so

I want to try making it to the top tier too but I get so burnt out on negate and combo decks if I play for too long. I’m also not good at building competitive decks on my own either.
You Doto are the reason I even bothered going back to Master Duel to grind this deck, I am so glad I did

It would be fun to see a gladiator beast/vanquish soul hybrid deck. You'd only have to change a few summon able monsters and a couple of spells and traps to do it. Well and add at least two gladiator beast fusion monsters to the extra deck. But hey you wouldn't run out of attributes as when you need them the most.

Duel 1, jiao add mad love, normal it, find snow. Pass. DP, jiao find borger, m1 borger bounce mad, borger draw 1. Rock summon razen whenever they summon to a vacant zone, find valius. Now u have all 3 for snow. Razen pop w/e he summoned. Later in the turn snow their shit and they usually scoop.
Doto, I was just re-watching the mario party videos and I think yall should do one again I bet it would kill. I saw that stream of the one on the switch and it was hilarious. Also W character progression on the Yu-Gi-Oh skills haha.

Overlay Fenrir and Borger into Shangri, Riseheart's effect to banish 3, lock a zone with Shangri, then you can use Rise to summon Arise-Heart.
During stand-by Shangri would've summoned a new Fenrir so you can still get his banish.
No he wouldn't have been able to summon a fenrir, he banished it so that he could use riseheart

Edit: Btw, those who aren't aware, if you use Triple Tactics Thrust to search for a spell, then select "No" when asked if you want to set it. Choosing to set the searched card is what makes it unusable that turn. I think they did that so you can't activate a trap basically for free from the search 😂
no, they did it so you can't search and use a spell if your opponent controls no monsters. you can only add the card to hand if the opponent controls a monster, so you're forced to set (and be unable to activate) spells if you get ashed going first, for example.
if it set a trap from deck, the trap would still be unuseable that turn due to game rules. some cards like labrynth stovie torbie set traps from deck, but they can't be activated that turn unless an effect (like labrinth cooclock) specifically enables it

The best thing about Vanquish Soul on Master Duel is that it’s literally so much cheaper on here rather than building the deck irl. Really makes me wonder how good it would be if Maxx C didn’t exist.

Im remember fighting that ritual deck and its basically designed so that you special summon floodgate and skip both your opponents main phases. Really toxic but my opponent literally couldn't pull it off because I was running mathmechs
I love the Vanquish Soul deck it so much fun to use, I want to see more cards for it and more fighting game references and please I want more Blazblue references for it .
