I've memorized every single moment Every fleeting passage of time The way you'd laugh and dance in the kitchen After drinking too much cheap red wine I always rewind, the home movies in my mind Back to the times, first moving in with you I have so much to tell ya Please come back to Philadelphia This place ain't the same without you Anna You got a great big new promotion But now you travel so damn much It's like our studio apartment is just a place to keep your stuff And when you're away, I walk around in a haze Reminiscing the days, first moving in with you I have so much to tell ya Please come back to Philadelphia This place ain't the same without you Anna And oh, how the neighborhood's changed And all our friends keep asking for ya This place ain't the same without you Anna But I will wait, for you babe Take as long as you need to take I'll be fine on my own Counting down the days until you come home I have so much to tell ya Please come back to Philadelphia This place ain't the same without you Anna And oh, how the neighborhood's changed And all our friends keep asking for ya This place ain't the same without you Anna But I will wait, for you babe I have so much to tell ya I have so much to say Take as long as you need to take I have so much to tell ya I have so much to say Oh, Anna
i stumbled on this band in the most chance way i can think of: clicking the link that sends you to a completely random wikipedia page. that page just happened to be the one for hello exile. now the menzingers are one of my favorite bands ever :D
This is one great, absolutely great song. Since an old bandmate introduced me to The Menzingers, they have ever since been my go-to for every emotion..... when I'm happy, stoked, sad, pissed at the world, everything. Having said that, I have to play "the devils advocate" and honestly say, dudes live vocals are not great at all. On the album's his voice is angelic, and in could not hear anyone else busting out chops like his,.. but live, he makes me believe he is the son of Stevie Nicks. Sometimes to flat, other times very sharpe, but never fails to over do that tremelo goat effect... Am I alone here??
@@samhunter8012 you must be tone deaf. The point of my original comment was to point out how polished up the album is. To me this is nails on a chalkboard. But like I said this is a great song, the key it is played in isn't very flattering.
@@Levottomat01 I agree with the tuning a step down (rather than their usual half a step) but the key is Bb major. Normally for this song it's Db major.
this song is amazing and menzingers are amazing but damn just lower the pitch more, its hard to watch him struggle to sing and i take it this is already probably at least half step down to original? im checking after the fact :p
I watched this high af and was not prepared for the greatness
Happened the same to me, high af and felt it in my soul, I love the Menzingers so much!
Dude you’d never guess lmao SAMEEEEEES
This is a great vocal performance.
His vibrato is absolutely fantastic. What a voice.
Yes! You don’t hear a lot of vibrato in vocalists in this genre. It sure is purdy.

By far the BEST band ive ever seen live.
I saw these live. They say never meet your heroes, but they're even bigger heroes now. Absolutely love them
You’re so lucky

I just love watching him sing.
I was a senior is HS when On the Impossible Past came out. Been one of may favorite bands since.
This song means a lot to me.❤
Do an acoustic release of the entire album please
An acoustic version of farewell youth might make me sob but I'm 100% down
Dude an acoustic version of strain your memory would fuck us all up
This is the only right answer right here.
You've predicted the future, my friend.
This comment has aged so beautifully 😃 Only a few weeks til the release!
"Met" you at Warped Tour in New Jersey and caught a show in Detroit last month. You guys have FANs, baby.
Wish I could figure out these chords so I can do a cover - this is such an amazing song
C - F - A minor - G
god I fucking love this song
My fiancés name is Anna and this album to say the least has hit me hard with how many times her name is mentioned haha
For Ana.
Is this the guy who sang this on the album? It sounds nothing like him.
nice dear

No, you’re absolutely right. What can ya do 🤷♂️
Ya you’re pretty much alone on the one,you got one other. They are fucking amazing live

@@samhunter8012 they seem great live but you’re in denial 100% if you think his singing is good here. Doesn’t mean you’re not a fan. It’s ok.
Am I the only sane sonuvabitch here?!?
👍🏻🇩🇪
Anyone have chords pls
You cant tell the chords from watching the song?
@@Levottomat01 if I could then do you think I would be asking?
@@jw3228 Can you play the guitar?
I think they've dropped the tuning to D.
It's pretty simple. Played in C.
C F Dm G Am.

Wait, start over...
That guy is holding the guitar in the wrong side
Greg is playing guitar left handed, it does look odd I get it
This band….

Tom looks like Matthew Santoro with glasses, great song nonetheless
